The Thieves of Ponyville

No pov:

It was the middle of the night and all was quiet. Inside a house a earth pony was sleeping as something was opening the window to her room. Then five small fox like shapes jump into the room and they dash out of the bedroom and headed straight to kitchen and started to gather all the food. Once they all grabbed as much as they can they began to leave while they use their tails to sweep the paw prints in the room and they ran to the bedroom and jumped out of the window and then it closes it.

The fox's ran to where a bunch of other fox's began to meet under a street light revealing that they are a bunch of Nickit's.

The Nickit's looked at their loot which they grinned and ran to the alleyway. On the other side of Ponyville, inside another house in the dead of light until a refrigerator opens and stuff was being pulled out of the fridge loudly which a unicorn walks out in frustration of the noise.

"Ughh.... What is all that.... Hey what you doing to our food!" She yelled as by the fridge are three Purrloin's.

She then tries to stop them but that only resulted in her being covered in scratches while the Purrloin's laugh. "Lyra! What is going on here?" An annoyed earth says as she walks in to see the Lyra covered in scratches.

"What happened to you!!" She exclaims in shock. "Them!" She says as she points to the Purrloin's who were currently picking up the food from the floor. "Hey! You three are in-" But as she was fixing to yell out them. They began doing their best cute sad faces. "B-b-big..... ummmm.... You three!.... You three..... errrrr..... you.... Ohhhh!!! I can't be mad at you three! Just go!" She yells as the Purrloin's stopped their charm and began to leave. "Bob Bon!!" "I'm sorry! But they are just adorable!!" She said as the Purrloin's had left the house.

The three Purrloin's met up with other Purrloin's who had done similar jobs and they began to run to an alleyway where they stumble upon the gang of Nickit's which they all stopped and stared at each other with fierce glares. They both growled at each other waiting for one of them to make the first move until they both heard a loud howl and roar coming from two different directions which they slowly walked past each other and left the alleyway to where a certain noise was made.

The next morning

Mayors office:

"Ponies! Ponies! Please! One at a time!" Mayor mare said as she was trying to calm the angry ponies in her office. "All the food in my fridge was stolen!" A Pegasus said. "A bunch of cats just entered my home and stole my pantry!" "Are they the same cats that scratched me and charmed my marefriend?" Lyra asked her. "Maybe they were the same ones that somehow stole my food without me knowing until I looked into my fridge?" A gray mare asked.

"I don't think it was cats, because I saw a bunch of fox's running with food and covering their tracks with their tails." A stallion said as all the ponies where yelling. "Ponies! Ponies! Please! Please, one at a time! I can't help you if you keep yelling!" The mayor tried to tell them but they weren't listening until a loud screeching noise was being made behind them.

They all turn to see (y/n) who was scratching his/her hoof across as chalk board which had a crude drawing of a Purrloin. "I'll get these thieves." He/she told them as he/she starts to walk to the front. "I know these cats that you are talking about and I'm gonna need more info on these foxes." He/she said. "What makes you qualified to stop these thieves?" A pony asked him/her. "Do you know anyone else that would handle this?" (Y/n) asked him. "Errr..... noooo, not really." "Then I'll find these Pokémon and put a stop to this.... Uhhh, that is... If it's alright with you ma'am?" The Keldeo asked the mayor. "We're usually a peaceful town so we never had a need for guards, so you have my full permission to take care of this problem." She said as the Keldeo grins in happiness.

Your pov:

I was excited. I was going to investigate an actual thievery and it was official. I dreamed of this moment ever since I self proclaimed myself as Ponyville's protector..... maybe I should change the title? Ehhh, I'll do it later. But first, an investigation.

I was going through all the ponies accounts of what had happened and so far it seems that it was a bunch of Purrloin's. I've also talked to the pony about the foxes but he didn't give me much information. But that wasn't going to deter me. Currently I was surveying the crime scenes and so far I have no idea what I am supposed to look for. I looked everywhere and nothing is shown of where any of the Pokémon could be.

"Yeah.... This is gonna be harder then it looks." I said as I was inside a house looking at the crime scene of a kitchen fridge which was opened and so far it looked like it wasn't messed with. "So your sure your fridge was raided?" I asked the gray earth pony who is known as Octavia. "Yes, because I used to have eggs, milk, hay bacon, and strawberries." She told me. "Ok.... So you saw nothing?" "Not a thing." She told me. "Well then..... I suppose the only thing to do now is to do a stakeout." "............... Ummmm....." Octavia said. "Oh sorry, Forgot that I still need to move when I say that line." I said as I left the building.

Timeskip

11:47

It was night out and I was on top of the roof of a building and watching for anything unusual. To make sure nothing could see me, I was underneath a makeshift potted bush which hopefully no one would notice a misplaced bush. "Ughh... this is so boring." I said to myself as I looked around the streets. "I should've brought a small book or something to pass the time." I said as I noticed movement going through the streets in a quick movement which must be the Purrloin.

"Looks like it's go time." I said as I started to quietly and quickly jump from roof to roof following the shadows. "Let's put a stop to these thieving jobs." I said as I saw the shadows of the Purrloin's stopped at a alleyway which I ran and jumped down. "Alright! Your under appointed arrest!" I yelled as I saw that the alleyway was filled with Purrloin and Nickit's. They all looked at me and then each other until one of each Pokémon started to say something and then all heck broke loose. "Ooohhh sna-"

Time skip

The next morning

"Just hold still." Fluttershy told me as she was cleaning the woods from Purrloin scratches and Nickit bites. I was in the library where Fluttershy, Twilight, and applejack were here as well. "Owww!!!" I yelled as I felt the spray from the healing spray. "So I take it your pursuit went south." Twilight said. "You could say that." I said. "I still don't get what happened. All you told me was that two groups of thieves attacked and that it was a literal bloodbath?" Aj said. "Well the Pokémon were Purrloin and nickit. They are master thieves and they do not get along with each other." I told her.

"Yeah..... the alley is a very clear indication of that." Aj said. "Why don't they get along?" Fluttershy asked me. "I have no idea. I guessing they don't like it when they steal each other's territory." I said. "Well do you know how to stop them?" Twilight asked me. "Well, they outnumber me three to one sooo..... Of course the battle ended when I heard a loud howl and roar coming from both directions which means that the two groups are being lead by a Liepard and a thievul." I told them.

"Buuuutttt.... That doesn't answer my question?" Twilight said. "Right right right, a plan..... ummmm.... Oh! I try to talk to the leaders of these thieves and try to kick them out of town!" I exclaimed. "But wouldn't that be mean?" Fluttershy asked. "Only if these vermin weren't stealing." Aj said. "Then it's settled, I'm gonna-" before I finished my thought a rapid knocking was made at the door. "I'll get it." Twilight said as she opens it to reveal the mayor.

"What brings you here?" Twilight asked her. "Well I came here to see (y/n) and ask him/her on how's progress on the thieving problem?" She asked me. "So far I have a plan." I told her. "That's good because there are currently a big cat and fox in the middle of the streets of the east housing area." She told me. "What!?" I yelled as we all ran outside and headed to the area in question.

Time skip

We arrived to the  area and we saw ponies inside their houses looking out the window. A bunch Purrloin's and Nickit's gathered around in opposite sides as in the middle is a Liepard and a Thievul.

"So what do you is going on right now?" Aj asked me. "Well..... Since I may of started a fight last night.... I might've start either a thief war or it could a fight to declare which Pokémon shall have a certain part of town as their territory. Either way it's probably not gonna be good." I told them as we watched the scene that is going on in front of us.

The two Pokémon growled at each other as they were making noises as they were talking to each other. "Man, it's one of those days that I wish one of us could talk to Pokémon." I said. "Ditto." Twilight said. "Where?" I said in confusion as Fluttershy was now at the center with the two Pokémon trying to talk to them. "When did she get over there?!" I said in surprise. "Ah few seconds ago." Aj answered as we watched and I was fixing to go up there if there was any trouble but the two Pokémon called for their group and then they left.

We walked over to Fluttershy and I asked. "What happened?" "I told them that stealing wasn't nice and that fighting was also not very nice and I gave them an alternative." She told us. "What kind of alternative?" Twilight asked her.

Time skip

"And so today we are here to talk about our new security for day and night watch of Ponyville." Mayor Mare was saying as she was on stage at town hall where almost everyone was at. "I can't believe it." I said in annoyance. "Today the Purrloin's will be the security personal of Ponyville during the day and the Nickit's shall have the night shift. In exchange for their services we will provide them a home and food which they will never steal again." She said as the ponies cheered.

"So we're just gonna let Pokémon that natural steal become security guards....." Aj said. "Fluttershy does have a way with animals and Pokémon." Twilight said. "I still can't believe that Fluttershy is up there when I tried to solve this. I mean, I even had a plan! All she did was talk to the two heads and everything was solved." I said in annoyance. "Awww... is somepony jealous?" Twilight teasingly said. "No! .....Maybe..... yes...." I said.

"You shouldn't be mad at Fluttershy. She's just doing what she does best." "I know.... It's just.... I wanted to show everyone that I could solve a Pokémon problem and that I am not always the one that gets knocked out or something." I told her. "I'm sure they don't think that." Twilight said. "I sure hope so...." I said as we heard Fluttershy's name was called out.

"And now the mare who made this possible, Fluttershy!!!" Mayor mare yelled as Fluttershy was slowly walking to the middle of the stage and she was trying to hide behind her mane. "Ok, now I want to be up there for a different reason." I said as I watched Fluttershy trying to hide from all the ponies. "Fluttershy, we know you don't usually like being up front of on stage so I'll try to make this as brief as possible." The mayor told her.

"O-o-ok...." Fluttershy faintly said. "In honor of you giving us a new security personal of Ponyville and for calming the rampaging dragon two weeks ago I am proud to say that we here at Ponyville's town hall. That we are officially making Fluttershy the head of Pokémon affairs and if anything Pokémon related. We shall turn to you to help." She said as all the ponies cheered as I then yelled out. "Nooooo!!!!" In sadness of the fact that Fluttershy officially given a job to handle Pokémon problems when I was the expert.

Let's talk about the Terastal phenomenon gimmick that's appearing in Scarlet and violet. What this can do is boost the power to the moves that the Tera type crystal(Jewel) is. It can also change a Pokémon's typing which this is a interesting battle style. There's not a lot else about them but one thing is that when the phenomenon affects the Pokémon it changes them to look like a crystal with an hat. It's kinda silly that they get a hat when the Terastallize. After seeing gigantamax one would expect they would try to make them look cool but all that happens is that they get a shiny and have a hat based on the Tera crystal typing. It would've been cool if instead of a boring hat, they're bodies have crystals in their body or something. Kinda like this meme. Of course I'm not saying all of them should, just certain ones can have cool forms and the rest would just look like a living crystal and no silly hat.
