Chapter 51
Sweet Submission: Reclaiming Her Love
Chapter 51 What Elliot Coveted Hearing the commotion at the door, Erick stepped out to find out what was going on. Seeing Jason, his expression softened, but the moment his gaze landed on Elliot, it immediately turned icy.
âWhat the hell are you doing here?â he snapped, eyes narrowing.
He despised Elliot with a passion. Not only had the bastard toyed with his precious daughterâs feelings, but Elliot had also caused Corynn a miscarriage, robbing her of the chance to be a mother.
Just looking at Elliot made his blood boil.
âYouâre not welcome here,â he spat venomously, pointing down the hallway. âGet out!â
Elliot didnât make a move. He merely glanced up, only to see a smirk tugging at Jasonâs lips, as though mocking him for his earlier arrogance.
âWhy are you still standing here? You caused my daughter nothing but pain and suffering, yet you have the audacity to show your face here? I said, get out!â Erick roared at the top of his lungs, his earlier grief over Corynnâs injuries now transformed into pure rage.
Shirley, who had also emerged from the ward, glared at Elliot with equal hostility.
The situation, which Elliot had thought was under his control, quickly turned against him. Expression dark, he decided to leave without saying another word.
He could face off against Jason, but he couldnât fight Corynnâs parents.
Staying any longer would only make them despise him even more, and unlike Jason, their opinions mattered to himâespecially given his feelings for Corynn.
In addition, seeing Erickâs warm demeanor toward Jason left Elliot feeling stifled, and he didnât want to spend another second enduring such discomfort.
âJason, come on in. Corynn will be happy to know that you visited,â Erick called out loudly as he watched Elliot walk away.
Jason, understanding what Erick was up to, nodded enthusiastically. âOf course, Erick. Howâs she doing now?â As he stepped inside, Jason noted with satisfaction that Elliot paused momentarily in his tracks.
He then chuckled softly before following Erick into the room.
Meanwhile, Elliot was left with nothing but the title of âexâboyfriendâ, the most despised status in the eyes of Erick and Shirley.
Jason, on the other hand, had their full supportâsomething that Elliot coveted.

12:14 < Chapter 51 What Elliot Coveted Upon seeing the paleâfaced, bandaged up Corynn lying unconscious in bed, Jason felt a deep pang of sorrow. âErick, Shirley, what happened? How did Corynn get hurt so badly?â
Erick shook his head with a heavy sigh, still in the dark about the exact circumstances. The police, who were investigating the matter, had yet to provide answers.
All they knew for sure was thisâthat someone wanted Corynn dead.
Hearing this, Jason furrowed his brows and questioned, âSince her return, Corynn hasnât made any enemies. Who would want to kill het?â
As soon as the words left his lips, one potential suspect came to mind. Recently, since returning to the country, Corynn had fought back against a certain someone, and she had won against them twice. This could only mean that this was the Willis familyâs doing!
If Jason was right and Amanda was behind this, then this attack wouldnât be the last.
âErick,â Jason said gravely, âI believe itâs the Willis family that might be responsible for this attack.â
Erick shot up from his seat. âWhat? Again?!â he fumed, unable to understand why the Willis family kept relentlessly targeting his daughter. Not only had they tried to ruin his family business twice, but they now had taken things a step further and were trying to kill Corynn!
Erick clenched his fists tightly, his eyes blazing with fury.
âHow can they be so heartless?â Shirley also exclaimed angrily.
Jason glanced at Corynn, who was still unconscious, and tried to calm them down. âErick, Shirley, donât worry. Let me handle this.â
It seemed that it was high time he paid the Willis family a visit.
âWhat if they target you, too?â Shirley asked, clutching Jasonâs arm nervously.
Jason shook his head. âDonât worry, Shirley. They wonât dare to lay a finger on me.â
