i just got to nyc and i turned my phone off so nobody would call me

i stopped sharing locations with everybody so they wont come looking for me

i came to nyc bc this is where my mother had me im not originally frm chicago.

we moved when i was younger but i stayed in touch with one or two ppl from up here

i was staying in my old house which my mother owned but never sold it for some reasons iont know

present day

i was asleep in my old room and i just felt helpless like i had no meaning

i love this girl and i promised to be nothing but good to her and here i am hurting her

this shit hurt fr but me leaving hurt her more so idk what im gone do

i got up and took a shower and i was gone go back to my old block maybe they'll remember me

i walked out to my car as i started to drive down the street towards my old block

as I pulled up I seen Cardier

he was younger than me but he looked about 20 like damn

i got out the car as i walked up he started at me for a while then spoke "jour?" cardier said in a questioning tone

"wsg cardier" i said as he got up and dapped me up "my nigga how old are you" i said "17" he responded

"young old ass" i chuckled

"wyd down here man" he said

"nun" i replied cause iont know if he one of those.

"i was just stopping by tho shiid imma be in town for about two more days anyway u got my number doe" i said dapping him up before walking to my car

i decided to power my phone on once i got home since he was supposedly calling me.

i drove to the house and as soon as i arrived i was met with the same empty driveway wishing that serenity would soon come

i walked into the house as i went to take a shower then lay down alone again to fall asleep

"where is she" i said as i talked to serenity's mother

"the bitch is upstairs" she slurred

i walked up the stairs hoping that the loud thump i heard come from upstair

as i turned the corner there laid serenity foaming at the mouth pills scattered across the floor

I immediately sat with her and grabbed her as i called 911

"yea uhm my girlfriend overdosed" i said

"the address please sir"

"5543 Hathoway Street"

"we'll be right there sir try to calm down"

i dropped my phone after hanging up i cradled her

"ren don't leave me i-i love you i need you" i said lowly as a stray tear flowed down my face i quickly wiped it

she soon stopped foaming at the mouth but her eyes were now white

i could see and feel her body shaking a little bit as i held her

the ambulance finally got here as they came to get her i was allowed to ride in the truck with them

i woke up sweating and shaking as i looked down onto my hands which were vigorously shaking

i tried to calm down as i got up and went to the bathroom to shower

*a week later

i was still here in nyc i turned my phone on earlier to see all the calls from ren, my mom and the boys

i texted in our gc

closing out the gc i walked into the living room sitting there letting everything sink in

i called ren

"ma" i said lowly

"yea" she said as she sniffled

"why you crying? did you eat?"

"dont act like everything is normal jour & why does it matter" she said angrily

"ma im sorry i just didnt know what to do" i said looking down

"ok jour." she said as she wiped her face

"show me yo face" i said as she shuffled around

she had red eyes and looked tired

"ma imma be back soon just get some rest" i said as she nodded

i hung as i walked to my room and put my things together i guess i will leave tonight and suprise her

after an hour i went to the store and got ren some things to make the suprise worth it

i got everything and packed up my car once again as i sped off onto the freeway

in chicago*

once i got here i went to our apartment as i walked in the elevator i felt a weight on my chest the closer i got to our floor

once i got there it was gone as if nothing happened i was in shock but i just continued to carry everything

i got to the door and stood there for a few seconds i took a deep breathe and quietly walked in

i put everything on the counter and took my shoes off

everything was still nice as if nobody touched it idk maybe im just paranoid but i walked into the room to see ren sleeping in my hoodie

i wanted to wake her up so bad i missed her and she took it harder than everyone else

i insisted i let her sleep so i just went and dozed off on the couch

i was woke to ren jumping on me and screaming she hugged me as she sat on my lap

my dick hard, stupid ass morning wood-

i held her as she buried her head into my neck

"i missed you so much bby" she said as it came out muffled but i still understood

"i missed you too"

"plz dont leave again" she said lowly

"I won't i promise" i said as i rubbed her back and kissed her neck
