I sat in my bed—- I could hear the cartoons faintly coming from the tv in my living room.

I was reading a book when I received a notification on my phone.

Avery❣️: I have a last minute meeting at school today with the principal, can you watch Calista for me?

Arabella❤️: sure, my sister is here btw.

Avery❣️: I'll tell Calista to be on her best behavior, I'll be over there in 15.

Arabella❤️: Kay, drive safe.

I sat up in bed deciding it was time for me to finally get up.

I walked into my bathroom, pulling my hair into

a bun and then I brushed my teeth.

I walked out of my room and Peyton was sitting on the couch watch SpongeBob, wrapped up in her blanket.

"What do you want for breakfast" I questioned as I walked into the kitchen opening the fridge.

" not hungry" she mumbled as she rubbed her eyes.

Have I mentioned she's is absolutely annoying when she first wakes up.

" a friend is coming over so be on your best behavior" I scolded my sister making her look over the couch at me.

"Is it your girlfriend" she asked as she got up, her feet padding against the wood as she made her way to the kitchen.

"That is none of your business" I slid a cup of orange juice towards her which she thankfully accepted.

Not even a few minutes later there was a loud knock on the door.

" I'll get it" I said as Peyton was standing up from her spot.

"No I'll get it" she said as she ran towards the front door. " you little shithead" I mumbled as I walked up to the door behind her.

"Who are you" Calista asked, making her mom instantly scold her. " Calista what did we talk about in the car" Avery said as she bent down to Calistas level.

"Mantieni il tuo miglior comportamento, Calista, O sarai nei guai" Avery said lowly as Calista nodded. (be on your best behavior Calista or you'll be in trouble).

"Sorry about her" Avery said as she stood up wiping her pants off, that made me actually stop and look to see what she was wearing.

And God did she look good.

She had on a grey suit and black heels and her hair was pulled back into a bun a few strands of hair framing her face.

When I looked back up at her, her eyes instantly connected with Mines—- a smirk forming on her lips.

"I'm Peyton what's your name" Peyton smiled as she looked at Calista. " My name is Calista" She replied back excitedly.

"Come on let's go play" Peyton said before pulling Calista towards the toys that were setting in the living room.

" who are you dressing up for" I asked with a smirk as I turned my attention back towards Avery.

"Myself" she replied, the same smirk on her face. I turned my head to see where the girls were and I think they went into my room because they aren't on the couch anymore.

"Hm" I hummed before I grabbed her waist pulling her towards me as our lips connected.

" I won't be long it should only be a couple hours, I think the principal is quitting" she said making my eyebrow raise.

"Okay well drive say" I mumbled before I connected our lips again. " your gonna make me not want to go" she groaned as she pulled away making me smile a little.

"Okay fine, we will see you later " I said before she walked back outside, and I shut the door.

I don't know how or when it happened but now I'm sitting on a bench at a nearby park.

I sighed as I pulled my north face puffer coat higher on my body—— it was chilly but the girls insisted to play at the park.

And they were getting along, so why would I say no?

"What the hell are you doing" Scarlett asked making me jump. " Scarlett you scared the fuck out of me" I said as I held my chest.

"Sorry, I was at break taking a walk when I seen my sexy bestfriend" she joked as she sat next to me, a coffee cup in her hands.

" is that Calista?" Scarlett asked as the girls ran around. " yes, Avery had a meeting" I said as I turned to face her.

"Aww, that's cute Arabella on parent duty" Scarlett said with a smirk on her face, earning an eye roll from me.

"What time do you get off today" I questioned making her look at her watch. "In about a hour I think, I should be heading back I'll come to your apartment later" she said as she stood up getting ready to leave.

"Come on girls we should start heading back" I called out to them as they went on the slide for the last time.

They skipped down the sidewalk holding hands as we made our way back to my apartment building.

I've never been more happy to walk into my apartment and feel the heat.

The girls both sat down at the island and I gave them some brownies as a snack and I sat on the couch.

I got a text not to long ago of Avery informing me she was on her way back and my mom should be here to pick Peyton up soon.
