"Sure"
Sana Short Imagines
Y/N and Sana sat across from each other at a cozy restaurant, the soft glow of candlelight casting shadows on their faces. Y/N smiled warmly at Sana, handing her the menu. "Go ahead, pick whatever you want. My treat tonight."
Sana glanced over the menu, a faint smile playing on her lips. "Thanks, babe." She made her selection, and Y/N called over a waitress to take their order.
As the waitress jotted down their choices, she asked, "Will that be all for you two?"
Y/N nodded, but noticed Sana's distant expression. "Is everything okay, love? How was your day?"
Sana rolled her eyes, her tone clipped. "Fine."
Y/N furrowed their brows, concern evident in their voice. "You seem off. Did something happen?"
Sana shrugged, avoiding eye contact. "It's nothing."
Their food arrived, and Y/N wasted no time in helping Sana cut her steak, a gesture of affection. But Sana remained silent, her usual bubbly demeanor replaced by a somber mood.
Y/N finished her meal, feeling the weight of Sana's silence. "I'll get the bill," she offered, signaling for the waitress.
As Y/N paid, Sana abruptly stood up, leaving Y/N bewildered. "Sana, wait!" Y/N called out, hurrying after her.
Sana was already in the car when Y/N caught up, her expression unreadable. Y/N climbed in beside her, their heart heavy with unspoken words hanging between them.
As Y/N settled into the car beside Sana, she couldn't shake off the unease that lingered between them. "Sana, what's been going on? You've been acting so differently since we got to the restaurant," Y/N finally voiced her concern.
Sana let out a sigh, her gaze fixed on the dashboard. "Just check your pocket, okay?" she replied, her tone weary.
Confused, Y/N complied, reaching into her suit pocket and pulling out a folded piece of paper. She unfolded it, eyes widening at the number scrawled across it. "What's this?" Y/N asked, glancing at Sana.
"Ask the waitress," Sana muttered, her voice barely audible.
Realization dawned on Y/N, understanding flooding their features. "You thought I... I didn't even notice," she stammered, guilt washing over her.
Sana rolled her eyes, her frustration palpable. "Of course you didn't. You were too busy being all smiley," she retorted, her words tinged with bitterness.
"I'm sorry, Sana." Y/N pulled her girlfriend closer, wrapping her arms around Sana in a tight embrace.
Sana shook her head, her expression resigned. "We shouldn't come back here. The steak wasn't even good," she remarked, her voice tinged with disappointment.
Y/N cleared her throat, agreeing with Sana's assessment. "Yeah, it wasn't great," they replied, stumbling over their words.
Sana raised an eyebrow, skepticism evident in her gaze. "You finished your food, though," she pointed out, her tone laced with sarcasm.
Y/N shifted uncomfortably, offering a feeble excuse. "I didn't want to waste it. There are people out there who are hungry," she muttered sheepishly.
"Sure," Sana replied dryly, her skepticism lingering in the air.
