Chapter 70 Give It A Try Corynn awoke and noticed a new notification on her phone. Curious, she tapped it open and was confronted with a zoomed–in intimate photo.

In the image, Amanda’s eyes sparkled with a victorious glearn.

From what could be seen, Elliot seemed to be completely unclothed.

Corynn shut her phone, maintaining a neutral face, yet she couldn’t suppress an inward snicker.

Rain or shine, he made it a point to visit her daily. He always brought with him a meal he’d prepared himself.

Corynn had come to appreciate his culinary skills. Nibbling on a slice of bread, she remembered something Shirley had mentioned the other day.

“What’s the matter?” Jason inquired, noticing her distraction.

Corynn paused, then ventured softly, “Maybe we should give it a try.”

Her voice was so low it was almost inaudible. Feeling a mix of gratitude and obligation, she found it hard to meet his gaze.

Jason stood still, frozen. Despite Corynn’s soft voice, every word was crystal clear to him.

He kissed her hand softly and then stood. “Wait here for me, Corynn,” he said before quickly leaving the room.

Corynn started to call after him, but he was already gone.

With a rueful smile, she looked up to find Shirley observing her, an amused smirk playing on her lips.
