Dew & Tee's Big Day
Playboy's Heart
The wedding venue was like something out of a dream, soft golden lights twinkling above, delicate white flowers adorning every corner, and the gentle hum of music filling the air. The evening breeze carried the scent of fresh roses, adding to the warmth of the celebration.
Sky adjusted the little white bow on Ariya's dress, making sure she was comfortable. Her big, curious eyes scanning the beautifully decorated hall.
"Papa, where's Uncle Dew?" Ariya asked, tugging on Sky's sleeve.
Sky crouched down to her level and pointed toward the front of the reception area. "See? Over there, with Uncle Tee."
Ariya's face lit up as she spotted Dew and Tee walking hand in hand, greeting guests. "They look pretty," she said in awe.
Nani, standing beside them, chuckled. "You mean 'handsome,' sweetheart."
Ariya shook her head. "No, pretty!" she insisted, making Sky laugh.
Before Nani could argue further, Win's voice rang out. "Ah! There they are! My favorite married couple. oh, wait, my second favorite now that Dew and Tee have joined the club."
Win strutted over, wearing his signature playful smirk, and immediately scooped Ariya up into his arms. "And you, little princess, have you missed your Uncle Win?"
Ariya giggled. "Yes!"
Win beamed. "See? She loves me." Then, turning to Sky and Nani, he added "At least one of you raised her right."
"Put my daughter down, you menace." Nani grumbled, crossing his arms.
"Alright, alright." Win relented, setting Ariya back on her feet before dramatically holding his chest. "But that hurt, Nani. Truly. Right here."
Before Nani could retort, Groya arrived with Bright by her side. "Win, leave them alone. You're causing chaos again."
Bright chuckled, wrapping an arm around Groya's waist. "Let him be. It's his way of showing love."
The music suddenly shifted, signaling the arrival of the newlyweds. Dew and Tee walked hand in hand, glowing with happiness as they made their way to the front of the reception area. Cheers erupted from the crowd, and Sky nudged Nani gently.
"They really do suit each other," Sky murmured.
Nani nodded. "Yeah. It's nice seeing them like this."
As the ceremony continued, speeches were given, laughter was shared, and the love in the air was undeniable. When it came time for the bouquet toss, Prim stood reluctantly near the other girls, clearly uncomfortable with the idea. Win, noticing this, grinned mischievously.
"Prim, catch it and I'll make sure you never have to lift a finger for anything ever again." he teased.
Prim glared at him, but the moment the bouquet was thrown, it miraculously landed in her arms. She stood frozen as everyone erupted into laughter and cheers.
Win leaned in, whispering, "Looks like fate agrees with me."
Meanwhile, Sky turned to Nani. "What about us? Should we get married again?" he teased, watching as Nani's face turned red.
Nani sighed dramatically. "Sky, we're already married."
Sky smirked. "I know. But if we had another wedding, I could propose again, just to see you blush like that."
As the evening drew on, Ariya yawned and climbed into Nani's lap, resting her head against his chest.
Nani adjusted Ariya in his arms, his hand instinctively cradling her small frame as she snuggled deeper into his warmth. Her tiny fingers curled into the fabric of his suit, her slow, steady breaths making his heart melt.
Sky, watching them with the softest gaze, reached over to brush a stray lock of hair from her face. "She's getting sleepier by the second."
Nani hummed, gently rocking Ariya in his arms. "It's been a long day for her. She was running around with the flower girls nonstop."
Sky chuckled. "That's because Win was encouraging her."
As if summoned by his name, Win suddenly plopped down beside them. "My dear niece. She fought bravely today, running, laughing, and keeping me entertained. A true hero."
Nani rolled his eyes. "Win, you're the one who told her there was a 'super-secret flower girl mission' just so she'd run around."
Win grinned unapologetically. "And it worked, didn't it?"
Sky sighed, but there was amusement in his eyes. "At least she had fun. That's all that matters."
Just then, Ariya stirred, her tiny voice muffled against Nani's chest. "Uncle Win is too loud..."
Win gasped in mock offense. "Betrayed by my favorite niece! Is this what fatherhood feels like?"
Bright, who had just returned to the table, smirked. "I think it's just you, Win. Even a little girl knows when you talk too much."
Groya, ever the mother of the group, patted Win's back. "You'll survive."
Prim, sitting quietly beside them, giggled softly. "She really is adorable."
Sky smiled proudly. "She gets it from me."
Nani scoffed. "Excuse me?"
Nani groaned, but before he could argue, Ariya lifted her head sleepily. "Papa..." she mumbled, reaching for Sky.
Sky immediately took her from Nani's arms, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. "I'm here, sweetheart."
Ariya sighed contentedly, nestling into Sky's embrace as he swayed her slightly. The sight was so precious that even Win had no jokes left to make.
Leaning in close to Nani's ear, Win whispered, "Nani, if you ever consider having more kids, I'll support it 100%. Just to see Sky like this againâbeing all soft and doting. It's honestly the best entertainment."
Nani shot him an unimpressed look. "Win, that's not a reason to have more kids."
Win smirked. "Oh, come on. Imagine a little army of mini Sky and Nani running around. It would be chaos, but adorable chaos."
Nani shook his head, chuckling despite himself. "You just want more opportunities to cause trouble."
"Exactly." Win admitted shamelessly.
Before Nani could reply, Groya, who had clearly overheard, gave Win a pointed look. "Win, stop trying to convince people to expand their families for your amusement."
Bright snorted. "Yeah, especially when you're the last person who should be giving parenting advice."
Win placed a dramatic hand over his heart. "How dare you? I'd be a fantastic dad."
Prim giggled softly. "Maybe... someday." Her cheeks turned pink at the suggestion, and Win, catching the meaning behind her words, blinked before a rare.
Meanwhile, Sky, still cradling Ariya, glanced at Nani with a raised eyebrow. "What are you two whispering about?"
Nani, deciding he didn't need Sky joining in on Win's nonsense, simply said, "Nothing important."
Win, being Win, smirked and sang, "Oh, it's very important."
Sky narrowed his eyes. "Do I even want to know?"
Nani sighed. "No. No, you do not."
Sky looked suspicious but let it go, focusing instead on Ariya, who had fully dozed off in his arms. He smiled softly, pressing another gentle kiss to her forehead. "Let's head back soon. She's completely out."
"Agreed," Nani said, standing up and stretching.
Win pouted. "Already? But the night is still young!"
Groya rolled her eyes. "Win, not everyone has your energy."
Bright chuckled. "And some people actually have responsibilities."
Win gasped. "I am responsible!"
Everyone at the table gave him a look.
Prim giggled again. "You try your best."
Before Nani and Sky could prepare to leave, the music shifted to a lively melody, and guests began moving toward the dance floor, drawn by the irresistible energy of the celebration. Laughter and cheers filled the air as couples swayed together, their happiness infectious.
Just as Sky adjusted Ariya in his arms, preparing to bid farewell to their friends, Dew and Tee approached with wide grins, hands still entwined.
"Leaving already?" Dew asked, raising an eyebrow.
"You can't go yet!" Tee added, nudging Sky playfully. "Stay until the wedding is over. We won't let you two escape so easily."
Sky hesitated, glancing at Ariya, who was still peacefully asleep in his arms. "Ariya's already asleep," he said, gently swaying her. "I don't want to wake her."
Tee waved a hand dismissively. "She'll be fine. Let her rest, and you two enjoy the party a little longer. You can't miss the final dance!"
Before Nani could protest, Win suddenly took Ariya from them gently. "Come on, Nani, don't be boring. This is Dew and Tee's big night! You wouldn't want to hurt the newlyweds' feelings, would you?"
"And besides, when was the last time you two had fun like this? You both deserve to let loose a little."
Bright chuckled, wrapping an arm around Groya. "Face it, Nani, you're not getting out of this one."
Sky looked at Nani, a teasing glint in his eyes. "Well, if we're staying, we might as well enjoy it, right?"
Nani sighed in defeat, but a small smile tugged at his lips. "Fine, but if Ariya wakes up and gets cranky, I'm blaming all of you."
Win smirked. "Deal."
Dew and Tee exchanged a knowing glance before signaling the DJ. The upbeat music gradually faded, replaced by a soft, romantic melody that wrapped around the venue like a warm embrace. The guests instinctively quieted, turning their attention to the newlyweds as they stepped onto the dance floor.
Dew pulled Tee close, swaying gently to the music. Their eyes locked, filled with love and silent promises. It was a moment that belonged to themâtwo souls finally finding their forever.
Sky watched them with a small smile before turning to Nani. He reached out a hand, his expression soft. "Dance with me?"
Nani hesitated, glancing around. "Sky, people are watching."
Sky tilted his head playfully. "And? Let them watch."
Before Nani could protest further, Sky took his hand, gently leading him to the dance floor. Nearby, Prim giggled as she settled Ariya onto her lap, while Win leaned back in his chair with a smirk. "Don't worry, Ariya. Your dads are having a moment. Let's just sit back and enjoy the show."
As the soft melody continued, Sky pulled Nani close, their hands naturally finding their place in each other's. The world around them faded into the background, leaving only the two of them.
Sky exhaled, resting his forehead against Nani's for a brief second before whispering, "You know... sometimes, I still can't believe I got to meet you."
Nani's breath hitched slightly at the sincerity in Sky's voice. He let his hand settle on Sky's waist, holding him just a little closer. "Sky..."
Sky chuckled softly, shaking his head. "I mean it. You changed everything for me. You gave me love, a home, a family." His eyes flickered to where Ariya sat with Prim and Win before returning to Nani's. "I don't think I could ever thank you enough for that."
Nani's chest ached in the best way possible. "You don't have to thank me, idiot," he murmured. "I love you. That's all that matters."
Sky grinned, his heart full. They continued to sway, lost in their little world, before Sky leaned in slightly, mischief twinkling in his eyes. "So... what do you think about giving Ariya a sibling?"
Nani froze mid-step, pulling back just enough to stare at Sky.
Sky bit back a laugh at the shock on his husband's face. "You heard me. Don't you think it's time for another little one running around?"
Nani opened his mouth to respond, but before he could, Win's voice rang out from the side. "Hey, I fully support this idea! Watching Sky take care of a baby is my favorite form of entertainment."
Prim swatted Win's arm, stifling a giggle. "Win, stop teasing them."
Sky only shrugged, laughing as he twirled Nani around. "Think about it" he murmured, his voice dripping with warmth. "A bigger family, more love, more chaos but the good kind."
Nani sighed, pressing his forehead against Sky's once more. He looked at the man in front of him, the same man he had fought with, laughed with, cried with. The man that now is his husband, his best friend, the father of their daughter, the love of his life.
Nani's voice wavered. "You really want another child?"
"I do. Not just for Ariya, not just for us but because I want more of this, Nani. More of these moments, more love to share, more memories to make. And I want them all with you."
Nani felt his throat close up, overwhelmed by the weight of Sky's words. He glanced over at their daughter, asleep in Prim's lap, her tiny hands curled into fists, her small chest rising and falling peacefully. She was their everything, a piece of them both, a miracle they had never known they needed.
And now, Sky was asking for another.
Nani let out a shaky breath, his emotions tumbling over one another. He thought back to how scared he had been before Ariya was here, afraid of not being enough, of not knowing how to be a good father. But the moment he had held her for the first time, his world had shifted. Everything had fallen into place.
Could he do it again?
Before he could answer, Sky reached out, cupping Nani's face with both hands. "You don't have to decide now," he murmured, pressing a soft kiss to Nani's forehead. "But no matter what, I want you to know this: You and Ariya are my home."
Nani squeezed his eyes shut, willing himself not to break down right there in the middle of the dance floor. But Sky, his stupid husband, always knew how to shake him to his core.
When Nani opened his eyes again, they were wet with unshed tears. He nodded, pulling Sky into a tight embrace, holding on as if the entire world would disappear if he let go. "I love you," he whispered hoarsely. "More than I can ever put into words."
Sky smiled against his shoulder, his own eyes shimmering. "I love you more."
Nani kissed him then. Not rushed, not desperate, but deep and full of love. The kind of love that had grown between them, that had been tested and strengthened, that had turned two people who once clashed into two souls that fit together perfectly.
The kind of love that lasted a lifetime.
As they pulled apart, they heard Win dramatically sob. " What a beautiful moment. I think I might cry."
Groya smacked his head. "Oh, shut up, Win. Let them have their moment."
Prim giggled, gently cradling Ariya, who slept peacefully, wrapped in the warmth of the love surrounding her. Dew and Tee exchanged smiles, their wedding made even more beautiful by the sight before them.
As laughter and music filled the air, as their friends' joy echoed around them, Ariya slept soundly in the arms of those who loved her most. Nani knew one thing for certain.
This was home. Sky. Ariya. Their little family. And the love they would carry, forever.
It feels a bit long, na. I guess I just missed them a little too much today.
