Chapter 43
The Educator
After Elliot and I finish signing the adoption papers, we head to the mall together our new family member, Sandy. We went straight to the vet at the mall to have Sandy groomed and after, to we asked the doctors to give Sandy his shots. We started going around the mall to search for additional furniture for the house and shop for some home essentials. We then headed back home after a couple of hours. Sand was very pleased with the house. He was an energetic pup. We looked at the staircase that led to our room. Elliot was carrying his things and looked down to say, âYou canât climb up the stairs?â
I roll my eyes and carry Sandy, âNo, of course he canâtâ I walk up ahead of Elliot. We bout a loft of stuff for Sandy. As new fur parents, we want to make sure that he grows up a happy pup. The vet advised to give Sandy a bath two weeks from the day he was given his series of shots. The vet gave us a list of vitamins and dops to keep the tick away. We place Sandyâs things on the floor on my side. We bought toys, a couple of treats and of course a large bed. Sandyâs breed will grow really big based on his breed. I place Sandy on the floor while Elliot and I start fixing his things.
âOkay, two meals a day with a cup of warm brothâ I say as I look at the instructions on the sheet that the doctor gave.
âFirst bath after two weeksâ Elliot says behind me. We started transferring Sandyâs food on a clear air tight container.
âWE need visit the vet again after a month ... okay, vitamins every morning before the first meal of the day .... Morning walks ... potty trainingâ I murmur to myself.
âI wake up early, I could take him out for walks and give him vitaminsâ he says âIâll be responsible to walk him in the eveningâ I tell him. Elliot smiles at me while he starts setting up Sandyâs pen.
âMaybe we can train Sandy to go up and down the stairs? Letâs use his ball or treatsâ Elliot says.
My eyes brighten, âThatâs a really good idea. Oh, this weekend maybe we can walk him around the city? Weâll just let him wear diapersâ
Elliot nods, âOkay, anything you wantâ he says. Elliot seemed like he was having a hard time assembling the pen. I took over and it was done on less than five minutes.
Elliot sighed, âWowâ
I laughed, âWell, I mean itâs a pen, Elliotâ
Sandy then started drinking water and then we decided to feed Sandy. I was starting to get hungry as well. Elliot stood up and took his phone in his hands. âYou craving anything?â
I raised a brow, âWe went grocery shopping. Why are you going to order out?â
The Educator ï¤Chapter 42: 42 âThe chefs wonât be starting âtill this coming Monday.â He reasons out âI can cook, you know that right?â
âBut youâre tired so I just thought we could order outâ Elliot says. I giggle. I walk past Elliot and start working on our dinner downstairs.
