Paris, Mon Amour
SIGNED TO BE HIS
A month had passed, and everything between Jax and Grace was going better than either of them could have imagined. The concert in Paris was getting closer, and while it was exciting, they both had been keeping busy with rehearsals and preparations. They spent a lot of time together, laughing, talking, and just enjoying the moments they had now. Grace felt more comfortable than ever with Jax. He was no longer the arrogant rockstar she had first met; he was... just Jax, her Jax.
Today was the day. The day they would fly to Paris for the concert. Their first real "trip together," as Jax had called it.
Grace couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. Paris, one of the most romantic cities in the world, and she was going there with Jax. It felt surreal, but she was ready for whatever came next.
When they arrived at the airport, they were immediately surrounded by chaos. Fans spotted Jax from a distance, and before they knew it, the pair was swarmed. Security guards quickly moved in, forming a protective barrier around them, while the sound of camera shutters and excited chatter filled the air.
"Stay close," Jax murmured to Grace, his hand instinctively finding hers. She nodded, her heart racing, both from the adrenaline and the fact that they were about to fly to Paris together.
They made their way to the business class lounge, where the tension of the airport seemed to fade away. There were three bodyguards with them, making sure no one got too close. It was strange, the attention they received, but Grace was getting more used to it by the day.
As they settled into their seats in the exclusive lounge, Grace couldn't help but glance around at the other passengers, most of whom were either too busy with their own things or too stunned to look up. But she could still feel the stares, the whispers.
Jax leaned back in his seat, stretching his legs out in front of him. "This is going to be an interesting flight," he said, his voice low and playful.
Grace chuckled softly. "You're telling me. I've never seen so many people take pictures in one place."
Jax shrugged, a slight smirk on his lips. "You get used to it."
As the time passed, more fans came by to say hello and take pictures, each of them smiling brightly and holding out their phones. Grace smiled back, but it was clear she was still getting used to this new world she was in. Jax, on the other hand, was the picture of calm, even waving and posing for a few of the photos.
When it was finally time to board, Jax stood and offered Grace his hand. "Let's go. Paris awaits."
With a final wave to the crowd and a small smile, they boarded the plane, heading to Parisâthe city of lights, dreams, and now, their adventure together.
When they finally arrived in Paris, the car ride from the airport to the hotel was filled with excitement and the hum of anticipation. Grace couldn't help but gaze out of the window as Paris unfolded in front of herâwide boulevards, the Eiffel Tower in the distance, and the beautiful architecture that seemed to pulse with life. She'd seen pictures before, but nothing compared to being here in the moment.
Jax sat beside her, his hand resting casually on hers, but even he couldn't hide the little glint of excitement in his eyes. This was a big deal for him, for his band, and for their relationship. It felt like everything had been building to this.
As they approached the hotel, Grace's stomach fluttered again. She had expected Paris to be busy and chaotic, but the level of attention they were getting was on another level. Fans stood outside the grand hotel entrance, their phones raised high, snapping pictures of Jax and Grace. A few spotted them in the car, and the calls began.
"Jax! Grace! Over here!"
Grace tensed for a second, but Jax gave her hand a reassuring squeeze.
"Just follow my lead," he murmured with a grin.
The car came to a stop, and as soon as the doors opened, the fans' excitement reached a fever pitch. Bodyguards moved swiftly to ensure the path was clear as Jax stepped out first, followed by Grace. Flashing cameras surrounded them. The noise of the crowd made her ears ring slightly, but Jax's hand never left hers, guiding her through the chaos.
They moved inside the hotel, the lobby's elegant charm offering a welcome contrast to the frenzy outside. Grace let out a sigh of relief as the heavy doors closed behind them. The quiet was almost eerie after the constant buzz of attention.
"Alright, we made it," Jax said, giving her a sideways glance with a smile. "Welcome to Paris, Grace."
She chuckled, shaking her head as she looked around the lavish lobby. "This place is unreal."
Jax's smile softened. "It's all a bit overwhelming, isn't it? But don't worry, we'll take it one step at a time."
As they made their way to the elevator, Grace couldn't help but notice how effortlessly Jax navigated everythingâhis confidence, his calm demeanor. He was in his element, and yet, he made it look easy, even as they were being followed by a few lingering fans and paparazzi snapping shots.
When the elevator doors opened to their suite, it was like stepping into another worldâluxury, calm, and completely removed from the chaos just outside. The room was spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows giving a panoramic view of the city.
Grace stood there for a moment, taking it all in. "This is incredible."
Jax dropped his bag on the plush sofa and walked over to her. "You deserve it, Grace. All of it."
She turned to him, catching his gaze. The way he looked at her made her heart skip a beat. It wasn't the usual attention he gave; it felt differentâreal.
"Thanks for bringing me with you," she said, her voice softer than she intended.
Jax smiled, the edges of his lips curling up in that way that made her feel like everything in the world was just right. "I wouldn't have it any other way."
Before Grace could respond, there was a knock on the door. They both turned toward it, and Jax gave her a quick look before walking over to answer.
The door opened, Jax's band manager, Kate, with her usual confident stride. She gave Jax a quick hug, then turned to Grace.
"Grace, it's so good to finally meet you in person," Kate said warmly. "I've heard so much about you from Jax."
Grace smiled nervously. "Nice to meet you too."
Kate nodded, glancing between them with a knowing look. "Alright, well, we've got a lot to get through. Rehearsals are tomorrow, and you're going to be doing a bit of press today as well, Jax. We need to make sure everything goes smoothly."
Jax sighed but nodded. "Got it."
Kate's gaze shifted to Grace. "And I'm sure you're going to be right there cheering him on?"
Grace nodded quickly. "Absolutely."
"Well, good," Kate said, clearly pleased. "This is a big moment for him, and we want to make sure everything goes perfectly."
As Kate left them to settle in, Grace felt a rush of nerves. Everything was moving so fast. But Jax seemed completely unfazed, as though he had done this a million times. He walked over to the window, pulling the curtains aside.
"Welcome to our little slice of Paris," he said, gesturing out over the city. The lights of the Eiffel Tower twinkled in the distance.
Grace joined him at the window, feeling a weight lift from her chest as she took in the view. For a moment, it was just the two of themâno fans, no pressure, no expectationsâjust the quiet beauty of the city at night.
"So, what now?" she asked, turning to him.
Jax's eyes softened as he looked at her, and for a second, it felt like time slowed. "Now? Now, we just enjoy this. We've worked hard to get here, Grace. Let's take it all in."
Grace nodded, her heart racing as she stood there with him, the lights of Paris sparkling below them. This was the beginning of something real. And for the first time, Grace felt ready to embrace it all.
She was in Paris. With Jax. And for the first time in a long while, everything felt right.
