Another Surprise
Playboy's Heart
Chapter 32
The stage lights were bright, but not overwhelming, as Nani and Sky sat side by side on the plush couch provided by the show. The host, a lively woman with a contagious smile, greeted the audience and introduced them.
"Today, we have a very special treat for everyone!" the host announced. "Not only do we have the beloved actor Sky, but also the man who's captured his heart, Nani! Let's give them a warm welcome!"
The crowd cheered, and Sky leaned closer to Nani, whispering, "Relax, it's just like talking at home, except with cameras and strangers."
Nani gave him a side-eye. "You're not helping."
The host laughed at their visible dynamic. "You two already look like you're having fun. So, let's dive in! Sky, how did you convince Nani to join you today? This isn't his usual scene, right?"
Sky grinned, tilting his head toward Nani. "It wasn't easy, let me tell you. Nani's not one for the spotlight. I think I might've promised him snacks or something."
Nani rolled his eyes but couldn't suppress a small smile. "More like you begged and said, 'It'll be fun! Trust me!'"
The audience chuckled, charmed by their banter.
"And has it been fun so far?" the host asked, directing the question to Nani.
Nani paused, pretending to think. "Well, I haven't run away yet, so that's a good sign."
Sky playfully nudged him. "He's actually enjoying himself. Don't let him fool you."
The host grinned, clearly loving their energy. "So, what's it like, Nani, being with someone like Sky? He's such a public figure, and you seem to prefer keeping things low-key."
Nani glanced at Sky, his expression softening. "It's... different, Sky has his way of making everything feel easy, even when it's not. And let just say I am not strong enough to reject his puppy face."
The audience let out a collective "aww," while Sky smiled so brightly it was as if the lights weren't needed anymore.
The host laughed, leaning in with an amused glint in her eyes. "Ah, the infamous puppy face! Sky, care to show that for us?"
Sky instantly turned to Nani, his eyes wide and glistening, his lower lip jutting out a little. "Please, Nani," he whimpered dramatically.
The audience burst into laughter, clapping at Sky's performance.
Nani groaned, covering his face with his hands. "See what I have to deal with?" he muttered, though his laughter betrayed him.
"I see what you mean, Nani. No one's safe from that weapon!" The host was nearly in tears from laughing.
Sky dropped the act and turned to Nani with a smug grin. "Works every time, doesn't it?"
"Unfortunately, yes," Nani said with a small shake of his head, though the soft smile on his face showed he didn't mind at all.
"Alright, Sky, your turn," the host said, turning to him with a playful grin. "Can you confirm the rumor that you were the one who made the first move?"
Sky let out a laugh, glancing at Nani, who raised an eyebrow as if to say, Let's see how you spin this.
"Yeah, I'll admit it," Sky said, leaning forward slightly. "I made the first move. I was the one who chased after him, no question about it."
The audience laughed and cheered, and the host looked intrigued. "So, how did you do it? Was it romantic, bold, or just... awkward?"
"Bold," Sky said with a grin. "But, uh, I wouldn't exactly recommend my approach."
"Why not? Worked out pretty well for you."
Sky chuckled, shaking his head. "I mean, yeah, but I kind of just went for it, Showing up wherever he was, making excuses to talk to him, doing anything to get his attention, taking of care even he doesn't allow me to. Honestly, looking back, it was a little much. There was even a moment when I tripped over my own feet in front of him.""
The host laughed along with the audience. "So, you're saying you went all in?"
"All in," Sky confirmed, raising his hands in mock surrender. "But if anyone here is thinking about doing the same thing, maybe don't go as overboard as I did. It worked for me, but not everyone has Nani's patience."
The audience burst into laughter, and Nani joined in, shaking his head with an amused smile. "Patience? That's one way to put it."
Sky grinned, leaning toward Nani. "You know you love it."
"Sure, keep telling yourself that," Nani shot back, though the warmth in his voice betrayed just how much he had fallen for Sky.
The host watched the banter with a smile. "You two have such a natural chemistry. It's no wonder people can't stop talking about you."
After that, the host announced an exciting surprise for the audience. "And now, to make today even more special, we're going to give some lucky fans a chance to take a picture with Sky and Nani!"
After the lucky numbers were drawn, the selected fans were invited on stage. Each fan had a chance to take a photo with Sky and Nani, who made sure everyone felt at ease.
By the end, the stage was filled with smiles and laughter. The host wrapped up the segment with a warm thank-you. "Let's give a big round of applause to our lucky fans, and of course, to Sky and Nani for being such amazing guests today!"
The audience responded with thunderous applause, leaving both Sky and Nani glowing as they waved goodbye to the Sky's fans who had made the moment unforgettable.
--
The weekend finally rolled around, bringing with it clear skies and the perfect excuse for a gathering. The F4 gang decided to host a small party at Win's sprawling home, complete with a cozy BBQ setup in the garden.
The evening air was warm and filled with the smell of grilled meat and veggies. Laughter spread across the lawn, while fairy lights hanging along the fence gave the garden a soft, magical glow.
Win, the ever-energetic host, was manning the grill with a spatula in one hand and a drink in the other. "Alright, who's ready for the best steak of their life?"
"Let's hope it's not burnt this time." Nani teased, sitting on a lounge chair with Sky by his side.
Dew was off to the side, setting up the table with care, making sure everything was just right. "Don't let him fool you," he said quietly, a small smile tugging at his lips. "I'm the one who seasoned the meat."
Bright, sitting close by and scrolling through his phone, joined in with a sly comment. "Just make sure there's enough food for everyone, Dew. We all know how much Win can eat."
Win tossed a napkin at Bright. "At least I don't hog all the desserts like you!"
As the night went on, the group found a nice rhythmâeating, talking, and sharing stories. Sky and Nani stayed close, sharing a plate of grilled meat and laughing at Win's exaggerated stories.
Later, Prim showed up with a tray of homemade cupcakes, which everyone instantly praised. "They're just a little something I made," she said shyly, her cheeks turning pink from the compliments.
Win took a big bite of one and groaned loudly. "Prim, will you marry me? These are amazing!"
"Sorry, no vacancies." she replied with a cheeky grin, making everyone laugh.
As the group enjoyed the warm evening, laughter and teasing filling the air, Sky's phone buzzed on the table. He reached for it, glancing at the screen. It was a text from his manager:
"The show you did with Nani just aired. Social media is already buzzing."
Sky's eyebrows shot up, and he turned to Nani with a grin. " The interview we went to together just on aired."
Nani blinked, mid-bite of his skewer. " Already? Didn't they say it'd be next week?"
Sky shrugged, already pulling up the show on his phone. "I guess they bumped it up. Let's see if they edited out all the embarrassing parts."
Win, overhearing, leaned in with interest. "Wait, wait! You two were on a show together? Why didn't I know about this?"
"Because you'd never stop teasing us," Nani muttered, rolling his eyes.
Win smirked. "Too late for that now. Put it on the big screen!"
"Great idea!" Bright chimed in, running quickly to connect the phone to the outdoor projector they'd set up earlier.
Within moments, the garden turned into a makeshift outdoor theater, the screen lighting up with the opening credits of the show. Everyone gathered around, snacks in hand, ready to watch.
The episode began with the host introducing Sky and Nani, their playful banter drawing laughs from the F4 gang.
"Look at Nani trying to act cool," Win teased, nudging him.
"Shut up." Nani said, though his face was already turning red.
When Sky's "puppy face" moment played on screen, the group burst into laughter, especially Win, who doubled over. "Oh man, Sky! You're shameless!"
"Worked, didn't it?" Sky shot back with a grin, earning a soft laugh from Nani.
As the episode continued, the group's laughter mixed with teasing, creating a lively atmosphere. But when the heartfelt moments airedâlike Sky confessing he made the first move and calling Nani the one who made everything betterâthe teasing stopped, replaced by quiet smiles.
"That's sweet," Dew said softly, breaking the silence.
Prim nodded, her eyes sparkling. "You two are adorable."
Nani, clearly embarrassed, buried his face behind Sky's shoulder. "Why did I agree to this?"
Win clapped loudly. "Alright, new rule: you two do more shows together. This was the best entertainment I've had all week!"
"Not happening," Nani said firmly, but he relax in Sky's arm.
As the show neared its end, everyone was laughing at another playful moment between Sky and Nani. But then, on the screen, the camera zoomed in on something unexpected. Sky and Nani's hands resting casually on the couch, both adorned with matching couple rings.
Sky and Nani exchanged a quick, surprised glance. Neither had planned to reveal their couple rings yet, thinking it might be too soon to share such a personal detail with the public. Even they had already begun preparing for their wedding.
Nani's thoughts drifted to the day he introduced Sky to his father. To his surprise, his father, who had once been Sky's toughest critic, got along with him far better than Nani had ever imagined.
Nani leaned back in his seat, watching Sky handle the situation on the screen with ease and confidence. A smile tugged at his lips. Who would've thought the same man who endured so much to prove himself could also a charm grumpy puppy in the same person?
Sky noticed Nani's soft expression and nudged him gently. "What's that look for?" he whispered, low enough so only Nani could hear.
"Just thinking about how you managed to win over my dad." Nani replied, shaking his head in disbelief. "I still can't figure out how you pulled that off."
Sky smirked, leaning a little closer. "It's a gift," he teased. "Besides, I had to. Winning your heart meant winning over everyone you love."
Nani rolled his eyes but couldn't stop his smile from widening. "You're lucky my father like you now. Otherwise, you'd be in trouble."
Sky laughed softly. "Yeah, well, I'd still do it all over again for you."
"Whatttttt?" Win suddenly shouted, his voice echoing across the garden and dragging everyone's attention.
While watching the show with the others, Win got up to grab a drink. In his usual carefree manner, he bumped into the table, accidentally knocking over a glass of juice. The drink spilled directly onto Nani's bag, soaking his cherished My Melody doll keychain.
Win's eyes went wide with panic. He knew how much Nani loved his doll.
"Oh no, no, no!" he muttered, grabbing a napkin and frantically wiping at the mess. As he cleaned, something unexpected slipped out of Nani's bag, a beautifully designed, aesthetic wedding invitation.
Win froze, picking up the card with shaky hands. He stared at it, his eyes darting from the elegant design to the names on it.
And here he was, standing completely frozen in place after shouting his lungs out.
Everyone's eyes widened in surprise as they noticed what Win was holding. But, of course, it was Win's reaction that stole the show, teetering on the edge of over-the-top dramatics.
"I knew you two were getting married, but seeing this makes it realâlike, really real!" he exclaimed, clutching his chest as if the revelation might actually make him faint.
"Win, calm down," Sky said, trying to suppress a grin. "It's just an invitation."
"Just an invitation?!" Win shot back, holding the card aloft as if it were a royal decree. "This is huge! I need a moment to process this."
Nani pinched the bridge of his nose, though a small smile tugged at his lips. "Win, if you pass out, I'm not dragging you inside."
Win placed a hand on his heart, dramatically fanning himself with the invitation. "Don't worry, I'll be fine... eventually. But first, someone get me another drink. I think I need it to process all this excitement!"
The rest of the group burst into laughter, the earlier surprise giving way to the usual warmth and humor that tied them all together.
