Raj was landing some hard punches on everyone when Aviraj and Manav stopped and moved slightly away from the crowd to figure out who was punching them. Seeing that Raj was taking advantage of the situation they pulled Aryaman and Vihaan away from each other and all of them stared at Raj who looked at them with a huge smile.
"Hi fuckers, howz life?" Raj greeted all of them excitedly.
"Is it just me or all of you were punched by him?" Aryaman asked looking at Raj and the rest. Vihaan stared at Raj for a second before it clicked that Raj was the one who punched him hard in the abdomen.
"Why were you punching us?" Vihaan returned Raj the punch and asked.
"Just like that. All of you were punching each other so I thought to join you all" Raj said rubbing his abdomen in pain.
"Ohh really. Time for you to be beaten up now" Aviraj and all punched Raj now as a joint fort until he gave up.
Breathing heavily they all sat on the sofas looking at each other before they all burst out laughing at their chilidish behaviour.
"Malhotra" Aviraj and Aryaman called Vihaan who was adjusting the pillows behind his back for a better support. He looked at them questioningly.
"Don't break Aaru's heart. You know how it went down in that Surya's case" Aryaman reminded Vihaan of the time when Aarchi had been in love with a boy named Surya who was cheating on her. Everyone in the room looked at him knowingly telling Vihaan to be careful with Aarchi.
Aarchi always held a great deal of love and respect amongst Aryaman and Aviraj's friend circle because none of the boys had a sister except for the twins. She was treated as a princess by all of them including Nidhi who craved to have a younger sibling found one in Aarchi.
"I won't break her heart" Vihaan said genuinely making the twins sigh in relief.
"Am hungry" Raj stood up and walked to the dining room and soon the rest followed. Aviraj was walking the last one when he saw Divya walk to him angrily. He looked around to find Manav was also standing beside him and thought that she came to talk to him.
"You!" She stopped infront of Aviraj with her hands crossed at her chest angrily. Manav continued walking with a smile and turned around with a thumbs up and mouthed Aviraj 'best of luck'.
"What?" He rolled his eyes and looked at her.
Divya held his hand and pulled him in a corner in the living room.
"I am dating Manav"
"So you've said" Aviraj tapped his feet impatiently dreading this conversation.
"You love Nidhi right?" She asked him making sure she got her facts right.
"Ofcourse I do" Aviraj looked at her with a duh face.
"You don't have a problem with me dating Manav right?" She waited for him to react to her question. Aviraj neither refused and neither accepted. She took a deep breathe and held him in position.
"I really love him Avi. He's a huge pain in the ass but he's sweet, understanding, caring, fun and supportive" Divya couldn't stop gushing about Manav.
"Exactly my problem yaar. You are my bestfriend not his. Date anyone else except him. You will forget that am your bestfriend. Tu meri bestfriend hai. We had the pact that we would make fun of your boyfriend together, I was supposed to test your boyfriend and check whether he is capable of your madness or not. Yaar I was supposed to crack the worst jokes on your bestfriend and tell you you've got a shit choice in men. Now you'll go to him for every problem" Aviraj complained like a child making Divya smile.
"Avi... You are and will always be my bestfriend. Who said you can't do all that we decided with Manav? Yeah that's true that now when I'll need help I'll have Manav but same way you will also have Nidhi right? See Avi, the besharmi level which we have, neither you can achieve that with Nidhi and neither I can have it with Manav because we love them and we want them to continue loving us. While us two together, we've done and seen quite a lot of shit that when you blabber non-sense I can still decode the info. behind it. Its is in your head that now just because am dating your friend that will change our equation. It won't Avi, you will always remain this ugly looking cheap man to me. When Manav hurts me you can have the first peg with me as we drink in the honor of my heartbreak and once am tipsy you can go to Manav and drink with him and bitch about me by being on his side. Its going to be a bit difficult in the beginning but it'll be perfect at the end" She made him sit on the sofa and explained him softly.
"I will be the first person to know all the gossip" He held his hand out to her asking her to promise.
"Always" She placed her hand in his smiling.
"I am allowed to tease him, test him and also beat him at times"
"As long as you don't go overboard because he is your friend too" She held his hand and stood up.
"I am going to be teasing the hell out of you because you are dating him" Aviraj looked at her playfully.
"Where's Nidhi? I can't seem to find her" Divya refused to back down from a fight.
"Nidhi I see. Are you sure you aren't looking for your biggy boy Manav?" Aviraj wrung his should over her neck, almost choking her as they walked to the dining room.
"By now you should have trained him in, 'aate waqt dahi lete aana, bartan saaf karo, jadhu pocha kiya kya' Is he trained or we need to train him?" Aviraj teased her making her glare at him.
"What does he do all the time? Just plays cricket the whole day. Woh toh teri galli ke bache bhi karte hai" He was testing her patience level like always.
"Leave me you arrogant, foolish, stupid man" She tried to pull his hair but wasn't capable as he was lot more taller than her. Everyone ignored them knowing that this was common by now between them.
"Chipkali shakal wali bhes"
"Haww you called me a bhes" Divya looked at him angrily for the insult he threw on her face.
"If am bhes then you...you...you are a chuhe jaisi shakal wale suvar" She managed to get herself out of his grip and started scratching his hands as he screamed in agony.
"Say sorry to me right now" She was pulling onto his hair just the way he pulled her hair.
"You say it first" He kept pulling her hair making both of them scream in pain. Everyone on the table looked at them in shock and brought their gaze back on to their food wondering whether they should stop the fight or eat the good food.
"Badi dhuvidha thi, phir humene socha, hatao yaar, matar paneer pe concentrate karo" Manav said voicing out everyone's feelings. All of them laughed making Aviraj and Divya stop fighting. Seeing good food on the table they timed out their fight and went and sat on their seats. Divya's hair resembled like a bird's nest while Aviraj's arms looked like he had been attacked by angry cats.
"Keep your wild cat locked" Aviraj said looking at Manav who ate his food without looking at anyone.
"More like keep the monkeys in their cage" She served herself food and glared at him. There was a lot of back and forth of insults thrown at each other when Maitri stopped them being tired of hearing them fight.
"He started it" Divya looked at Maitri complainingly.
"I don't care who started it. Look at the way you two look. We belong from a civilised family and this is how you two are behaving. 0 manners. Shameless brats" Maitri scolded both Aviraj and Divya who glared at each other and ate their food silently.
"I pity your children" Divya murmered making everyone snicker at her comment.
"Why?" Maitri looked at her for an explanation.
"Have you heard yourself ever scold people?" Divya looked at her.
"Divi... Eat your food silently or I'll send you back home" Maitri scolded Divya and checked everyone's plate and passed the curry bowls their side.
"Exactly this! You sound just so MOM. Take a chill and be the good cop parent to my sweet nieces and nephews" Divya said getting herself a piece of naan.
"Nope. Am going to be playing the good cop, let her be the bad cop. I'll pamper them and spoil them and she'll do all the scoldings and beatings" Aryaman said smiling widely at the thought of having children that were a part of both of them.
"You do realise it na beta ji that you were the one who got the most beatings out of you three" Kaira said smugly catching everyone's attention.
"Really?" Maitri looked at Kaira in shock.
"He was the most notorious one out of the three. Everyday a new complaint from the school and new tantrums at home. He would only sleep after he gets a nice beating from me. At times when one whole day goes by and he hasn't done a single mischief, I used to find it odd. He was the naughtiest out of all three" Kaira said laughing remembering how she'd feel her day is incomplete if she didn't scold Aryaman for his mischiefs.
"Bad cop-good cop is just a fancy word but generally moms do tend to play the strict and the caring role towards the children since a mother is responsible for instilling morales and values in a child. A father is equally responsible but the way a mother does it is slightly different. This has been proven by studies in the past, am not saying it" Nidhi said siding with Maitri telling her that even if she would play the strict mother role she'd still be the best.
"There we go with Nidhi Shah's Lifeskills Class 101 for the beginners" Vihaan teased her. She rolled her eyes playfully as everyone laughed. All of them were used to Nidhi dropping a few facts every now and then and it had been long since they heard it from her.
"Why don't you all go to the farmhouse and chill together? Its a weekend so you all can stay up till late" Rishav suggested liking the way his home was bustling with happiness and laughter.
"That's a good idea. I'll call the staff and ask them to prepare for us" Aryaman stood up to call.
"Take my bikes boys, enjoy the ride with your lady love" Rishav said making everyone happy. Aryaman returned from the phone call and asked about what they were discussing.
"I said you all could take my bikes for tonight" Rishav repeated for Aryaman.
"I'll take the car, we will need to take a few games and all which we can't take on the bikes. I'll take my Mercedes Benz is you aren't going to use it" Aryaman created a reason to not to take the bike because he wanted to see Maitri's driving skills on his car. Maitri who was looking at him not understanding a word he said realised what he was doing when he winked at her.
"As you want it to be" Rishav and Kaira agreed.
"Go safely and no funny business" Kaira said as a warning to which all of them nodded their head.
