Chapter 41
Sweet Submission: Reclaiming Her Love
Chapter 41 Beating The Scumbag Just then, Sofiaâs phone pinged; it was a text from Chase. Reading the guyâs reply, Corynn could easily imagine the smug expression on Chaseâs stupid face.
She was the one who had decided on the time and placeânine oâclock in the evening at an abandoned warehouse in the suburbs.
Chase had agreed to her invitation without hesitation, likely because he believed that Sofia was too weak to pose any threat.
And as expected, his overconfidence played right into Corynnâs hands.
That afternoon, Corynn prepared the things sheâd need for tonightâs meeting: a sack and two bats. She even wrapped each bat in a thick towel so as to avoid leaving any marks when they beat Chase with it.
At nine oâclock sharp, Corynn and Sofia showed up at the warehouse to wait for Chase.
Chase arrived a full halfâhour later, his oily black hair tied back in a tuft and a cigarette dangling from his mouth, looking every bit the delinquent.
Seeing Sofia, he took the cigarette out of his mouth and grinned, asking, âSofia, have you finally come to terms with it?â
Chase was kind of handsome, which was likely why Sofia had fallen for him in the first place.
âWhy are you so mad? Every man cheats. Besides, I already told you that youâre the one I truly love,â he added loftily.
Sofia stood glued to her spot, trembling with rage.
She had never encountered someone so brazenly shameless before.
âOof, Sofia, that busted lip looks like it still hurts.â Chase feigned wincing upon seeing Sofiaâs bruises. âWell, you brought this on yourself when you asked for a breakup. How dare you embarrass me? You deserved a good beating.â
Corynn, who was hiding in the shadows, could hardly bear to listen to Chaseâs bullshit. This scumbag went beyond her imagination!
Without making a sound, she gave Sofia the signal and then quietly crept up behind Chase, ready to throw the sack over his head.
Chase, busy berating Sofia, failed to notice Corynnâs approach. He had assumed Sofia had called him out here to reconcile, so he was intent on gasâlighting her into submission.

âCrack!â Something connected with the back of his skull, sending his head spinning Coryn gestured to Sofia to join in Together, the two girls started whacking Chase to a pulp, his pained screams muffled thanks to the sack over âChaset Youâre a fucking assholet Rot in hell, douchebag! Sofia cursed the living daylights out of him as she swung the bat at Chaseâs writhing body Love?
How dare this scumbag talk about love?! He sullied the word!
âSofial jesus Christ! I love you, okay? I really love Ahh!!â Chase hadnât expected Sofia to actually attack him, let alone with such ferocity, âLoveâ? Fuck you, asshole! Say that fucking word once more and Iâll beat you to death!â Sofia screamed like a madwoman.
Corynn quietly stepped back, only jumping in whenever it looked like Chase might escape the sack. Otherwise, she let Sofia do most of the beatings herself.
It was clear that Sofia needed to vent all her pentâup fury, no holds barred.
Seeing this was a relief to Corynn, because she was initially a little worried that Chaseâs sweet words would taint Sofiaâs judgment.
Seeing that sweet talking Sofia didnât work, Chase let out a string of expletives, which only served to piss Sofia off even more, and she beat him even more ferociously.
Seeing that neither approach was effective, he could only resort to begging for mercy. But it was way too late to quell the flames of Sofiaâs anger.
As Chase gradually stopped struggling, Corynn pulled Sofia back, worried that continued beating might result in serious injury.
Sofia, still feeling unsatisfied, delivered a final kick to Chaseâs knee.
They had studied beforehand where to hit to cause the most pain without leaving lasting marks.
Before leaving, Sofia looked at Chase, who was sprawled on the floor, from over her shoulder. âChase, if you ever show your face in front of me again, Iâll beat you to death.â
A few seconds after their footsteps receded, Chase pulled the sack off his head, glaring in the direction they had left, still grimacing from the pain.
What a fucking bitch!
How dare Sofia team up with someone else to ambush him!
He swore he wouldnât let that bitch get away with this.

âHi, this is Chase Arnold. I need to report a crime.â
Sofia clutched her chest, her heart still pounding from the adrenaline.
Beating Chase to a pulp had felt so incredibly satisfying.
She felt like she was on top of the world!
âCorynn, thank you, thank you, thank you!â Sofia gushed, her eyes sparkling with admiration for Corynn.
Chuckling, Corynn patted her on the head and said, âLetâs get you home.â
âWhat if he reports us to the police?â Sofia âly asked, her brows creasing with worry.
âDonât worry,â Corynn reassured her. â a have plan.â
When Sofiaâs medical report came out, she had contacted a lawyer to file a case. If Chase reported them, he would only end up incriminating himself.
