Chapter 1

Bangkok University

"Nani, your puppy is here!" Bright's shout echoed from outside the classroom. Nani took a deep breath when he heard what Bright said. The puppy Bright was talking about was Sky.

"How many times do I have to tell you that he's not my puppy? Besides, he's human," Nani shot a glare at Bright as he walked outside.

"And you," Nani turned to Sky, who was standing near Bright and Groya. "Why would you come to find me again?"

"Nani, you don't need to be this harsh," Groya said, acting like she was protecting Sky like a child. Sky also played along, looking like a playful kid.

Nani didn't say anything but shot a direct glare at Sky. But his warmth feeling inside his heart has already betrayed him.

"Okay, okay," Sky stopped playing with Groya and handed Nani a box of breakfast that he had made himself.

Nani just looked at the box but didn't reach out to accept it. Dew, who was standing nearby, took the box from Sky instead.

"Sky, you don't need to make anything for this big guy," Dew said, taking the box from Sky and handing it to Nani. "He's old enough to find something to eat. Just take care of yourself—studying and working at the same time, you must have a lot of pressure."

"It's okay, P. I'm late now. I have to go," Sky said with his usual smile, waving goodbye to everyone before running off to his class on the other side of the university.

"Nani, Sky already made them, just accept it," Bright said, noticing Nani's cold behavior toward Sky. "It won't make your hand break."

"You need to understand that I don't accept anything from this guy because I don't want to raise his hope up, okay?" Nani said, walking quickly into the class.

All of them walked after him, since it was almost time for class to start.

"Okay, having someone as perfect as Sky has eyes on you is like winning the lottery," Dew said, placing the box on Nani's table since this stubborn guy wouldn't take it. "But look at you, acting like an arrogant teenage girl."

"Who asked him to?" Nani replied with a cold tone, crossing his arms.

"If someday you fall for him back, I'm gonna laugh my ass off," Bright said, smirking at Nani's arrogant gesture.

Nani just scoffed in response to Bright's comment, not bothering to engage.

Nani has always been a playboy, comfortable with flirting and keeping things light. People's hearts are just a game to him. But now, he's starting to care about Sky more and more every day, and it scares him. Nani tries to ignore his feelings, putting up a cold front to protect himself. It's a constant struggle—caught between wanting to shield his heart and the undeniable pull he feels towards Sky.
