Chapter 65
Sweet Submission: Reclaiming Her Love
Chapter 65 He Gets Drunk As she got out of the hospital, Amanda took out her phone and dialed Elliot again. As expected, his phone was still turned off.
Gritting her teeth in anger, she called Kaden next.
Kaden was beside himself looking after Elliot, who was completely drunk. When he saw that Amanda was calling him, he got even more frustrated.
Why on earth was she calling him now of all times? Kaden wanted to ignore the call, but he couldnât bring himself to do so.
Shaking his head, he sighed in defeat and picked up the call with his face filled with concern.
He couldnât help but wonder what sort of conversation transpired between Corynn and Elliot that would make the latter so furious. Elliot had smashed his phone so violently, that the memory of it alone was enough to make Kaden shiver.
Perhaps, Amanda would be able to calm Elliot down and stop him from consuming any more alcohol.
With this thought, Kaden informed Amanda that Elliot was with him and disclosed their location to her.
A little while later, Amanda arrived to see Elliot guzzling down alcohol as if it were water.
Knowing very well that Elliot wasnât someone to be so despondent, Amanda was quite shocked by what she saw. Furrowing her brows, she walked up to him, snatched the glass from his hand, and slammed it down on the table. âThatâs enough Elliot!â
Opening his eyes slightly, Elliot saw a blurry image of someone in front of him who appeared to look pissed. Despite the haze, he was able to identify the person as Amanda.
Rolling his eyes, he massaged his throbbing temples and murmured, âWhat are you doing here?â
The alcohol had greatly weakened his senses and he couldnât quite figure out why Amanda was suddenly standing in front of him.
âTell me, Elliot, were you planning to drink yourself to death if I hadnât come or what?â Amanda asked through gritted teeth.
Taking a deep breath, she turned to look at Kaden and asked, âWhy on earth is he drinking?â
Kaden swallowed hard and looked away, hesitant on whether to explain what happened or not.
Seeing the look of hesitation on his face, Amanda got the answer that she needed. She slightly rubbed her nose as tears gathered in her eyes and asked, âCorynn? He went to see her, right?â
Hearing this, Kaden opened his mouth slightly and widened his eyes in surprise.
How did she figure that out?
Irritated, Amanda shook her head and tried to help Elliot up, but he was too heavy. She glanced at Kaden and 0.0%

O Chapter 65 He Gets Drunk said, âCome on, assist me in holding him.â
Swiftly, Kaden walked up to Elliotâs other side and supported him from there.
âFor how long has he been drinking?â Amanda asked with a frown when she saw that Elliot couldnât even stand steadily.
âHe has been at it for more than two hours,â Kaden replied in a whisper.
Two hours? Amanda couldnât help but wonder if Elliot had been drinking for that long the way he was when she came. He had been downing a cup of alcohol as if its content were water.
Calling out Kadenâs name, she voiced this thought and he nodded slowly in confirmation.
Amanda bit her lip as a wave of sadness and anger washed through her body.
How could Elliot, her fiance, drink himself to a stupor over another woman? It was nothing short of insulting and it made Amandaâs blood boil in anger.
Three years!
For the past three years that she had known Elliot, he had never had such an emotional reaction over anyone, not even over her!
Even when she did something extreme that went against his wishes or when she wanted him to defend her, Elliot always acted distant, never warm or cold.
After arranging for a room, Amanda, with Kadenâs assistance, helped Elliot inside.
When Kaden didnât leave, Amanda got irritated and fumed, âWhy on earth are you still here?â
Kaden swallowed hard and glanced at Elliot, who was unconscious and lying on the bed.
Amanda followed his eyes and sneered, âFor heavenâs sake, Iâm his fiancee! Do you think that he isnât safe with me? Iâll ensure that he is well taken care of. You can leave us now!â
Kaden nodded slowly and left reluctantly.
Though he felt greatly uncomfortable, he had to admit that Amanda was right. As Elliotâs fiancee, anything that happened between her and Elliot wasnât out of the ordinary.
Amanda bit her lip and fixated her eyes on her fiance.
Elliot had near complete control of her emotions and could stir them in whichever way he wanted, yet he always acted like she didnât exist.
It was like she was just a blimp in his life that he didnât care about a bit.
