As soon as we left the car people immediately started to stare.

River placed his hand on my lower back and guided me to the front of the school.

"It's okay Taliah. Just breathe I'm right here." River whispers in my ear.

Even with heels on he still had to bend down to reach my ear.

I nodded and we continued to walk to our class.

The whole day I didn't see any of my brothers.

I didn't get any texts or calls. How weird.

River said he wanted to take me somewhere so after school we were back to his house to change into more comfortable clothes.

Unfortunately, my feet were killing me. I'm not wearing heels for a long time.

Once we were in the car I kicked my shoes off and started to rub my achy feet.

"The heels?" River questioned.

"Yep, they make my feet hurt so bad." I groaned.

"Let me see," River said

"What?" I asked while chuckling.

"Let me rub your feet Taliah." He responded.

I hesitantly turned my back to the door and put my feet on his lap.

He immediately started to rub my feet and the pain slowly subsided.

Sooner or later I fell asleep.

"Taliah, wake up we're here." A voice woke me from my nap.

"Hmm?" I furred my eyebrows.

I opened my eyes and was met with Rivers beaming smile.

"Afternoon sleepy head." He teased

"What time is it?" I asked still sleepy.

"5 pm," River answered.

"Five- five o'clock?! We get out of school at three. You let me sleep for two hours?." I questioned.

"Yes, you were tired. Plus you are cute when you sleep." He smiled.

I blushed and failed to hide it since my back was still against the door and my feet were still in River's lap.

"Well, can we change? I want to see what you had planned." I said while starting to get excited.

"Sure, let's go." He responded.

We got out of the car and went to Rivers's room to get dressed.

I never really thought about it but is it weird that I slept in his room?

Do friends do that?

"What should I wear?" I questioned while he was in the bathroom.

"Anything you want." He replied.

"Well, that didn't help me," I grumbled.

I saw him walk out in black joggers and a matching black hoodie with the words ice cream on it.

The same one he wore when I woke up in the nurse's office that day.

"Hey, what does that mean?" I pointed to the words on his chest.

"Oh, that's Leo's saying. 'Ice cream fixes everything.' When he was 8 he broke his arm after he got his cast on he said ice cream would make the pain go away." He explained.

"Well did it?" I asked.

"Nope." He replied smiling.

I smiled back at him and started staring at the outfit I chose.

"Should I wear this?" I asked holding up the clothes to my body.

"Yeah, I think you'll look great in that." He replied while smiling.

"K" I tried to hide my blush by running to the bathroom.

Once I was changed I walked out and did a little stain for River.

"You look stunning." He smiled while he continuously looked at me from head to toe.

I looked down at what I was wearing.

It was cropped black Nike hoodie and some black leggings.

"Really? I think I look plain. I should change-" I rambled.

River got up and gripped my waist.

"No. Stop overthink. You look gorgeous." He reassured me.

"Thank you." I blushed.

We left the house only to pull up to a Build-a-Bear.

"We're getting stuffies!!" I squealed.

River chuckled as I quickly hopped out of his car.

I grabbed his hand and ran to the door of the shop.

"Oh my gosh! I've never been here before. I've only ever heard about it." I gushed.

"I've never been either. I guess it was just meant to be." River replied.

"Oh, my goodness. They have Stich and Angel! Can we get matching ones? I'll make yours and you can make mine." I said happily.

I shoved the Angel stuffie in his arms and two workers helped us.

"What would you like your message to say?" The worker asked.

"You are a million good things put into one just for me," I say as I try not to blush.

"Are you both a couple?" The girl asks teasingly as she puts the message inside and adds stuffing.

"No, we're best friends," I respond.

"It doesn't look like it. If my best friend looked at me like that I don't know what I would do." She smiles.

"And how does he look at me?" I asked

"Like he wants something more than a friendship." She smiles and shakes her head.

River like me? Yeah like that'll ever happen.

I finished with her and went to the computer to name the bear.

I went with Stich obviously.

I finished his certificate and kissed the bear's nose and went to River.

"Are you done yet?" I asked excitedly.

"Yes, do you want clothes for them?" He asked.

"No thanks." I smiled.

We went to the register to pay and she gave us boxes to put sour bears and certificates in.

Once we got to the car I pulled out my Angel bear and pressed the button inside.

"Vous m'aimiez même si je pensais que je n'en étais pas digne." He deep voice said.

"What? Did I have to specify English? Not- Italian or something." I huffed.

"It's French my love." He said as my face immediately started to flush.

When we got home we changed into our pajamas and laid in bed.

"Thank you for today. Even if I didn't understand what you said" I chuckled.

"You're welcome. I enjoyed myself. I can't wait to make more memories." He said as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"How old are you?" I blurted randomly.

"I'm turning 18 soon." He replied.

"I'm turning 16 soon," I said

"What did the recording mean?" I asked while yawing.

"Don't worry about that. Sleep well, sweet girl."

The last thing on my mind is what bothered me.

I think I'm falling for my best friend.

Helllloooooo. I go back to school next Monday!🥲 that means I probably won't post as often. Hopefully I can get on a schedule and balance everything out. I don't want to be stressed this year. QOTD: What was the last text you received or sent? Me? Last one I recived said "Lettuce?" Hehe. Okay it's almost 2 am.... Don't forget to VCF!
