Jack Frost X Gender Neutral Reader

Tittle: We stick together

The moon hung high above, its silvery light casting an ethereal glow over the battlefield of shadows and frost. Pitch Black’s nightmares roamed freely, their dark forms twisting and writhing as they surrounded the group of terrified children huddled near a broken fence. The air crackled with tension, the oppressive darkness threatening to swallow everything whole.

You stood your ground, a fierce determination burning in your chest. Jack Frost was at your side, his staff glowing faintly with icy power, but even he looked weary. This fight had been going on for what felt like hours, and Pitch was relentless, his mocking laughter echoing through the clearing.

“Give up, Frost,” Pitch taunted, his voice a silken sneer. “You can’t win. Not this time.”

Jack’s grip on his staff tightened, but before he could retort, you stepped forward, positioning yourself between him and the oncoming nightmares. “You’re wrong,” you said firmly, your voice steady despite the fear gnawing at the edges of your resolve. “Jack doesn’t stand alone.”

Pitch’s golden eyes narrowed, his expression darkening. “How touching. But bravery won’t save you.”

“Maybe not,” you replied, a hint of a smile tugging at your lips. “But it might buy enough time.”

With a burst of energy, you turned to the children. “Run! Now!” you shouted, your voice cutting through the chaos. The kids hesitated for only a moment before scrambling toward the path that led to safety, their frightened cries fading into the distance.

Pitch snarled, his shadows surging forward in an attempt to stop them. You stepped into their path, raising your hands as a bright, shimmering light emanated from your palms. It was a power you didn’t fully understand, but in this moment, it didn’t matter. The light clashed with the nightmares, forcing them back and giving the children the precious seconds they needed to escape.

Behind you, Jack stared in awe, his exhaustion momentarily forgotten. “How…?” he began, but there was no time for questions. Pitch’s fury was palpable, and his focus shifted entirely to you.

“You’ll regret that,” Pitch hissed, his form blending seamlessly with the shadows as he lunged toward you. Before you could react, Jack was there, his staff intercepting Pitch’s attack with a burst of icy power.

“Not on my watch,” Jack growled, his usual playful demeanor replaced with fierce protectiveness.

The battle escalated, the air thick with frost and shadow. You fought side by side with Jack, your newfound light weaving through his icy blasts to create a dazzling display of power. Despite your combined efforts, Pitch’s strength was overwhelming, and in a desperate move, he managed to knock Jack to the ground, his staff skidding out of reach.

“Jack!” you cried, rushing to his side. He groaned, trying to push himself up, but Pitch’s shadows loomed closer, ready to deliver the final blow.

Without thinking, you stepped in front of Jack, your light flaring brighter than ever. The shadows recoiled, but you knew it wouldn’t hold for long. Turning, you knelt beside him, your hand cupping his cheek. “Stay with me, Jack,” you whispered, your voice trembling with emotion.

His eyes met yours, filled with both pain and determination. “I… I can’t let him win,” he murmured, his voice barely audible.

“You won’t,” you promised, leaning closer. “We won’t.”

And then, before you could lose your nerve, you pressed your lips to his. The kiss was brief but charged with a depth of emotion that took even you by surprise. When you pulled away, Jack’s eyes were wide, a faint blush coloring his pale cheeks. But more importantly, the icy glow of his staff suddenly reignited, brighter and stronger than before.

“Let’s finish this,” he said, his voice steady as he reached for his staff. Together, you turned to face Pitch, the combined force of frost and light driving him back until his form dissolved into the shadows, retreating into the night.

As the clearing fell silent, you and Jack stood amidst the fading remnants of the battle, your breaths coming in ragged gasps. He turned to you, his expression softening as he reached out to take your hand.

“You saved me,” he said quietly, his thumb brushing over your knuckles.

“We saved each other,” you corrected, a small smile playing on your lips.

Jack chuckled, his usual playfulness returning as he pulled you into a warm embrace. “You’re incredible, you know that?”

“So are you,” you replied, resting your head against his shoulder. The moon’s light bathed you both, a silent witness to the bond that had been forged in the heat of battle. And as the night stretched on, you knew that together, there was nothing you couldn’t face.
