Chapter 113
Sweet Submission: Reclaiming Her Love
< Sweet Submission: Reclaiming Her Love Chapter 113 Their Scheme âThereâs no need for you to get upset, sweetheart. You shouldnât be wearing a scowl on your face knowing that tomorrow is your big day,â Jeremy said with a smile on his face as he gently stroked Amandaâs back.
Pouting, Amanda asked nervously, âBut what if Elliot changes his mind and calls off the wedding tomorrow?
What will I do? What am I supposed to say?â
âThese are questions that you donât need to worry about, Amanda. Once Elliot arrives, he wonât be able to leave until both of you are married,â Jeremy said firmly.
Understanding the hidden meaning behind Jeremyâs words, Amanda nodded and finally smiled softly.
âIn that case, I better have someone deliver the custom suit to Elliot,â she said. With that, she closed the box, summoned one of the maids, and said, âGet this to Lark Villa and ensure that you deliver it directly to Elliot. Do you understand?â
The maid nodded and replied courtly, âYes, maâam.â
âThatâs exactly the spirit I want to see in you. Tomorrow, youâll become the most beautiful bride to have ever walked the surface of the earth. Daddy will stop at nothing to give you a wedding that will be talked about for centuries to come!â Jeremy said with a bright smile on his face.
Amanda smiled back and began to look forward to what was bound to be the best day of her life.
Meanwhile, at Andrews Mansion...
Looking quite relieved after finishing a phone call, Owen turned to face Evan and said, âEvan, everything has been clarified with your grandfather.â
Hearing this, Evan nodded slightly and smiled.
At the same time, Conner was pacing back and forth in his room, picking up his phone and putting it back down several times.
One glance at him, and it was clear to see that he was quite disturbed.
Unable to stand it anymore, he stormed out and confronted Gavin, âDad, the relationship between you and Elliot is already on shaky ground due to what happened last time! Shouldnât you be afraid that heâll take you as an enemy this time?â
Why Gavin, who had always been an adherent supporter of Elliot, was now siding with Owen and Owenâs illegitimate son was nothing short of baffling to Conner.
He didnât admire or like Evan in the slightest.
One look at Evan, and one would know that he was an individual who couldnât be trusted. His support for the upcoming marriage between Amanda and Elliot couldnât be genuine since he knew very well that the marriage would only solidify Elliotâs position.
Surely, there was some sort of conspiracy underneath all of this.

Chapter 113 Their Scheme âConner, you ought to be well aware that Elliotâs marriage to Amanda would significantly boost his career. You canât surely expect me not to allow this marriage to happen? It would be a huge loss if it doesnât work out,â Gavin replied after a bout of cough.
âDad, but Iâm very sure that you are aware that Owen and his illegitimate son are anything but kind or trustworthy. Most likely, they would use this to seize control of our family!â Conner pointed out anxiously.
With a shrug, Gavin replied calmly, âI place my trust in Elliot. If he gets easily outmaneuvered by Owen, then he isnât worthy of holding the mantle as the head of the family.â
Hearing this, Conner remembered that the Andrews family wasnât for those with weak hearts and without the capability to think fast. The survival rules of the family were nothing short of brutal and harsh.
True to the law of survival of the fittest, only the most capable one comes out on top.
Though Gavin was quite relaxed and easygoing, he was very firm in his decisions.
Swallowing hard, a chill ran down Connerâs spine and he muttered, âDad...â
âBe on your best behavior during this time and ensure that you have no contact with Elliot. He is the most capable grandson that I have, and I trust him to manage just fine,â Gavin said firmly.
So much was Gavinâs trust in Elliot, that he had always believed that his grandson would be the one to lead the Andrews family to greatness.
With that, Connerâs phone and computer were confiscated, after which he was confined to his room with guards at the door to prevent him from escaping.
If only he had been able to figure out what Gavinâs plan was, then he would have contacted Elliot and informed him.
He now had no option but to sit, wait, and hope for whatever scheme had been arranged against Elliot to fail. Just as Elliot was about to leave, he met a woman at the door with a box in her hand.
Smiling courtly, she extended the box to him and said, âMr. Andrews, Miss Willis instructed me to deliver this to you.â
Without even sparing the box a glance, Elliot said, âTake it inside.â
As he moved to leave, the woman quickly added, âMr. Andrews, Miss Willisâ birthday celebration shall kick off at ten oâclock prompt. It will be highly appreciated if you can be there on time.â
Hearing this, Elliot raised an eyebrow and asked coldly, âAre you dictating to me what I am to do?â
âWhat? No! I wouldnât dare! I just... I meant... This is just a misunderstanding!â the woman quickly explained nervously.
With a scoff, Elliot went without saying anything else.
