Luna Eclipsed

Your pov:

It had been two months since my friends talked to me about fears and stuff. I still have those fears but not as much since then. But I've been getting back to my normal routine or what counts as normal. I'm still training, but only for early mornings so I could hang with my friends. I usually help Twilight and Spike with the library, help Twilight with research on Pokémon, read books, and do other magic and science research. With spike we discuss comics and mares..... which is mostly Spike talking about Rarity.

With Rarity I help with being a model for her. She also teaches me about high society and stuff like that and have relaxing trips at the spa with Fluttershy. With Fluttershy I helped with making sure the animals and Pokémon were feeling better. We also have tea and talk about our knowledge on animals and Pokémon. Although at some point she started teaching me to knit? Anyway, With Rainbow, we've been doing crazy stunts together.... I can't fly, it's just that we do stunts that both of us can do and give each other pointers. We also went to a wonderbolt show that was in Cloudsdale. We also spent time with Pinkie doing pranks which was pretty fun.

With Pinkie, I help her with setting up parties and cleaning up the parties. She started teaching me to cook which is useful considering that Spike was usually the one who cooks..... We never let Twilight cook, I learnt that the hard way. Pinkie would sometimes have small parties with me, Gummy, and (m/n) which were pretty fun.... Although it would help if it wasn't in her room because it was verrrrryyyy awkward sitting in a room where her body pillows of me and the others were on her bed where I can see. Finally is Aj and I help her around the farm. Bucking apples was hard..... for the trees, but I did managed to learn to control my strength. I've learned that Aj was a manga lover which was surprisingly awesome. Because I didn't expect her to be a manga lover. Her collection of manga series were Naruto and Pony ball! Still not sure why there version of Dragon Ball was called that since that was the main change here but whatever!

So yeah, my life since has been good and today is gonna be the best! Because today is based on one of my favorite holidays. Today was Nightmare Night! A time for candy, scare pranks, Tping a house, costumes, and horror movies.... At the Ponyville theater thru a projector screen but still. I was dressed as a team Rocket Grunt and I was ready to hit the town! In fact, I think I'm gonna sing. I took a big breathe and I was about to start when I heard. "How do I look?" I was interrupted by Twilight who was in her costume.

"You look great!..... uhhhh..... your Gandalf?" I said. "I'm Star Swirl the Bearded!" She said as I looked at her in confusion. "Father of the amniomorphic spell?" "......." "He's like only the most important conjurer of the pre-classical era....... He created more than two hundred spells! He even has a shelf in the Canterlot library of magic named after him." "......" "ugh!!! Looks like we're gonna have to do a history lesson tomorrow." She said. "What?! I mean, .....Noooo of course I know Star loop" "Swirl." "Swirl the bearded..... he's like..... only the greatest wizard of all time. Hahahaaaaaa......" I said nervously as she stares at me. ".....There's gonna be a test isn't there." "Yep!"

Time skip

Me, (m/n), who is dressed as a Meowth, Twilight and Spike, who was dressed as a dragon, had walked around the town trick and treating..... well, Me, (m/n), and Spike were. But it was still fun, seeing all the ponies dressed up, watching the Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist dancing and singing song the streets, which I was told last year was a usual thing for them to appear around this time of month in Ponyville. It was also to see some of our friends out and about in their costumes. Rainbow was a shadowbolt, Aj was a Scarecrow and Pinkie was a chicken which was very different from last years nightmare night.

Flashback

No pov:

The Keldeo was waking through the nights of Nightmare Night dressed as a pirate when he/she dropped a piece of candy that stopped by a sewer grate. The Keldeo reached to grab it when a pink hoof with sharp points tried to grab him/her which belonged to Pinkie who was dressed as an evil clown. "Ha!! Prepare to suffer the curse of Puffymanez the clown! Thats manez with a Z by the way. Now prepare yourself for a relentless haunting where I shall haunt your dreams and every street corner until I drag you to the sewers where you shall face your doom!!" She yelled. "Uh Huh..... and ummm.... How are gonna do that?" (Y/n) asked. "Errr..... Get in the sewer!! Oh forget it. Look I wanted to be a scarer this year but it's so far not working out. I've been trying for every nightmare night but I'm just not scary.... Maybe next year I should..... how long since he/she left?" Pinkie asked as the Keldeo was gone and a random pony was standing there. "Quite a while actually." "Huh.... Then you shall suffer the curse of Puffymanez!!" She yelled as she tried to grab the pony but couldn't reach as the pony walked away. "You will never be free of me!"

Present

Your pov:

".....why did I remember the part where I wasn't at?" I thought as the four of us had reached to the town center where all the ponies were gathered and on the stage was the mayor who was dressed as an regular clown and next to her was the Spoink from the race and it had its face painted like a skeleton. "Thank you, everypony, and welcome to the Nightmare Night festival!" The mayor said as everyone cheered. "Now, all the little ponies who have been out collecting sweets should follow our friend Zecora to hear the legend of... Nightmare Moon!" She said that last part trying to be spooky but unfortunately due to her being a regular clown it doesn't work.

"Spooky voice might work better if she wasn't dressed like that." Spike said. "Yeah, Pinkie's clown costume was better." I added as Zecora was explaining to the little ponies about nightmare night and Nightmare Moon and how every year they leave an offering to her so that she won't eat them. "Still wonder how that story began." I thought as Zecora continued while the foals and Pinkie screamed until a very loud thunder was made which frightened everyone. We all looked up to see one of the most terrifying thing flying towards us.

"It's the grim Reaper!! He's here to get our souls!!" I yelled in panic as the chariot landed which the two carriers were actually batpony's wearing Luna's guard armor and the figure who I thought was the grim reaper was  Princess Luna, who apparently changed her mane and tail, who has just took off her cloak, and then a unicorn with a broken horn walks next to her and she was wearing one of Luna's guard armor as well.

(Imagine her wearing Lunar guard armor like the bat ponies but minus the wings and helmet)

Then with a very booming voice Luna yells. "Citizens of Ponyville! We have graced your tiny village with our presence, so that you might behold the real Princess of the Night! A creature of nightmares no longer, but instead a pony who desires your love and admiration! Together we shall change this dreadful celebration into a bright and glorious feast!" Then lightening and thunder was made as she finished that sentence. "Did you hear that, everypony? Nightmare Moon says she's gonna feast on us all!" Pinkie yelled in terror as almost everyone started screaming and running. ".....Seems like a normal reaction from an introduction like that." I thought as I saw Luna and the unicorn trying to calm the ponies but to no luck. She and the unicorn then leaves which left me (m/n) and Twilight to talk to her.

Time skip

We managed to follow her and the unicorn to a bridge. "Princess Luna? Hi, my name is-" Twilight began as we walked up to her and the unicorn when Luna Interrupts her saying. "Star Swirl the Bearded. Commendable costume! Thou even got the bells right." "Thank you! Finally! Somepony who gets my costume! Uh, I just came to welcome you to our celebration! My actual name is-" Twilight tried to say but Luna interrupts her saying. "Twilight Sparkle." And then she yells out. "It was thou who unleashed the powers of harmony upon us and took away our dark powers!" "Luna! Inside voice!" The unicorn yelled. "Oh! Sorry. Still trying to get the hang of this." She said.

"It's fine.... Have a little bit of ringing but it's fine." I told her. "Thou are the young unicorn that accompanied her..... We believe it was.... Keldeo?" Luna said. "(Y/n)." I told her. "Ah! ....Then whose Keldeo? Is it this little Morpeko?" She asked as walks up to (m/n). "That's (m/n). Keldeo is what (y/n) is." Twilight answered. "Huh, We thought thou was a unicorn?" "No, just a Keldeo. It's a interesting story-" I began as I walked to her but the unicorn with the broken horn blocks my path. "Nopony gets close to the princess!" She growled. "It's fine Tempest. Thou doesn't look dangerous." Luna said as she was petting (m/n).

"Gee, thanks." I deadpaningly said as Tempest backs away."Tempest is our Captain of the Lunar Guard so she takes Thou job very serious." Luna explained. "And I shall do my job the best that Luna deserves ever since she personally chose me." Tempest said. "So Princess.... I saw your entrance to Ponyville and uhhh.... How the ponies reacted." Twilight said hoping to change the subject to why we were here. "We just don't understand why all the ponies ran away in fear?" Luna said. "Well you kinda came here...." Twilight began trying to find the right words to say but I decided to just plainly say it. "You came here dressed like the grim reaper while thunder and lighting was made and introduced yourself in a very loud voice." "But the cloak was the traditional cloak of when we go out to celebrate a event with other ponies and The yelling is the traditional Canterlot voice. Which I am trying to let go but we still don't have a good grasp on it." Luna explained.

"And the thunder and lightning?" "I thought it would make sure that the ponies know that she is still a princess and must not be taken for granted." Tempest said. "Yeah.... Not a great idea." I said. "Could thou help us? We want the ponies not fear us." Luna asked us. "Well, since your trying to lower voice so ponies don't get intimidated. I think I know the perfect pony to help with that." Twilight as she motions us to follow her. "Who does she..... wait? Does she mean Fluttershy?! Oh no!" I thought as we were all walking.

Time skip.

We had arrived to Fluttershy's house which had signs outside saying to "go away" "No candy" and "No ponies home." Also all the windows are boarded shut. "Uhhh.... Are you sure this pony could help her majesty?" Tempest asks. "Thou captain is right? This pony doesn't seem like thou could help?" Luna said as we walked up to the front door. "She's just not a fan of Nightmare Night, but I promise you. She is the most kindest pony you'll ever meet and she's an expert on being quiet." Twilight said as she knocked on the door. "Go away! No candy here! Visitors not welcome on Nightmare Night!" Fluttershy yelled which Luna and Tempest looked at Twilight.

"Heheheee..... like I said. She's not a big fan of Nightmare Night." Twilight nervously said and then she calls out. "It's ok. It's just me, Twilight." The door slowly opens and Fluttershy pokes her head out a bit. "It is you. And (m/n) and (y/n).... And the Princess.... And a really scary looking Unicorn!?" Fluttershy yelled as she slams the door. The Luna and Tempest looks at us. ".....At least she's not scared of you." I told Luna. "Thy does feel a little bit better."

She said as Twilight managed to Fluttershy back out. "Don't worry. She's harmless." "I'm captain? I am not harm-" Tempest was fixing to say before Luna nudges her. "Oh, errr... yes.... I am.... Harmless...." Tempest said while gritting her teeth. "If you say so.... What brings you all out here at the time that Nightmare Moon comes out?" She asks which which confuses us a bit. "Thou is confused.... Does thou believe that I am still Nightmare moon, but yet.... Thou is not afraid of thy?" Luna said. "Your weren't the real Nightmare moon. The real one lives in the Eveerfree." Fluttershy said as she stared at the forest in fear.

"But.... Didn't all of us saw Nightmare moon get destroyed and Luna is reverted back to normal?" I asked. "No! The real the one is In the forest! You should know! You were attacked by it and we all heard the wail!" She yelled. "I'm pretty sure it was just some strong Pokémon that beat me up." I said. "It was No Pokémon, I remember it since the day I first saw it!?" She yelled as she runs back inside. "Now please let me stay inside and not have to deal with it?!" "Wait!? Can't you tell us more!?" Twilight asked. "Let's just say I saw it around the time I got my cutie mark and I saw some horrifying things that day and I really don't want to talk about it." She told us.

"Ok.... But could you give Luna some pointers on lowering her voice? She's not used to not using her Canterlot voice." "And it's quite loud I might add." Me and Twilight said.

Time skip

We were in town again after Fluttershy helped Luna on not using her Canterlot voice which Luna gave a big hug in thanks, but unfortunately, Pinkie and the foals saw her and mistaken her for trying to eat Fluttershy which they all ran screaming. As we were walking I still couldn't get the thought that Fluttershy thinks that Nightmare moon was still around and was not Luna and that she had a run in with this one that attacked us when the CMC went to the forest. I just wish I knew what was the thing that attacked me.

But unfortunately, that would have to wait. We still have to help Luna on getting the other ponies to not be afraid of her. We decided to see Applejack because she is the most likable pony in Ponyville and she could help Luna also be likable. We managed to find her managing a Apple bobbing game. Once she saw she us she took one look at Luna and was nervous and a little bit afraid. "How is Fluttershy the only one who is not afraid of her..... Besides me, (m/n) and Twilight." I thought.

"Look. We're wandering if you could help Luna to fit in around Ponyville so ponies won't be afraid of her." I told her as Aj had eyebrow raised as she looks at Luna and Tempest and then back to me. "Really?" She said as me and Twilight grunted in annoyance. "I mean... that's easy! All you gotta do is have the right attitude. Loosen up a bit, be positive, play a few games, have some fun." Aj quickly said as this was the start of how all things went wrong.

It went well the first time around. Luna was getting the hang of having fun and ponies were starting to not be afraid of her. But then a young colt fell into the Apple bobbing crate and Luna managed to save him but then came Pinkie and just like that ponies were afraid of her again..... It also doesn't help that when Luna tried to show that she was fun she transformed some fake spiders and into tea spiders to crawl to the web net..... That only caused more fear and then it finally ended with Luna canceling Nightmare night forever and then her and Tempest leaving.

Me and Twilight had split up to find them and hopefully try to cheer her up. I have spent an hour and half looking for them and I was fixing to give up until I saw Luna and Tempest at the bridge. "Hey!" I called out to them so that they know that I was here. "The princess is not in the speaking mood!" Tempest said blocking me. "It's fine.... Thou can speak." Luna said as Tempest moves and I walked towards Luna.

"You ok?" I asked her as she sighs. "We don't know.... We thought once we were free from Nightmare moon we would finally be loved by the ponies and instead of being outshined by thy sister, but now we are feared and we don't get on how much has changed since thou has returned." She told me. "I guess being away for a thousand years can be hard." I said. "We've spent thou's return in the castle trying to see how much the times have changed. We have only gotten Tempest to be captain a month ago, so that's how much thy have spent trying to get all info on the future."

"I can imagine.... All your friends from the past no longer around.... But at least you got Celestia with you." I said. "We never really had friends other then thy sister, because we spent most of our lives in the castle. Celestia never spent her entire life in the castle and let thou tell you, thou is a lot older then thou thinks..... being up on the moon was the loneliest time we have ever been. Not a day goes by thy doesn't wish that we had turn into Nightmare Moon.... But now Thy is back and ponies are afraid and there is a imposter in the Everfree claiming to be Nightmare moon. Thy believe it is the spirit of the Everfree posing as me just to mock thee. Thou now wishes that it would disappear and go straight to tartarus!"

Luna yelled at the last part. "......Wow..... A lot of emotions..... but..... I know how it feels to be alone..... When I was growing up, I never had a family..... I would try to make as many friends I can so I wouldn't feel alone but it just wasn't the same.... I sometimes wished to the stars to have a family that would love me like a real family..... Instead of making a bunch of..... friends that I don't feel close to....." I told her. "Does thou feel the same with Twilight and the others?" She asked me. "No.... After moving to Ponyville I decided to just make close friends and so far it's starting to feel like I have a family but..... not a day goes by that I wish to have parents...." I said as there a small silence.

".....But anyway, you shouldn't give up. We can still find a way for ponies to like you. We just need to figure something out." I said as we then heard Twilight calling for Luna and she was excited for some reason.

Time skip

Apparently Twilight had a plan and now the we were at the Nightmare moon statute waiting for the foals and other ponies to come so that Luna can purposely scare them for some reaaaaaaaaaoooooooohhhhhh...... Now I get it. I managed to figure out what Twilight's plan and it was very clear as the plan was put into motion and the young colt that Luna saved from before had told Luna about what Nightmare night was about being afraid was fun and that she was his favorite princess which made Luna happy and decided to uncancel the holiday and now everyone was having fun.

I was over by the party stand with (m/n) and we were enjoying the amount of candy that we have managed to gather over the night. "Hey (y/n)!" I heard Twilight called out she walks over to us and gives (m/n) a little pat on the head. "Hey Twi. I thought you would be playing some games." I said. "I was but I saw you two with bellies filled with candy and I thought I come over." She told me. "Yeah yeah.... At least we managed to beat our previous candy score." I said. "(M/n) wasn't with us last year. But anyway, I heard from Luna that you considered me and the others as family." She said. "I meant like family not family family." I said. "What does that supposed to mean?" She asked me in confusion. "Like parents or sibling kind of family. I consider you and the others as close best friends that are like family like." I said.

"Okay.... But still, I think it's nice and I'm sorry you didn't had a family to be with." She said. "It's fine.... I usually stayed in my room anyway." "I thought you said that you made many friends?" She said. "More like online friends." ".....What's an online friend?" "I'll explain some other time." I told her and I then add. "And besides, Im fine. Ive grown since then and I have you and the others so im fine." I told her. "Thanks." She said as she gave me a hug. "Thanks and I do still wish I could have a real family but im fine." I told her as I gave a reassuring smile.

Luna pov:

I was having fun scaring the ponies until I heard (y/n) and Twilight talking and get me thinking. "Hmmm..... A real family..... thou has an idea." I thought as I went back to scaring the little foals.

Apparently in the Pokémon manga "The Electric Tale of Pikachu" which is a loose retailing of the of the anime from the first season and apparently Ash had given Pikachu a nickname.

Sorry for the delay for this chapter. I kinda busy playing Kirby and the forgotten Land and Doki Doki literature Club Plus so that is the reason why this chapter came out a bit late but I do hope you enjoy it and remember to always hug your Wooloo's because they are adorably soft with their fluffy wool.
