Chapter 566
Wolf President Hooks Up
Rylee earnestly nodded, âYes yes yes!â
âAre you sure you can tolerate it?â Timothy asked.
âTotally!â
âYou must not give up midway. Weâll sign a contract.â
âOkay, Iâll definitely sign!â Rylee kept shaking Timothyâs hand.
Timothy sighed, âActually I didnât intend for you to do this project because you donât have any experience...â
âMr. Wheeler, I beg you! I am willing to endure hardships. I have the stamina and I can persevere till its completion! I guarantee it!â Rylee raised her hand to make a vow.
Timothy felt rather dejected when Rylee's hand let go of his. He kinda... missed the feeling of her soft hand.
âOkay, since youâre so sincere...â
âOf course! Iâm very sincere! Extremely! Mr. Wheeler, what does that job entail?â Rylee was so excited and leaned towards Timothy.
Timothy looked down to pour the tea in order to hide his gaze, âMaid.â
âMaid?â That's unexpected.
âIs it like those household maids, washing clothes, doing chores, cooking and stuff?â
Timothy nodded, âBut you donât have to go every day. Youâd only need to go on the weekends.â
âWow, only eight days a month? Iâll get three thousand dollars for eight daysâ work?â Rylee was elated. She immediately rejoiced, âHo ho ho, this is great. I'd say, this employer is a fool, to pay so much money for so little work. Eight working days! What an idiot! Ha ha ha.â Rylee became hysterical with laughter.
After she settled down from her exhilaration, she realized that Timothy did not smile at all. She quickly composed herself, tidied her hair, and said, âIâm sorry Mr. Wheeler. Iâm just too happy to have landed this job.â
Timothy pursed his lips and thought, âHappy? You were practically jumping with joy!â
Rylee wrung her hands gleefully, âMr. Wheeler, when can I begin?â
âYouâll start this weekend,â Timothy said.
âOkay, okay. Oh yes, shouldnât I meet the employer first?â She asked, while laughing in her head.
That big idiot...
âHavenât you already met him?â Timothy replied.
âReally? Where?â Rylee looked around, and then finally came to realization. She pointed towards Timothy, fingers slightly trembling, and stammered, âAre... are you telling me... that itâs you? Really?â
Oh no... she would be fried if the employer was Mr. Wheeler. She just ridiculed her employer for being a fool. Rylee was dying to take a time machine back to a few minutes ago, where she would spare no efforts to praise the employer.
Timothyâs fingers were tapping the table. He hissed, âBased on what you said, I was wondering if I should increase the working days and reduce the salary...â
Rylee yelled with her eyes wide open, âPlease donât!â Perhaps she was emboldened by the need for money that she quickly lunged forward and hugged his arm as she said regretfully, âPlease donât, Mr. Wheeler, please donât do that. I made a mistake. What I said was all nonsense. Please!â
Rylee begged. She wasn't aware that Joseph Hans once said something similar to cheer her up.
Timothy chuckled secretly. It felt good when this little girl hugged him like that.
Clunk, the door opened and startled Rylee.
Armand was also startled and wondered if he had made a mistake by going into the room. He mumbled, eyes wide open, "Boss, the food is ready.
Shall we serve the dishes?â
Jesus Christ! He was praying in his heart that he hadn't interrupted his boss, or he would be a dead meat. It was his turn to take the time machine...
Rylee was stunned for a couple of seconds before coming to her senses and let go of Timothy. She blushed.
...
Damn, to think that she was so desperate for a salary of three thousand dollars that she resorted to this.
Timothy stayed calmly and said, âServe the dishes.â
âThen shall we throw away these desserts?â That was the way his boss ate. He would take a few of each dish and then throw away the rest.
âOh no! Donât!â Rylee stopped him. âWhy throw them away? What a waste! You tried one just now. Itâs delicious, right, Mr. Wheeler? Donât throw the rest away.â
âHuh?â Armand was flabbergasted. Did his boss eat dessert? Since when did he grow fond of sweets?
Armand gave Timothy a strange look. It was obvious that Timothy felt embarrassed, He frowned. âJust pack it up and give it to this girl. She likes them.â
âYes,â Armand answered and quickly left.
He heaved a sigh of relief as if he had just dodged a bullet. He then laughed and whistled, âAlas... Miracles happen. Boss ate dessert!â
Thereafter, his expression turned stern and shouted to the servants, âServe the dishes! What are you waiting for?â
Kenneth ate a few mouthfuls to deal with the occasion. His phone calls to Timothy went unanswered so he called Armand and asked, âWhere are you?â
Armand was busy inspecting the dishes and said, âSummit House Restaurant.â
âWhat? Didnât you guys go overseas for business?â Kenneth was driving and turned the car towards the direction of the restaurant.
âOverseas? Why did we need to go overseas for a business trip?â
âBoss did not participate in such a big project surely because he had more important things to deal with. If not for a business trip, then he must have gone overseas to discuss some cross-border cooperation. Right?â
Kenneth drove his car in the same reckless way. But ever since the incident with the Bugatti, he had to watch out for the pedestrians on the road.
âWhat? No. We did not go overseas.â Armand replied.
Kenneth frowned and muttered to himself, âWhat? Then what is he busy with?â
Armand did not know how to answer and said, âDonât ask me, Iâm not sure. Ask boss by yourself.â Armand hung up the call thereafter.
Kenneth's forehead puckered and he mumbled to himself, âWhat's so mysterious that he need to keep it from me. Iâll find out for myself if he won't tell.
I want to see what he is doing at Summit House that makes him leave such a big business behind .â
Soon, Kenneth reached the restaurant and saw that there was only one car. He blew a whistle. âWow, he booked the entire place? Who did he spend all this money for?â
A few of the men ran over to Kenneth, bowed respectfully, and greeted, âMr. Keith!â
Kenneth nodded and then asked, âHey, you, did Boss book the entire place?â
One of the men nodded, âYes Mr. Keith. Boss did not let anyone enter as he wanted some peace and tranquility.â
âTypical him. Let me see who is worthy of this unique treatment.â
Kenneth entered and saw the frightened bird. He shouted angrily, âJoel! How dare you neglect Bossâs pet bird? Canât you see that the bird is sick?
Call the best vet to look after it!â
Joel ran out and replied, âYou're here, Mr. Keith.â
âTake a good look at this bird. Is it sick? Get a vet here quickly.â
Joel didn't look worried at all. He chuckled, âNo need a vet. It is not sick. It is just upset.â
âWhat?â Kenneth raise his eyebrows at Joel and poked him in the chest, âYou high school drop-out, how dare you try to fool me? How can a bird be upset? What do you take me for?â
Joel hasted to explain himself, âMr. Keith, I dare not fool you! Never! Iâm speaking the truth. This bird is upset. Today Boss came with a young lady and she was very naughty. She almost shook the bird to death. Boss did not even stop her and let her do whatever she wanted to the bird. The bird lost out to this girl and must be depressed now.â
âWhat? Boss? He brought a girl?â Kenneth was even more shocked. âWho did he bring?â
âDonât know. She looked young, perhaps eighteen or something. Perhaps sheâs his niece or someone related.â
Kenneth nodded, âOh, that could be the reason. Iâll go in and talk to them.â
Kenneth swaggered in, pushed open the door, and then smiled, âWhich relative came?â
His smile froze when he entered the room.
âLittle chit?â Kenneth glared. She was the gal who damaged his Bugatti!

Rylee turned to looked at Kenneth, âOh, itâs you? Why do you keep calling me little chit? I don't cheat! No!â Rylee pouted, not so happy to see Kenneth.
Kenneth looked at the spread of exquisite dishes and then at the sulky Timothy. He instantly realized that he had stumbled into something he should not have. He should not have left! The bossâs eyes were already shooting daggers!
Kenneth quickly let out a dry laugh, âHey, Iâm sorry, I heard Joel say that there was a girl here who perhaps was your niece. All I wanted to do was to greet your relative and get to know her...â
