"What made you become a professor" I questioned as Avery played with my hair, I was laying on her chest.

It was dark in the room and we should be sleeping by now.

" I don't know, I guess it was something I've wanted to do since I was a kid" she shrugged.

"What made you want to study to be a lawyer" she asked making me look up at her.

" I like to argue duh" I replied making her chuckle. " of course" she said as she rolled her eyes at my response.

" I'm happy you chose to be a professor, you know maybe we wouldn't have met if you didn't" I said as I played with my nails, her hands covered mine stopping me from picking at them.

"Me too" she mumbled before she quickly connected our lips, once she pulled away I yawned my sleepiness evident.

"Go to sleep pretty girl" she said as she massaged my scalp, about 5 minutes later my vision went dark—-my sleep taking over.

I groaned softly as I turned over, the sun glaring through the blinds making my arms cover my eyes.

I reached around the bed before I realized Avery wasn't there, she must've went downstairs.

I got up, walking into her connected bathroom I had a spare toothbrush here so I brushed my teeth and wash my face before I headed downstairs.

I could hear the faint sound of cartoons coming from the living room, I headed to the kitchen and I saw Avery standing by the oven.

I stood in the doorway just admiring her for a while, she was truly a sight.

She must've felt me staring because she turned to look at me, a smirk raising on her lips as she realized I was staring.

"Morning" I mumbled as I walked towards where she was standing. " Good morning" she smiled as she connected our lips.

I sat down at the island watching as she cooked some eggs and put some toast in the toaster.

"Your favorite" Avery smiled as she put some scrambled eggs on a plate, followed by a piece of toast and then she started cutting an avocado for my toast.

"Thank you" I smiled as I slid into a sit that was behind the island, Avery went to say  something when we heard someone running towards the kitchen.

"What are we doing today mommy" Calista asked as she pulled herself on the chair next to mines as her mother slid a plate of eggs and bacon towards her.

"Nothing, we don't always have to go somewhere"Avery replied making Calista frown.

"Can we go to the park maybe" Calista asked as she stuffed her mouth with food.

"Slow down before you choke and we will see" Avery said as she made a disgusted face.

"Can we pleaseee go to the park Abella" Calista begged as she turned to face me giving me her adorable pout.

"I-maybe we will see" I mumbled as I looked down at my plate not daring to look at Avery at the moment.

Once we all finished eating Calista went to go play on her iPad and Avery went up to her room to play us a movie.

"Baby we can at least go for an hour" I offered softly as I walked into her room she was laying back in her bed as she searched for a movie to watch.

"Absolutely not, I want to stay in and rest and cuddle" she mumbled as she wrapped her arms around my waist and pulling me towards her.

Her lips leaving a small trail of kisses down my neck before she came back up to peck my lips.

"Never took you for a softie" I smirked making her groan as she sat up. " I am not" she huffed angrily making me hum.

She rolled her eyes in annoyance as she stood up walking into her closet. " what are you doing" I questioned. " getting dressed, I guess we can go to the park for a while" she replied making me smile before I ran out the room to tell Calista the good news.

" thank you Abella" Calista smiled as I put a bow in her hair, I put it in a slick back for her. " your welcome go get your shoes on" I replied before the energetic girl ran out the room.

I walked towards Avery's room, my boots were loud against the wood floors.

"Are you ready" I questioned as I walked into the room—- she was standing by her mirror applying some lipgloss.

"Yes let's go" she said as she grabbed her phone off the bed and grabbing my hand before we headed downstairs.

" come on Calista" Avery called out making the little girl run towards us.

The park wasn't that far from Avery's house so we decided it would be nice to walk, Avery even brought ivalo along.
