It's been two days since Naira came back home and kartik flew to Italy.

NAIRA

" Now spit out. What's going on? " I demanded with my hand resting on my waist glaring at Aditi.

I just accidentally caught the sneaky little mouse !

" Naira ... I " she looked at Arjun who stood beside her.

" We love each other. " Arjun held her hands and she nodded not meeting my eyes.

Gotcha!! I knew there was something!

" I need to talk to you alone Aditi. " Arjun gave a reassuring nod at her after which we went to the balcony.

" Aditi are you sure about this? " I asked concern laced in my words.

" Initially I wasn't. Arjun proposed me a week before you went on the trip. It was out of the blue and I needed time to think. I know he is hot and a good guy and all that but I wasn't sure about what I was feeling. I didn't want to give him any false hopes. But then a lot of things happened in the past few days that made me realise. " she smiled remembering something.

" Being with him felt different.... I felt special. Without even knowing I started liking his presence around me. I like the way he talks and flirts, the way he notices, cares and appreciates the little things concerning me, everything. Yeah he loves to irritate me but I can handle that. " She chuckled. " And .... "

I smiled as she kept describing how she felt about him and their relationship. The way she described was enough to tell that she was really happy and pretty confident about them.

" His one smile is enough to lit up my world. I am no longer confused Naira. I love him and I am willing to give us a chance, to know where this leads us to." She concluded.

"Well then Let's have a word with your boyfriend. Come on! " We came inside to see Arjun impatiently tapping his feet. Upon seeing us he rose from the couch and walked up to us.

" Does Dhruv know? " I asked them.

" Yes. He agreed after giving a Private lecture to Arjun. " She facepalmed.

" For record, ending it with a threat of breaking my bones if I hurt his little sis! " he added making me giggle.

When it comes to matters concerning Aditi, Dhruv becomes this over protective brother.

" So mister, you are ready to tolerate her throughout your life. " I questioned playful.

" Let me think.... " He made a thinking face to earn a dangerous glare from his girlfriend.

" Gladly ! " He pulled her in a hug laughing.

" Well then that's your fate, my best wishes! " I heaved a dramatic sigh while Aditi turned her head in fake anger.

" I can't tell you how happy I am for you both " we quickly got in for a trio hug.

" sorry we should have told you before but we didn't want to disturb you both. We were about to tell you... " Arjun spoke.

" That's okay. You can compensate by getting me my favorite cheesecake. "

" Right away. " Replying Arjun kissed her cheek grabbing her by waist.

" woah! Get a room guys! " saying I left the love birds alone.

Me: Reached Hotel?

Him: yes 15 mins ago

Me: Cool. Had dinner?

Him: not yet. You?

Me: about to. We are planning a movie night.

Him: Without me!

Me: yeah. A horror one. LoL!

The billionaire is scared oh horror films!

Him: 😏

Him: how was your day?

Me: Boring, nothing much

Him: missed me?

I do... Kind of yeah

Me: 😏 In your dreams.

Him: of kissing your lips !

My cheeks burned at his text.

" You guys Kissed !! " Aditi exclaimed. Hearing which Dhruv and Arjun had shock written all over their faces.

" Aditi!! " I snatched my phone from her and quickly replied a good night and hid it under the pillow.

It was 9 at night when I was in the living room along with Aditi and the boys Dhruv, Arjun and Rudy. It was supposed to be a movie night but not anymore.

What was the need to send such a flirty message right now when I am surrounded by my crazy friend.

" Why would you shout like that Idiot! " I scolded her.

" You don't expect me to keep quite after knowing my bestie had her first kiss ! " She gave back.

That's exactly when Rudy entered the room with 2 large pizza boxes and a bottle of coke.

Oh no!

" You guys haven't kissed before?? " He eyed me suspiciously as he placed the eatables on the table.

" We-I.... Rudy... That" I stuttered.

Rudra doesn't know about us and the whole wedding deal. Or that's what I thought!

" I know. " My eyes widened.

" You know! " He hummed as he sat before me.

" Brother told me the day before you both flew to Swiss. "

" I am sorry Rudy. " Somewhere I felt guilty.

" Honestly I wasn't expecting this from him but I also know he wouldn't do anything that hurts the family or you. There must be a big reason behind him taking such a decision. " He just smiled and gave me a bear hug.

" Still I should have told you. " I whispered.

" Well Yeah you should have, beautiful. Then by now I would have taken you for a date and made you my girl instead ! " He pouted earning a playful slap from Arjun. I couldn't help but chuckle at Rudy.

oh Boy, He will never change.

" But honestly I am glad you came in his life. I have never seen my brother this carefree and jovial before. He was always this ' workaholic businessman'. " Rudy quoted his in complain.

" That's true. " Arjun nodded.

Does my presence really affect his life?

" Well, Cheers to my besties first kiss! " Aditi raised her glass of coke and so did the other two.

" Will you stop embarrassing me? " They chuckled.

" Someone's all blushy blushy! " Arjun teased making my cheeks go pink remembering the night I had my first kiss with Kartik.

I looked at Dhruv who was staring at me blankly but I could see a tint of sadness and..... guilt.

Is something wrong?

He just blinked his eyes and gave me a smile.

Maybe I am just imagining things.

" So when are you telling him? " Aditi asked.

" Telling what? " I asked perplexed.

" Obviously about What you feel!" Rudy replied in a duh tone.

" What do I feel? " I asked clueless about where the conversation was leading to.

All three face palmed in unison while I looked at Dhruv who just shrugged his shoulder, not really involved in the on-going talk.

Suddenly all three talked in whispers amongst themselves.

" Guys! What is it? " they turned towards me.

" Don't panic! It's nothing worse. It happens with everyone. " Arjun assured.

" Why are you all acting weird. Is something wrong? "

" Naira relax. Take a deep breath.... In and out. " Rudy instructed.

Oh no... Did I screw up something?

I don't remember what I did.

" you are ....."

" I am.... What? " I pushed him to speak.

" in love. "

I sighed in relief, " That's it. I thought it was something - " I stopped mid sentence.

" W-wait... What did you s-say? " All three laughed looking at one another.

" You are in love!! " Their voices echoed in the air.

I am in love?!

No ... No... This isn't true.

" N-no.... It's nothing like that... We are just fr... "

" for godsake, You aren't my friend. Friends don't kiss!

I don't know Okay and I don't care! whatever this is, i-it's beautiful and pure. All that I know is you are important to me and I don't want to lose you. "

We aren't just friends. We are more than that.

"H- How can you say that? I- I don't feel anything like that. " I denied.

" Oh really. " They smirked at the same time.

Why do I feel like they are planning something evil?

" Just the way you are glowing after the trip is enough to say but we can still prove it. " Saying they started listing out one after one.

" Yesterday, you stayed pissed off the entire day. But when you recieved his call, the next instant your mood took a 180° turn. " Rudy stated.

" You couldn't stop blushing while talking about him and for the record, past 2 days all you mostly talked was about him. " I rolled my eyes at Aditi.

" Your recent playlist has Kartik's Favourite songs. " Arjun pointed out.

" T-that wasn't intentional! " I justified.

" Love happens subconsciously babes! " Aditi winked at me.

" We can say a lot more but why waste time when we can directly call your Husband now. "

For what? Is he crazy!

" Wait why... No Rudy! " Before I could stop him the call had already been connected.

" Hello. " That voice made my heart skip a beat like everytime.

I closed my mouth with my palms, shaking my head furiously in a no.

I am gonna cry.

" Hey bro, I just thought of telling you....umm... Naira " Rudy dragged.

" What's with Naira? " Kartik questioned from the other side.

I pleaded with my eyes to keep quiet.

" She.... Um... Isn't feeling kind of great. "

" What's wrong? She was fine in the evening when I spoke with her. "

" She's feeling slightly dizzy, her face looks flushed and her heart rate is drastically high, like she would faint any minute." That's exactly how I feel god damnit!

" then why the hell are you calling me instead of taking her to a doctor! " Kartik yelled, the concern and worry in his voice evident.

" she is better now. The doctors just came around but they said this has got nothing to do with her health. It's kind of some internal imbalance you know... Umm the heart and hormones! " He replied. I could see all three trying to supress their laughter.

Get ready to die in my hands!

" what are you blabbering Rudy? Is she around. Give her the phone! " I shook my head.

" Yea. Just a second. " He gestured me to speak.

A big No.

I ran to my room and sat on the bed. My heart still racing like I just ran a Marathon.

What's happening with me.

No no... I don't love him... Didn't we just agree on being friends. I shouldn't have let him kiss me.

It's my fault!

But it felt so right.

The memories of these 2 months flashed before my eyes and my lips curved into a smile automatically.

Aditi's words struck me,

" His one smile is enough to lit up my world."

The line now makes so much sense.

Every time his smile reached his hypnotizing hazel eyes, I wish to do everything I possible could to see that all day.

I find myself melting like snow under his touch, craving to wake up in his arms, kissed to good night.

I should have realised that very moment when I found it difficult to describe in words, How he makes me feel, what he means to me.

How ignorant was I, to overlook the fact that I never felt so loved after mom and dad's death.

" All this can mean only one thing babes.... " Aditi and the boys stood at my door.

I think I am falling for you cause everything feels new tonight.

" I love him! " Words left my lips and the ecstasy felt like a caged Bird had found its wings to fly home.

My heart, has finally found it's home.
