Chapter 18

Chaos

Playboy's Heart

Chapter 15

The F4 gang decided to throw a party with their classmate at Bright's place to celebrate finishing their semester. Though they still had one more to go before graduating, everyone was in the mood to relax and have fun.

Nani was sitting with Dew and Win, casually chatting about their plans after graduation.

"I want to go to Japan," Win said excitedly. "But Dew keeps saying it'll already be winter by then, and it'll be too cold."

"Pick somewhere else, Win. I don't want to go to Japan." Dew replied, shaking his head.

"But Tee said if we all go to Japan, he might come along," Win added with a sly grin. "He's always wanted to visit but never had the chance. You wouldn't want him to miss out, would you?"

Dew paused, his gaze drifting toward Tee, who was laughing with Groya and Prim on the other side of the room. Win's smirk grew wider—he knew he'd played his cards right.

"Fine, fine." Dew sighed, throwing up his hands in defeat. "Whatever your highness wants, we'll go along with it."

Win let out a laugh, feeling victorious, but his eyes shifted to Nani, who was zoning out again. Over the past few days, Nani had been like this—distracted and lost in his own world.

"Nani, are you even listening to what Dew and I were talking about?" Win asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Huh?" Nani blinked, snapping back to reality. His clueless expression made Win chuckle.

"Nani, what's going on? You've been like this for days now," Dew asked, his tone curious but slightly concerned.

"Right, you keep spacing out," Win added, leaning back and stretching with his hands behind his head.

"Nothing, just got a lot on my mind recently," Nani muttered, taking a sip of his drink, avoiding their eyes.

"Is it about Sky again?" Win asked, smirking as he leaned closer.

"Spill it, Nani, or we'll go ask your little puppy what's going on," Dew threatened with a playful but determined look.

"Don't," Nani shot back quickly, his voice firm, giving Dew a warning glare. "He doesn't know anything about this yet."

"Then talk," Dew said, crossing his arms.

Win chuckled, clearly amused. "I wonder if you'd dare to talk this tough if Tee were here," he teased, throwing a sly glance at Dew, who only scoffed.

"Okay, okay." Nani relented, sighing deeply. "I'm scared Sky might think I'm moving too fast with him."

Mrs. Hari wants to meet Sky. But... Nani doesn't think Sky's ready for that yet. He knows his mother. She's kind, but if she decides Sky isn't good enough for him, she'll do whatever it takes to stop them. She's not as harsh as his dad, but she has her ways. And honestly, that scares him a little—even though he knows he won't let go of Sky.

"I don't think Sky would feel that way," Win said, leaning forward. "He dragged you to meet his parents, didn't he? If he thought it was too fast, he wouldn't have done that. So why would you think otherwise?"

"Don't underestimate Sky, Nani," Dew added, his voice calm but firm. "You take things seriously, and so does he. If you think Aunt Hari could scare him, you're wrong. Sky won't back down that easily. Sure, he listens to you, but he's pretty stubborn when it comes to standing his ground."

Nani sighed again, rubbing his temples. "The more I think about it, the more complicated it gets..." He trailed off before narrowing his eyes at Dew. "Wait, Dew. How did you know this has to do with my mom?"

Dew's eyes widened briefly before he quickly composed himself. "I'm just guessing," he said, a little too casually.

Win raised a brow, glancing between them. "What am I missing here?"

Nani shot a sharp glare at Dew, silently demanding the truth.

Dew sighed, unable to hold out. He was a terrible liar. "Aunt Hari came to find me at school the other day," he admitted, looking sheepish.

"What?" Nani and Win said in unison, their voices a mix of shock and disbelief.

"She wanted to talk about you and Sky." Dew added quietly, avoiding Nani's intense stare.

"F*ck," Win muttered. "It's never simple when the elders get involved. Bright and Groya's mess hasn't even settled completely yet, and now Aunt Hari's stepping into your and Sky's situation. My god, I'm sure your father will find out about it too."

Win shuddered at the thought. Among all the elders, Nani's father was the one he feared the most. Who wouldn't be? The man had the intimidating presence of a lion, he looked like he could tear you apart at any moment.

"Let me make one thing clear," Nani said firmly, cutting through Win's dramatics. "I don't care if my parents approve or are against me and Sky. What I do care about is them doing anything that might hurt him. Got it?"

Win raised his hands in mock surrender, grinning sheepishly. "Alright, alright, no need to glare at me like that. I'm just saying, your dad gives off major scary vibes like, serial killer scary."

Nani rolled his eyes, exasperated. "You're overreacting again, Win. He's strict, not some villain in a crime drama."

"Strict?" Win scoffed. "More like he's auditioning for a role as King of the Pride Lands. That glare of his could make anyone rethink their life choices."

Dew chuckled softly, but Nani just shook his head. "This guy really needs to stop watching so many crime shows."

Nani left his phone on the table and headed to the restroom.

After a few moments, the phone started ringing, the screen lighting up with an incoming call.

Win, ever the curious one, leaned over and grabbed the phone. A mischievous grin spread across his face when he saw who is calling.

"Well, well, look who's calling," Win said, holding up the phone so Dew could see. "It's Sky."

Dew glanced at the phone and raised an eyebrow. "Don't even think about answering it. Nani will kill you."

"Relax," Win said with a smirk, staring at the screen. "I just want to mess with him a little."

Win's smirk widened as he waved the phone slightly, his playful nature kicking into high gear.

"Win, put it down," Dew warned.

"Oh, come on," Win teased. "What's the worst that could happen? It's just Sky." He swiped to answer the call, bringing the phone up to his ear.

"Hello? Nani's personal assistant speaking," Win said in an overly formal tone, doing his best impression of a professional secretary.

There was a brief pause on the other end before Sky's confused voice came through. "Uh... may I know where Nani is?"

Win, undeterred, leaned back with a cheeky grin. "Can't say. He's currently on a very important mission in the restroom."Sky froze again, then he relize it might be Nani's gang again.

Sky paused for a moment, then sighed, the realization dawning on him. "Let me guess... it's you guys messing around again, isn't it?"

Sky sighed "P'Win, just tell Nani I called."

Meanwhile, Dew caught sight of Nani walking back from the restroom, his expression darkening as he noticed Win holding his phone. Dew quickly tried to warn him.

But Win, too engrossed in his antics, waved him off. "Shh..I've got this under control."

Dew winced. "Oh, you're definitely in control... of your funeral."

Just as Sky muttered something on the other end, Nani reached the table. Without missing a beat, he smacked the back of Win's head, hard enough to make him yelp. Win protested, rubbing his head.

"For being a nosy idiot." Nani snapped, snatching his phone. He brought it to his ear, his voice softening immediately. "Sky, sorry about that."

Win, still nursing his bruised pride, muttered to Dew, "You could've warned me, you know."

"I did." Dew said, smirking. "You just chose to ignore me."

"Next time, I'm answering his phone in peace." Win grumbled, glaring at Nani. Dew laughed quietly.

Nani grabbed his keys from the table, and Dew and Win exchanged knowing looks before Dew spoke up.

"You're just gonna leave us here like that?" Dew asked, half-joking but with a hint of seriousness.

Nani rolled his eyes as he slipped the keys into his pocket. "You're both adults. I'm sure you can survive one evening without me."

Nani paused at the doorway, glancing back at the two with a look of mock exasperation. "Try not to burn Bright's house down, okay? "

Win gave a mock salute. "yes, captain!" Then, with a mischievous grin, he added, "But if something does happen, I'll just tell Bright it was Dew's fault."

Dew glared at him. "Why me? You're the one who looks like a walking chaos magnet."

"Exactly." Win said, smirking. "Nobody will believe it was me. Too obvious."

Nani shook his head, stepping out the door. "Good luck dealing with him, Dew. You're gonna need it."

As soon as the door clicked shut, Win turned to Dew with a smirk. "Alright, you're on. A hundred bucks says Nani's too lovestruck to show up at school tomorrow."

Dew chuckled, casually leaning back as he scrolled through his phone. "You clearly underestimate Sky. He won't let Nani skip class that easily. Besides, your friend's the clingy one. Every time they see each other, he acts like it's been a hundred years since their last meet."

Win laughed, shaking his head. "True, but Sky's no better. He's like a puppy whenever Nani's around."

Dew smirked. "Exactly. Which is why Sky's going to make sure Nani's there bright and early tomorrow. You might as well hand over that hundred bucks now."

Win raised an eyebrow, his competitive streak kicking in. "We'll see, Dew. We'll see."
