But then he wondered under what circumstances something like that would happen, and he had a nagging sense that something was terribly wrong.

Considering the possibility of an emergency, he couldn’t sit still. Finally, he abruptly ended the meeting and instructed Kaden to track down Corynn’s whereabouts.

Coincidentally, there had recently been a traffic accident near the airport, which made Elliot wonder if that had anything to do with Corynn.

When he arrived at the scene, he saw a search team entering the mountains and the mangled up car, which filled him with unending dread.
