" This is the most memorable night ever! I wish this night never ends. " Kartik said as we sat in the backyard swing hands intertwined, after returning from the party.

" I wish too but now you need to sleep. You have been travelling continuously. " he pouted.

" I am not tired. Can't we just be like this for some more time? Please ".

" We have an entire lifetime ahead. " I pecked his cheeks," now come on!"

Saying I got up and went inside followed by him. I entered my room and my eyes widened in shock.

Where the heck are my clothes!!!

Has someone looted all my stuffs.

" Kartikk !! There's been a theft in the house. Let's call the pol... " I rushed into the room to find him lazily sprawled on his bed.

He was still in his party wear but the suit was off and his shirt sleeves rolled till elbow. The top three buttons were open, giving me a glimpse of his hard chest.

He looks so hot!!

Naira concentrate....

Oh yeah... Yes.

" Do you really think I'll have such a huge house unguarded? " He sat on his bed.

Makes sense. Then where are my belongings?

I frowned and looked around, " you- this is for real ? " he chuckled and pulled me, making me land on his lap.

" I thought When the hearts have become one, what's the deal with the rooms. " he tucked a strand of hair behind my ears.

" Henceforth this is our room. "

" What about your privacy.? " I teased him.

" My wife being with me doesn't intrude my privacy. Got it! " I giggled.

"I don't want even the slightest distance between us Naira. I just want to be with you, forever. " He said stroking my thumb with his.

Dipping his head in the crook of my neck, he planted a trail of sweet kisses slowly moving from my collarbone to my bare shoulder.

" You are so beautiful! "

A moan left my lips when he kissed a sensitive spot beneath my ear that I never knew existed. My heart picked up speed at the touch of his.

One of his hand held my waist securely while the other smoothly dived into the side slit of my dress. His fingers drew slow comforting circles along my mid thigh.

" K-kar-rtik... " he hummed in response.

I started to twitch in his lap feeling a slight discomfort. The next moment his kisses came to halt and he withdrew his hands from my body.

" You don't want it? " He managed to ask with a neutral face.

" No! it's not like that. "

" Then what's wrong? " He asked concerned.

" I- I... Just.... I haven't done this before. " I whispered the last part dropping my head in embarrassment.

" Of course we haven't. " He said with a confused face.

" not us! I haven't done this before with anyone."

" You are a virgin? " He exclaimed loudly. I nodded biting the insides of my cheek.

Getting down his lap, I couldn't help the dejected look my face wore. A sense of insecurity hit me.

I should have thought it earlier, he must have seen better women and probably wants to do nothing with an amateur like me.

" Sorry I didn't mean that! Don't get me wrong. I was just shocked, I thought the virgin species vanished after the introduction of contraceptives. " he ruffled his hair.

"Naira, There's nothing to be embarrassed about. " I refused to look up as I sat on the edge of the bed.

He got down kneeling before me, cupping my face. " I want you and only you, have no doubt about it. I am more than happy to share your firsts, I promise to make it a special one. " he placed a kiss on my forehead.

This man never stops giving me reasons to admire him.

How did I get so lucky.

" You change, I will refresh in the other room. " Saying he left the room carrying his nightwear along.

After quickly changing into one of my PJ's and getting rid of my make-up, I got into the master bed. He entered the room after a couple of minutes.

I opened my arms for him. He smiled and got into the bed. Switching of the lights, he gathered me in his arms, pulling a duvet above us.

" I missed you. " I said.

" I missed you more baby." I snuggled into his chest.

Paradise.

After a week,

I was returning home after the site visit. The foundation of the resort has been made strong and the building is taking it's shape. Probably in another 2 months the resort building structure will be fully built, leaving room to concentrate on the fancy exteriors and interior decorations.

My Phone buzzed and I smiled at the caller id, Jason.

" Hey nomad, what's up. " I teased him.

" Sunshine where are you? I have someone I would like you to meet. " He said excited.

" Who's that? "

" Do you remember my cousin brother I always speak about? " He asked.

Jason has only one cousin from his paternal side who stood by him all through his struggles. He was the one who got Jason admitted in our college. Jason is too fond of him for basically his cousin brother is the only family member he has got.

" Ofcourse, didn't you mention he left the country couple of yrs ago? "

" Yes. But he is back now for a business deal. He will be staying her for one more week, I want you to meet him before he leaves. God knows when he will return then. " The last part came as a complaint.

" Okay then, let's meet up for lunch? " I suggested.

" Perfect! I will share the location. See you in an hour. " Saying he ended the call.

I entered the restaurant and looked around to see Jason waving at me. I smiled and waved back as I walked towards him. He rose from his seat to give me a hug.

" Sunshine, meet my brother... " I was bewildered to see the man before me.

" Ms. Basu! Nice to meet you. Again. " He chuckled.

" Mr. Andrews? "

" Ms. Basu, Just Robert please. " I smiled.

" Then it's Naira for you. " We settled in our seats.

" Wait Do you guys know each other already? " Asked a confused Jason.

Robert explained our first meet to Jason after which we had our lunch exchanging talks. I got to know that Mr. Andrews, who once had a huge real estate business of his own, went bankrupt after he lost his wife a couple of years ago.

He had to leave the country and struggled for six months, barely managed to make his ends meet doing small jobs. Fortunately he got a job of assistant manager in a reputed company and Now he has grown to become it's head manager with a handsome paycheck.

He has come back to represent the company for a business meeting.

When he talked about his wife, the pain in his voice was evident but so was his love for her.

" 'I will keep loving you' was her final words to me, she promised to love me even after her death. Death may have taken her away from me, but not our love. I can never stop loving her. " he said with a sad smile that tugged my heart.

" She must be very proud of you. " I gave him a comforting smile.

" That she will be ! " Jason patted his brother's shoulder.

Curiosity got me better, " If I may ask, what's her name? "

Before he could reply, his phone rang. " that's my daughter. Sorry Naira but I got to go. "

" Yea sure, take care. Jason you should go with him." I suggested. He nodded and we left the restaurant.

" Next time I wish to meet your daughter. " I said to Robert.

" Sure thing! " He showed me a thumbs-up as we said our goodbyes.

KARTIK

" Sir, Mr. Dixit is waiting for ..... " Before my PA, Tina could finish, Dhruv barged into my cabin.

" Thanks Tina, you may go now. " nodding she left while I turned my attention to Dhruv as he threw a document at my desk.

" Dhruv listen... " He cut me off harshly.

" I agreed to your deal helplessly, but that doesn't mean I'll sit back and watch you break her heart! "

" I Love her Dhruv!! " I snapped back with finality and he fell silent.

" I would never do anything that will hurt her! Why can't you just trust me?" He sighed.

" I do believe you Kartik. I just hope there never comes a day I'll regret doing this. "

" I am doing this to protect her and you know that. " I said.

" Then why don't you just tell her everything. " he insisted.

" I can't. " came my voice in a whisper.

He shook his head defeated and in a sympathetic tone said, " I hope you don't end up losing her in this process of protecting her. "

I watched him walk out of my cabin.

My eyes ran over the legal document that held Naira's signature.

A smile crept on my lips.

This time it was Naira Oberoi.
