"Come on" she said as she stood inside the house waiting for me to follow which wasn't going to happen.

" No, I'll wait out here" I crossed my arms angrily as I sat down on the steps that lead up to her porch.

"Quit acting like a brat" Avery said as she walked out to where I was sitting, grabbing my hand in attempt to make me get up.

"Maybe I'll come inside if you tell me what's been bothering you for the past week" I stared out into the distance looking at the stars that were in the dark sky.

" It doesn't matter" Avery said as she ran a hand through her hair, still standing there waiting for me to get up.

"Well it does to me, you don't just have a great day with one of your favorite people just for them to ignore you for the new week" I groaned angrily just as I saw Scarlett's car pull up in the distance.

" I'll leave you alone, don't talk to me anymore" I said as I stood up and brushed past her making my way to Scarlett's car.

After I got ready for the day I grabbed my backpack off the floor near my vanity, I walked into the kitchen taking a slice of toast off the plate.

"thanks scar" I smiled before I grabbed my keys making my way out the door, school didn't start for another 45 minutes but I wanted to go early so I could get some work done.

Once I got onto campus I headed straight for the library—-pushing open the heavy brown door.

My eyes instantly connected with familiar ones as I went to sit across from them.

" Sorry I'm late, I slept over my alarm" I said as I sat my bag down sitting my laptop on the table.

" it's okay I got here a few minutes ago too" Nick said as he looked up from his study book.

" So what happened to you last night" I questioned with a smirk on my face, getting started on my work as well.

"Okay, I saw someone at the club obviously and they go here" Nick explained excitedly as he set his pencil down completely getting sidetracked.

"I have a few books I needed to return" a familiar voice said making me turn around to look at them.

As the librarian checked her books back in Avery turned her head slightly—- her eyes skimming across the room before her gaze met mine.

I rolled my eyes before turning my attention back towards my chemistry paper— the work wasn't going to do itself.

I could still feel her heavy gaze on me for a few moments before I heard her heels clicking on the floor then the heavy library door shutting.

Time flew by pretty quickly, I ended up completing two chemistry worksheets before it was time to head to first period.

I walked towards my usual spot towards the middle of the room.

Once I sat down the bell rang—- the lesson began not too long after , Ms Dakota's sharp voice cutting through the whispering.

" To start off the morning I have to go over the Dance that is next week—- everyone can come no matter if you have a costume or not" She said as she passed out a slip informing us of the Halloween dance.

As she passed my desk handing me a paper her gaze caught mine—- something quickly flashed through them before she continued down the row.

"I don't care if you loose the slip I'm not giving you another one so don't ask"she added firmly before she made her way back to her desk.

After she finished going over the dance, we got back to our lesson and reading over the book.

The class flew by like always but as I went to make my way out the class I heard my name being called out.

"Arabella a word please" Avery said making me roll my eyes. I held my book bag on my shoulder as I waited for my classmates to walk out.

As the last kid went out I slowly made my way up to her desk— I had Only took 2 steps when she had stopped me.

"Shut the door first" she said not looking up at me still—- I rolled my eyes and shut the door with a sigh.

" what " I asked after I shut the door —-turning to face her, my arms crossed.

" watch your tone" Avery said with a teasing smirk on her face. " or what" I replied angrily getting sick of her stopping me to talk— just to not say anything.

"Don't test me Tesoro" she said as her sharp gaze finally connected with mine.

I scoffed angrily before turning around and leaving the classroom—- I could hear her calling my name but I could care less.
