Chapter 37

Bloody's Host

Ghost Sweepers The XXX that only I can understand

Ahhhhh! Philip cried in his heart, he closed his eyes. He knew it was game over. He waited for death to arrive.

Yet, there was only silence. He wanted to look up to check what was going on but the voice stopped him.

"Looks like he is not here." Bloody said. Philip felt strange and peeped through his fingers. The windows in the classroom were unharmed. He suddenly realized the windows the monster broke came from another classroom. He wanted to slam himself why he was so careless. He felt relieved and whispered.

"That's good. I'm glad that monster didn't—----"

"Oh. I haven't checked this classroom. How about here?" Hearing Bloody, Philip covered his mouth immediately. Wasn't he stupid enough to talk out loud? He wondered. Bloody's footsteps got louder. Philip pressed his mouth hard, he didn't dare to speak anymore. The footsteps stopped. Bloody placed her hand on the door handle and tried to open the door. The handle didn't turn.

"Oh. It's locked. What should I do?" Bloody touched her cheeks, feeling bothered. Philip sighed, he was glad he locked the door. But Bloody lightened herself up.

"Well, no worries. My hands can pass through the door." She said, destroying Philip's hopes as if she could read his mind. Philip started to wonder whether the girl was playing with him. Perhaps she knew where he was hiding already in the first place. His heart beated faster, there was no place to escape.

The door was squeaking.

It was the sound of the door opening.

Philip closed his eyes and covered his head with his hands. He knew it was useless. But fear made his body respond. This would be the last day in his life.

The door opened. Someone walked in.

"Philip, why are you hiding at that corner?" a voice asked gently. It was not Bloody. Feeling shocked, Philip recognized the voice.

"......HUH?! K......Ke.........Kevin??!!" He pointed his finger and screamed. He opened his eyes and saw a young boy wearing a school uniform standing in front of him. He doubted his eyes. It was not the monster but his classmate! Philip tried to search around for the black hands and the girl but he found nothing. All he could see was Kevin standing there with a surprised face. Kevin seemed surprised why he was surprised.

"Kevin, why are you here?! Where are those black hands?" Philip cried.

"What black hands? I don't see any black hands." Kevin answered. He didn't seem to understand what Philip meant.

"What do you mean you didn't see them? They are just outside!!!"

"No, there isn't. I was just outside the classroom but I didn't see any black hands."

"NO! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! I SAW them in front of MY OWN EYES. They are just flying along the corridor! And the girl! She is chasing me and trying to kill me!!"

"Ha-ha! Philip, you must be dreaming. How can there be black hands in the world?" Kevin laughed at him.

"BUT THERE IS!! I swear I am not lying!" Philip insisted. Kevin reached out his hand to Philip and smiled.

"Ok. Ok. I think what you need is a cup of water. Come with me, you are on the missing list. I have been finding you for ages."

"Argh! Why don't you believe me?!!" Philip rushed ahead and grabbed Kevin's shoulder, pushing him front and back. "What I said is REAL!!! There is a creepy girl with numerous black hands on her body outside the classroom! I am going to be killed! Believe me, Kevin!!" He shook Kevin hard.

"Calm down, Philip. I believe in you." said Kevin. Philip's face lightened.

"Really? You do?" Philip asked in doubt and let go of Kevin's shoulders. He was glad that Kevin believed him but never thought he would change his attitude so soon.

"Yes, I believe in you......." He spoke softly and lowered his head, looking down on the floor. His hair covered up his eyes.

"...........which is why I'm surprised that you are so scared."

In a flash, a cold wind blew in from the windows. The room temperature dropped. Black handprints appeared on the walls suddenly and surrounded the room. Sounds of laughter rang into his ears, it was coming from the monster girl. Philip felt odd and gazed up at Kevin. He was smiling wickedly. His smile was the same as the girl he saw earlier.

"What's happeni—---?"

And behind him, there were a number of black hands floating in the air.

"KEVIN! BEHIND YOU! The black hands!" Philip warned. Kevin took a glance at the hands, they didn't seem to bother him.

"Ah, that? Yeah, I know." He slightly waved his hand and one of the black hands flew near him. He touched the black hand like a gentleman and whispered.

"Grab him."

Instant, the hand let go of Kevin and seized right at Philip's neck. It chutched his throat hard, touching his bones through the skin and smashed him into the walls, hitting the ground. The wall broke and spit into cracks.

"......cough......cough......" Philip choked and spat out some saliva. He touched his neck, the touch of the chilly black hand was still inside him. Eyes darken, he noticed his hand trembling. The shaking just won't stop. He was desperate to leave but his legs wouldn't burge. His mind went completely blank. He glared upwards, opening his mouth wide. Kevin gave him a cold stare.

"What should we do, Kevin?" A voice showed up. It was that creepy girl again. Bloody faded in the surroundings and emerged out of nowhere. She floated in the air and pushed the desks and chairs around with her black hands, making a path of horror and fright. She hugged Kevin's neck with both arms.

"How would you like me to torture him?" Bloody whispered, breathing near Kevin's ear. Redness appeared upon her cheeks, Philip's terrified face thrilled her nerves. She hugged Kevin more deeply and laid on his back, reaching out for his existence. The touch made her alive. She was quite enjoying herself, she had longed for this moment for ages.

"Come on. Tell me, Kevin. I can do anything." Bloody whispered again. Her sweet voice was luring him. She nodded her head, the black hands snatched Philip on his stomach and lifted him high up in the air, like a prisoner waiting for punishment. A sinner standing for repentance.

"......Argh! Yikes! These hands!!! LET GO OF ME!!!" Philip yelled. Kevin ignored the shouts and stared at Philip cold-bloodedly.

"Bloody. Punch him until he understands why we are punching him." He ordered.

"No problem." Bloody replied. She napped her finger, hundreds of black hands formed into fists and aimed at Philip.

"Wait......no....no.....DON'T COME OVER ME!!! LET ME GO!!" Philip screeched, his voice cracked open. Broaden her smile, Bloody ignored the screams and called her hands. One black arm swung out and smashed on his face, delivering pain. It was the first time Philip tasted being punched, sweat soaked in with fear extragging his pain. Before he could scream, another heavy punch hit on the other side of his cheeks. He spat out saliva. Philip looked at Kevin, hoping that he would stop. Yet, another black fist floated near his face. His nightmare continued.

".............stop it...stop it.....please stop! Why are you doing this to me?" Philip begged. Holding his pain, he managed to spit out some words.

"You should know why," said Kevin.

"Huh? What have I done?! I didn't do anything to you!"
