Moments of Change

Playboy's Heart

Chapter 6

After sharing a moment in the cold outdoors, Nani and Sky now get into Nani's car. Nani notices that Sky is still trembling from the chill, especially since he isn't dressed warmly.

Nani turns off the air conditioning and switches on the heater to make sure Sky stays warm.

Sky notices what Nani has done. Without a word, he leans in and gently kisses Nani on the cheek.

"If you touch me again, you'll have to walk home for sure, Sky," Nani says, trying to keep his tone stern but failing to hide the warmth in his voice.

Sky pouts when he hears that, but deep down he knows that Nani doesn't really mean that.

After a while, they arrive at Sky's place. Sky doesn't want to go in, he wants staying over at Nani's place instead, but Nani refuses.

After a moment of hesitation, Sky steps out of the car. He lingers by the door for a moment, as if hoping Nani will change his mind, but Nani still doesn't change his mind. Sky walks up to the front door of his place, but suddenly walk back toward the driver seat.

Sky knocks on the glass, Nani clicks the remote to press down the front door glass with curiosity. Since Nani only opens it a little, it's not enough for Sky to pull his head in. Sky gestures down, signalling Nani to press the remote again to open it wider.

Sky takes a small box out of his bag and holds it out to Nani. Nani narrows his eyebrows, looking at Sky with suspicion.

"Christmas gift," Sky taps Nani's forehead with a smile, as if he know what Nani want to ask.

Nani gives Sky a side-eyed look as he notices that Sky has become bolder in touching him.

Nani open the box and see a small ticket.

"I have a show at the university on New Year's Eve," Sky said with a bright smile

"Idiot. Who gifts someone a ticket to their own show?" Nani retorted, raising an eyebrow while giving Sky an unimpressed look.

"Because I want you to come," Sky replied, his expression shifting into a sad puppy face, complete with wide eyes and a slight pout.

Nani lets out an exasperated sigh, rolling his eyes, but the corner of his mouth twitches as if fighting a smile. "You're really something, aren't you?" he mutters.

Sky's face lights up immediately, his sad puppy act vanishing in an instant. "So, you'll come?" he asks excitedly, leaning closer to Nani.

"Yeah, yeah, I'll come. Just stop with that face—it's annoying," Nani grumbles, though his tone lacks any real irritation.

Sky beams, practically glowing. "I knew you cared!"

"Don't push your luck," Nani warns, but the faint warmth in his voice betrays him.

"Go in already," Nani said in a cold tone, though his eyes flicked briefly to Sky's thin clothing. Deep down, he was just worried that Sky might catch a cold if he stayed out too long in the chilly air.

Sky smiled knowingly, catching the concern behind Nani's words. Without warning, he leaned into the car and quickly stole a kiss from Nani, catching him completely off guard.

Before Nani could react, Sky pulled back with a grin, gave him one last wave, and darted off toward his place, leaving Nani frozen in his seat.

" Idiot..." Nani muttered under his breath, his hand unconsciously brushing his mouth where Sky's lips had been. As he drove away, a faint blush crept up his face.

Maybe, just maybe, Sky isn't like the others who have come into Nani's life before. Nani has always been surrounded by people drawn to him because of the influence and power his family holds. It's one of the reasons he keeps his guard up, never letting anyone into his life too easily. But with Sky, things feel different, leaving Nani wondering if he's finally found someone who sees him for who he truly is.

As Nani entered his place, he headed straight for the shower, letting the warm water wash away the day's exhaustion. After drying off, he changed into his comfortable pink pajamas—a favorite for unwinding at home. Once settled, he pulled Sky's gift out of his bag as he climbed into bed with the small box.

Opening it again, Nani carefully took out the ticket, admiring it for a moment before something caught his attention. Beneath the ticket was a hidden layer he hadn't noticed before. His brows furrowed in surprise as he peeled it back, revealing a delicate necklace tucked inside.

Nani's fingers hesitated for a moment before he lifted the necklace out, the soft glow of the room's light reflecting off its design.

As Nani settled into bed, his phone chimed with a new message. Glancing at the screen, he saw it was from Sky.

"I wasn't sure what to get you, since you seem to have everything. I really want you to come to the show, so I included the ticket. But the real gift is under the ticket. Don't forget to check again. >,<" Sky

Nani smirked as he typed his response. "I already checked even before you texted, idiot."

He placed the necklace on his bedside table, a small smile playing on his lips as he drifted off to sleep, thoughts of Sky lingering in his mind.

The next day, Nani decided to wear the necklace, As he fastened it around his neck, he couldn't help but smile, thinking about that giant puppy. The necklace felt like a connection to Sky, a reminder of the warmth that had begun to melt Nani's guarded heart.

As usual, everyone arrives to the class before Nani. Nani is the last one to arrive every time. As he walks in, everyone can sense the good feeling from this moody guy.

"Someone is happy today," Bright begins, always finding it so fun to tease Nani.

"Shut up," Nani replies, taking out his phone. But his eyes widen as he sees a photo of him and Sky hugging each other in front of the mall in the group chat.

"DEWWW," he calls out, frustration mixed with surprise.

Dew looks up from his seat, feigning innocence. "What?" he asks, playing dumb, but he's got a wide, smile on his face.

Groya and Prime were busy holding their mouths from screaming, while Win was still in shock at what he saw.

"F*ck, the last time I saw you two together, you guys weren't talking to each other," Win teased Nani with a laugh. "Aren't you moving a little too fast, Khun Nani?"

"Dew, delete it right now," Nani said, standing up and trying to chase Dew, who was already running away from him.

Dew shrugged, still wearing that playful smile. "Why? You look cute together, don't they?" Dew asked everyone.

Nani shot a glare at Dew. "This isn't funny, Dew," he grumbled. "Why'd you send this to the group?"

Dew's grin widened. "Because I remember someone said that he and Sky weren't even a thing, so why would he care about Sky? But it seems like someone is already falling hard."

Nani sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "I swear, Don't let me catch you or I will kick you ass."

Dew got a smirk playing on his lips. "What do you mean? It's just a picture," he says, trying to brush it off. "I just can't let the evidence go away when the two of you commit a crime in front of my eyes."

Nani's brow furrows in disbelief. "Evidence, your ass" he mutters, turning back to his phone, frowning at the photo again. "You planned this, didn't you?"

Dew just grins wider. "Maybe," he teases, enjoying Nani's reaction.

"Okay, okay. Enough, P Dew." Prim stopped Dew from teasing Nani with a small laugh.

Groya walked and stand beside Nani, her voice low. "So, are you guys... together now?" she asked.

Nani's expression softened a little as he looked at their friend, who were still chuckling at the whole situation. "I don't know," Nani admitted. "Maybe we're just... figuring things out."

Groya gave Nani a gentle nudge. "Just take it one step at a time, Nani," she said with a warm smile. "You'll see where it goes."

"Nani, someone is looking for you," one of their classmates shouted from outside, making the F4 gang immediately exchange knowing glances. They could see it clearly, and Nani's ears turned slightly red with embarrassment.

Nani quickly walked outside and saw Sky standing in front of his class. Nani noticed that Sky was dressed in a warmer style than usual, clearly having caught a cold.

"Your coffee," Sky said, handing a warm cup of coffee to Nani's hand.

Sky noticed the necklace around Nani's neck and couldn't help but smile widely. He reached out to gently touch the necklace that hung around Nani's neck perfectly, just as it lay on Nani's mole.

"I'm glad that you wear it," Sky said, looking at Nani with puppy eyes.

Nani got shy and didn't know what to do, so he just nodded in response. Sky wanted to say something, but before he could, he let out a big sneeze.

Nani gently laid his hand on Sky's forehead to check his body temperature. "Catching a cold?" Nani asked softly as he adjusted Sky's clothes to make sure he stayed warm.

Sky nodded, his voice a little hoarse. "Yeah, I think so," he admitted. "It's just a minor one, though. I didn't want to miss seeing you today."

Nani let out a small laugh at Sky's cheesy line, tapping Sky's forehead gently.

"What about taking care of yourself first?" Nani said with a teasing smile. "Don't you have a show in a few days?"

Sky nodded. "Yeah, I do," he admitted with a sigh.

Sky squeezes Nani's hand. "But as I said I just didn't want to be stuck in bed and miss seeing you."

Nani chuckled, shaking his head. "Okay, okay. I already promised I'd go watch your show. If you're too sick and can't show up, remember, it's your fault, not mine."

Sky pouted and kept squeezing Nani's hand, clearly not happy about the idea of missing his show.

Every action of theirs was under the watchful eye of the F4 gang.

"I know that Sky has his way with Nani, but I never expected Nani to be this gentle with Sky," Groya said with a surprised look as she watched them.

"That's why everyone say people would do anything for love," Win replied, shaking his head in amazement at Sky's power to change Nani.
