Boast Busters

Your POV:

I was in the library with Twilight and Spike where Twilight was practicing magic and I was reading to past the time. "What do you think of my mustache?" I heard Spike asked me which I was a bit confused until I saw him with one. "Uhhh...." I said unsure of what to say. "Your speechless! I bet Rarity is gonna be the same thing when she see me."

He said with a smile. "Speechless yes... but not in the way you think." I thought as Twilight erased the Mustache with her magic. "Aw, rats!" He said as me and Twilight laughed.

Time skip

"Twenty-five, Twilight. Twenty-five different kinds of tricks and counting. I thought unicorns were only supposed to have a little magic that matches their special talents!" Spike said. "True, for ponies whose talents are for things like cooking or singing or math. But what if a unicorn's special talent is magic?" Twilight told him. "So your saying that you could do all magic.... Can you summon a creature?"

I asked her as she giggled. "I can do magic based from what Is possible, not what is impossible." She told me. "Awww..." "But you know a whole lot of magic." Spike said. "Oh, Spike, stop. I'm sure there are lots of ponies right here in Ponyville that know just as much magic as me." Twilight said. "Yeah, there's plenty of stuff that Twilight can't do." I said "Are you two kiddin'? I don't think there's another unicorn in all of Equestria with your kind of ability, Twilight." Spike told us as suddenly all three of us were bumped out of the way by two colts.

"Owww.... (Y/n)? Spike? Are you two ok?" Twilight asked us. "I'm fine." "Me two." We said as we saw the two colts run off. "I wonder what got them excited?" I asked. "Let's go see." Twilight said as we followed them. After a while we see a stage at the town center and a crowd of ponies where there along with some of our friends.

"I think I can see what's going on." I said we then heard a voice coming from the stage. "Come one, come all! Come and witness the amazing magic of the Great and Powerful Trixie!" A unicorn mare comes out with a cape and a wizard hat.

"Oh, I see. She's a street performer." I said "what's a Street performer?" Spike asks. "It's a pony who performs in the street instead of a theatre." Twilight explained. "Yeah, they can range from magicians, musicians, dancers, Statues, and etc." I told him. "Wait? Statues?" "Yeah, it's when someone covers themselves in paint and stays still like a statue."

"Watch in awe as the Great and Powerful Trixie performs the most spectacular feats of magic ever witnessed by pony eyes!" The mare said as fireworks appeared and other fanfare things. "My, my, my! What boasting!" Rarity said. "I mean, the great and powerful part and the fanfare would leave that impression." I said as Spike then says "Come on, nopony's as magical as Twi— Twi— Twi— Oh!" He then notices Rarity and was trying to act causal but it ended with him saying mustache.

"There's nothing wrong with being talented, is there?" Twilight asks. "Nothin' at all, 'cep'n when someone goes around showin' it off like a school filly with fancy new ribbons." Applejack said. "Just because one has the ability to perform lots of magic does not make one better than the rest of us." Rarity said. "Especially when ya got me around being better than the rest of us. Heh... Uh, I mean, yeah, uh, magic shmagic. Boo!" Rainbow said.

"Come on girls, it's just a street performance. It's not like she's challenging anypony?" I said "Well, well, well, it seems we have some neighsayers in the audience. Who is so ignorant as to challenge the magical ability of the Great and Powerful Trixie? Do they not know that they're in the presence of the most magical unicorn in all of Equestria?" I heard Trixie say as I sighed as Rairty blew a raspberry.

"Just who does she think she is?" "Yeah! Since we all know that Twilight here is—" I pressed my hoof on Spike's face to stop him from talking. "We don't need to sink to her level." I told him. "He's/she's right Spike." Twilight agreed. "What!? He asked in shock. "We can't sink to her level and besides, you see how he other ponies feel about her. I don't want them to think that I am a show off." She said.

"Your not a show off twilight, and challenging her will not do anything about her. That's only gonna fuel the boast." I said as Rainbow then says. "So, "Great and Powerful Trixie". What makes you think you're so awesome, anyway?" "Oh boy." I said as Trixie answers her. "Heh, why, only the Great and Powerful Trixie has magic strong enough to vanquish the dreaded ursa major!"

Fireworks appear and she uses a spell to showcase her defeating a ursa which the audience adored. "An Ursa Major? Isn't that just a constellation?" I asked in confusion. "Really? Then that means our constellations are different." She said with a smile that says she wants to know. "When all hope was lost, the ponies of Hoofington had no one to turn to, but the Great and Powerful Trixie stepped in, and with her awesome magic, vanquished the ursa major and sent it back to its cave deep within the Everfree Forest!" Trixie said as the two colts were praising her.

"How do you know? You didn't see it! And besides, Twi—" Spike tried to say but Twilight used magic to literally zip his lips which I didn't think was possible. "Hahahahhaha! It's true, my enthusiastic little admirers. Trixie is most certainly the best in Ponyville." She said as everyone was quiet and I could've sworn that I was actually hearing crickets chirping.

"Don't believe the Great and Powerful Trixie?" She said with a laugh and adds. "Well then, I hereby challenge you, Ponyvillians. Anything you can do, I can do better. Any takers? Anyone? Hmm? Or is Trixie destined to be the greatest equine who has ever lived?!" She said as more fireworks and fanfare was made. Spike managed to unzip his lips and got onto his knees and begs. "Please! She's unbearable! Ya gotta show her! Ya just gotta!" "No, that's only sinking to her level and we won't be any better then her." I told him as Twilight agreed.

"Hmm, how about you?" Trixie said as she was pointing to me. "Huh, me. Oh nononono. No thank you. I'm good." I told her. "It appears that someone is afraid to challenge me." She said. "Afraid!? Wait! She's just trying to get to you." I thought as I did nothing, but unfortunately, somepony don't know when to not do anything. "That's it! I can't stand for no more of this!" Applejack said. "AJ Don't!" I tried to tell her. "You show her, AJ!" Spike cheered.

"Can your magical powers do this?" She challenged as she starts doing some cool lasso tricks and again I could've sworn I was hearing things.... Because right now I was hearing banjo music. "Top that, missy." "Oh ye of little talent. Watch and be amazed at the magic of Trixie!" She said as she makes the rope act like a snake and ties up her legs and put an apple in her mouth. She bounces off the stage as the crowd was cheering and laughing.

"I go help her out of those ropes." I said as I went over to her and I help with untieing her and removing the apple from her. "Thank you kindly." She said as I then hear Rainbow saying. "There's no need to go struttin' around and showin' off like that. That's my job!" I then proceeded to hoofpalm from her statement. I then turn to see her doing tons of tricks in the air which the audience were cheering.

"They don't call me "Rainbow" and "Dash" for nothin'!" She said as I could only sigh as Trixie then used magic to make rainbow all dizzy. "Seems like anypony with a dash of good sense would think twice before tussling with the Great Trixie." She said as she made a small cloud to throw a lightning bolt at dash's back. "Ow!" "Ooooo." I said as I could tell that it had to hurt. "Are you-" "What we need is another unicorn to challenge her. Someone with some magic of her own." I heard Spike say as I groaned that we should not be challenging Trixie.

"No! What we need to do is to-" "Enough. Enough, all of you. I take your hint, but Rarity is above such nonsense. Rainbow Dash and Applejack may behave like ruffians, but Rarity conducts herself with beauty and grace." She said as she got onto stage. "Ooo, what's the matter? Afraid you'll get a hair out of place in that rat's nest you call a mane?" Trixie said which would mean that there won't be any talking of getting Rarity to stop before she do anything. "Oh, it. Is. On! You may think you're tough with all of your so-called powers, but there's more to magic than your brutish ways. A unicorn needs to be more than just muscle. A unicorn needs to have style."

She said as she was using magic to make herself look divine and beautiful but then Trixie used her magic to make her hair..."Quick! I need a mirror! Get me a mirror! What did she do to my hair? I know she did something terrible to my hair!" Rarity asks in panic. "Nothing." "It's fine." "It's gorgeous." "It's beautiful." "It's green." Spike said as we all glared at him. "What?" "Ugh, no. Green hair! Not green hair!" She starts crying and begins to run away.

"Well Twilight, guess it's up to you. Come on, show her what you're made of." Spike said. "No, even if she is a pain, we can not stoop to her level." "Didn't you want to punch Gilda? Why should this be any different?" Spike asked me. "Because she was a thief and bully who roared at Fluttershy with no provocation. Right now Trixie is Just showing off and only doing the things because they challenged her. If she did it without them challenging her then I would do something." I told him.

"I still feel like you should do something." He muttered but I ignored him. "What about you! Do you have something to show us all?" Trixie asks while pointing at Twilight. "Who, me? I'm just your run-of-the-mill citizen of Ponyville. No powerful magic here. I, uh... I think I hear my laundry calling. Sorry, gotta go." She said as she dashed out of here. "Aaannnd I have to help her with her.... Laundry...." I said as I dashed after her.

Time skip

I had followed Twilight to the library and I saw reached for a book and went upstairs which I followed her to the bedroom. "Hey.... Are you ok?" I asked her as she sighed. "Yes.... Do you really think I should've done something?" She asked me. "No, trying to do something wouldn't work. It would only make you look like a show off who is trying to prove that your better then her." I told her. "Would you do something?" "No, even if it was hard to watch her do those awful things to our friends. It wouldn't have mattered. Look, I know it's hard but, there's gonna be a lot of other ponies who would act just like Trixie. Trust me, my world is filled with people like that.... The best thing to do was to ignore them or else you might get caught in their ego.... Or something.... I don't really know if that's right, but I think you did the right thing to ignore her. Besides, based on that wagon I'm sure she'll be out of here in no time and we don't have to see her again." I told her as she was still reading.

I sighed as I would only wondered if it was the right thing to tell or should I have done something else. Only time will tell. I decided to grab a book and let her think or read whatever she's doing right now and hope that this whole thing will just blow over. After a while Spike came in was trying to get Twilight to show up Trixie but Twilight didn't want to and for some reason during their arguing Twilight created a door out of thin air just to close the door on him which was kinda funny and after he while he leaves by closing the same door which was also funny.

"Sorry you had to listen to us arguing." Twilight said to me. "It's fine, and give Spike some time. Hopefully he'll understand that doing nothing is the same as doing something. Or at least I think that's what's right?" I said in confusion. "I think I get what you are trying to say and I appreciate it. But hopefully this will all blow over." She said as she goes back to her book.

Time skip

After a while Spike comes back in full panic mode. "Twilight! (Y/n)! You've gotta come! Quick!" He yelled. "I already told you, Spike, I don't wanna show up Trixie!" "And I'm not gonna do anything without a good reason." We told him as we then heard a roar coming from outside. "Please tell me that wasn't a kaiju?" I asked hopefully. "Depends on what that means." He said as we heard loud rumbling coming from outside. "Let's go!" Twilight Said as we took off to see what was making that noise.

We were running outside when we saw Trixie and the two colts from before running away in terror. "What's going on?" Twilight asks. "We brought an ursa to town." I one of the colts said. "You what?!" Me and Twilight yelled in surprise. "Don't worry, the Great and Powerful Trixie will vanquish it." The other colt said. "I can't." Trixie told them in despair. "What?!" They yelled in surprise. "Oh, I can't, I never have. No one can vanquish an ursa major. I just made the whole story up to make me look better." She told them.

"Please tell me you didn't give them the idea to find one?!" I asked in worry that she did that. "Of course not!? Trixie's not crazy to do that!?" She said as I heard Spike chuckled nervously which means that he gave them some sort of idea to find one. "Alright.... Let's take the ursa down." I said as we saw the ursa coming this way. "No! I have another idea." She said as she activates her magic and I heard music coming from the distance.

So far the music is working because the ursa stopped its aggression and is being lullabied to sleep and I saw Twilight picking the water tower and dump the water out and got milk from the farm and gave it to the ursa as she lifts it up and sends it to who knows where I could only stand there disbelief of what I just saw her do.

"Woah...." I said in awe as all the ponies came out to see that the ursa is gone and they all cheered. "Unbelievable!" "That was amazing!" "Heavens to Betsy! We knew you had ability, but not that much!" Spike, Rainbow, and AJ said as Twilight was down on the ground in panic. "I'm sorry. Please, please don't hate me." "Hate you?" The three mares asked in confusion. "She thinks all of y'all wouldn't like her because of her magic." I told them.

"Magic's got nothing to do with it. Trixie's just a loudmouth." Rainbow said. "Most unpleasant." "All hat and no cattle." ".....What?" I said in confusion on what Applejack said. "So, you don't mind my magic tricks?" Twilight asks. "Your magic is a part of who you are, sugarcube, and we like who you are. We're proud to have such a powerful, talented unicorn as our friend." AJ told her. "And after whuppin' that ursa's hindquarters, we're even prouder." Rainbow added which I do have to admit that it was impressive.

They all said as they hugged. "So.... I have to ask. How did you know what to do with the ursa?" I asked her as Spike also wanted to know. "I was intrigued on what Trixie said about them that I went to look them up." She told us. "Good thing, because I wasn't expecting an Ursa Major to come here." I said. "Actually, that was an Ursa Minor." Twilight said as I was processing the info that I was given. "....Are you saying.... That Ursa.... That was attacking the town.... Was only.... A BABY!?!!" I yelled.

"Yep and it was cranky because someponies decided to wake it up." She said disapprovingly at the two colts. "....That thing was a baby?" I said again. "Yep!" ".....Is it to late to move the town?" I asked "No." she said as Trixie then says. "You may have vanquished an ursa minor, but you will never have the amazing, show-stopping ability of the Great and Powerful Trixie!" She then throws a smoke bomb and was gone.

"Where she goooo-Oh there she is." I said as I saw her running away in the road path. "Why, that little..." "Just let her go. Maybe someday she'll learn her lesson." Twilight told Rainbow. "Yeah, although.... How come she didn't take herrrr.... Ooohhh..." I said as I saw a wagon destroyed that matched Trixie's stage. "Do you think she would want her stuff back if she ever comes back?" I asked. "Don't worry, I'm sure she will.

Time skip

"You think this is all the stuff that was in the wagon?" I asked Twilight as she was inspecting the debris that Snips and Snails brought over since it was part of their punishment for bringing the minor to town. "I believe so. I think it's a nice way to show her if she ever comes back that we could be friends." Twilight said.

"Yeah, I just hope that we didn't bring this thing for nothing of she does come back." I said. "Even if she doesn't learn her lesson when she comes back. I'm gonna try to teach her the way of friendship." She said with a smile. "Well, that's good and all but you should probably learn more about friendship before you can do any of that first." I told her as I then feel something between my nose. "What the?" I said as I moved my hoof to feel a piece of hair between my nose I saw Twilight trying not to laugh out loud. "You put a mustache on me didn't you...." I said as she bursts out laughing.

Looks like Trixie is an excellent gamer.

I have watched Star Wars visions and I must say that episodes: The Twins, The Dual, the Ninth Jedi, the Village Bride, and Lop and Ochō are episodes that I recommend watching.

Spoilers for Mlp: a New Generation so if you haven't seen it yet then don't read further below.

After watching a new generation I can say that I very much enjoyed it. I liked how the opening had the voices of the G4 cast for one last time. I liked the nods and references in the movie, the terminator certainly made me laugh a bit. I liked how it ended how it wasn't about putting the crystals back together, it was about getting all the three ponies back together making that Friendship is what makes the magic happen.
