Chapter 10- Trolley ride

I groan as I twist and turn in bed. *someone clears their throat*

“Riley wake up… Riley wake up…RILEY MATHEWS!” Jayden screams

“I heard you the first time you knucklehead!” I screamed annoyed

“Well couldn’t you tell me that?”

I sat up, looked at Jayden in my sleepy state and said: “You know I love you but you better have a good explanation for waking me up so early.”

Jayden unsure of what to say finally comes up with something. “The guys are here and they made breakfast?” he says unsurely

Ah good enough…wait the guys are here? Holy guacamole

“Yes they’re here and what’s with you and guacamole?” Jayden says with a funny look. I rolled my eyes

“Btw I love your hair.” He says with a wink and I growl

I dragged myself downstairs after brushing my teeth, having a bath and using the toilet. There was a lot of shuffling coming from the kitchen, I even heard the sound of the frying pan falling. Please lord I already have a hectic life please don’t let them destroy my kitchen.

I burst through the kitchen door only to trip over something, I let out a short scream. I opened my eyes only to see I’m enveloped by strong arms.

“Why thank you oh kind sir, for being at my assistance at this oh so tragic fall.” I say as I collapse in his arms

“The pleasure is all mine, shall I treat you to some lovely breakfast madam?” Luke replies in a horrible accent which I just laugh at.

“I shall not let thee take credit for my good deeds.” Wade appears and says with his hands on his hips

“Alright alright. As long as this tummy is full I aint worried.”I winked at him

“So what’s for breakfast?” Emmette says licking his lips.

We seated ourselves at the table and Wade served me after leaving the stack of waffles on the table.

“Here we are princess waffles and bacon for you. And might I say you look ravishing in that pink onesie and damn you’re rocking that blue hair.” I won’t lie… I actually blushed although I was irritated at the last comment my cheeks still heated up.

“Well Mr Smith I love yours too.” I said with a cheeky smile and wink

At the table we were engrossed in small talk. I was so consumed with my thoughts that I didn’t hear Grayson call my name.

“Riley? What do you think?” he said

“I haha uh what?” I foolishly said *cue mental slap*

“We were discussing our weekend plans and we thought it’s a good idea to go camping.” I froze. My dad and I loved camping that’s why I rather keep away from it.

Jayden noticed something wrong and asked in a hushed tone if I’m okay.

“Could we just go to my family Lake house instead? ” I asked breathlessly

“Yess girl! That place is fricken huge It’s like a hotel, just everything about that place is so…” everyone stared at Jayden at his sudden outburst.

“Well okay… is there enough rooms for all of us?” Wade enquired

“Yes, there’s 12 bedrooms, there’s also the main bedroom which is mine, 5 bathrooms, game room, indoor pool, kitchen and the lake out back.” A wave of dead silence washed the room.

Everyone stared at me with their mouths agape and eyes wide as saucers, well besides Jay he just smiled and skipped around the kitchen.

“Woah,” Luke broke the silence.

“Fine then, we’ll leave in half an hour and return on time for school Monday morning.” Emmette said

“Ry why don’t you get packed because our bags are already in my SUV. We uh already packed this morning for we wanted to save time packing if you agreed to come.” Wade said sheepishly.

“Wow. Okay then I’ll just get ready and meet you in your car in 30 minutes.” I said while leaving the room.

***30 minutes later***

I packed my clothes and changed. There was a knock at my door. Jayden peeped inside.

“You ready? Let me take your bags, we’re waiting for you.” He said

“Lets go!” I locked up the house and informed the guard where I would be.

“Wade can I drive?” I asked politely

“Sure. But I call shotgun.” Wade raced to the passenger seat.

Luke and Emmette appeared at Wades window with their face full of shock and amazement.

“Wade Smith just let someone drive his precious car. OMG dude you don’t allow me to or Em to drive your car and yet we beg you and you just gave Riley the keys just like that.” Luke said incredulously

“Well Riley is special so shut up and get in.” Wade said

We arrived at Pick n Pay because I needed to stock up with some snacks.

I insisted I’d go in alone but everyone wanted to come and in their words ‘protect me’ from any guys. Like dudes seriously I’m single let me mingle.

Wade and I were busy filling the trolley with chips when Luke and Grayson appeared in trolleys with Jay and Em pushing them. Oh god what are these idiots up to now? I cried. But once Wade and I shared a look with each other we burst out laughing, they looked ridiculous with a pot on their head.

“Riley get in.” Wade said and ushered towards the trolley.”

“Are you insane? We will get caught and they’ll throw us out!” I cried

“Aww are you scared?” he taunted with a smirk

“Me? Never.” I said

“Then hop in.” he says with that stupid smirk. And I did…

“Yayy Riley is joining too! This is bestie goals!” Grayson dramatically screams out

“Shut up, you talk to loud.” Jayden said, smacking Gray on the head

“Lets have a race, first one to the jar of pickles is the winner and they choose who will pay for the snacks and drinks.” Luke says with a mischievous grin

There was one thing that was running through my mind and that was _this isn’t going to end well_

“3…2…1… GO!” Wade screams

We all race towards the aisle dodging people, stopping and hiding from the shop assistances. I was holding on to my dear life and I laughed till I couldn’t breathe.

“Wade faster!” I said laughing

“HEY YOU BLUE HAIR PEOPLE STOP! THIS IS A STORE FOR HEAVEN SAKES!” Oh lord we got caught. I couldn’t control my big mouth so I turned around and screamed: “Hey mushroom head can you shut up! I will never return to this store again for you have insulted my boyf- my uh friend and I” I finished

I can’t believe I nearly referred to Wade as my boyfriend. Jesus Christ.

A minute later I heard the staff announcement that there are a bunch of holligans racing around the store and two smurfs are with them. How rude are these people!

I phoned on the group chat to talk to the guys because we all went in separate aisles.

“Hey guys we need to stop as it is the ‘smurfs’ are causing a disturbance.” I said sarcastically

“NO not till I get em pickles!” Luke screams

Lets just say we were thrown out and all of us are banned from the store for 1 year. So after the whole trolley ride bonanza we got back on the road and an hour later we arrived at the Mathews Estate. Fancy name right?

My dad built the estate back when I was 2 years old before he was murdered he told me that once I turn 18 the estate is legally mine and he built it for me and for now I use it as my getaway place and relaxation spot.

“WOW…” They said in unison. They were completely stunned.

“Riley this place is huge, you weren’t lying.” Grayson said

“Great place to start up a family.” Luke winked and Wade growled

Unsure of what to say, I let out a nervous laugh. “Who knows maybe one day I will move here.”

“We’ll move into mansion.” Wade muttered to himself, I doubt I was supposed to hear that.

“Enough ogling at the exterior of the house lets go inside and see the real deal.” Jayden said, clapping his hands

“holy f-” Luke exclaimed, before he could finish I covered his mouth.

“You is freaken loaded.” Grayson says while I laughed, with the help of the money I get from fighting I used it to add some extras to the house

“Yeah yeah anyway there’s enough rooms for everyone so you don’t need to share, you may choose which room you want.” I said

“I call dibs on the room with a balcony!” Luke says and ran off

After we settled down we decided to check out the lake, it’s been a couple good years since I’ve been here. I fancy a quick dip in the water just to wash out my problems. I got dressed in shorts and a spaghetti strap vest.

“Everyone! Make fast! I want to swim! Jayden cries out

I stood at the bottom of the staircase and awaited for the guys to come. As they walked down the stairs I couldn’t help but drool at the sight before me, Wade walked down shirtless and with a towel hanging down his shoulder. After the almost kiss ive been feeling a sense of I don’t know attraction towards him?

“Ry you might want to wipe off that drool of yours.” Emmette said bumping my shoulder

I wiped the drool away and looked away. Wade walked past me with a wink. Damn…

I got a message before we could leave.

***Message***

SCRAGGY- Hey angel, I got some news for you call me ASAP.

“Hey Jayden can you take everyone to the lake, I just need to return a call I’ll meet you there.” I gave him a knowing look

***Phone call***

Scraggy- Hi angel, I got a new fight for you. I know it’s been a while but I know you’ll enjoy this one.

Me- Scagz book me for it. What’s the details?

Scraggy- Monday the usual, fight starts at 10:00pm and your opponent is Ace Hunter. See just an easy/quick fight.

Me- Ahh Scargz that won’t last 3 minutes tops. Take care Scargz see you monday

Scraggy- Alright angel

I cut the call and joined the guys outside they were busy admiring the scenery

“Who’s ready to par-tay?” Luke yells out when he sees me approaching

“Mee!” I ran towards the stereo and blasted the speakers

Jayden got out some beers and we partied the day away. Until…

SPLASH!

What…the…hell…just…happened… 1 minute my eyes were closed and the next I’m drenched in water. I looked the culprit dead in his eye.

“I’m going to kill you Wade!” I screamed. Damn idiot just laughed, oh boy he doesn’t know that I can hurt him. Calm down Riley be a sensible mature young lady. Breathe in and out… phew. By now I was out of the water.

“YOU’RE DEAD!” I screamed while charging towards him. I didn’t miss the look of fear that washed onto his face. He took off running from me.

I chased him for 2 ½ minutes before he got tired and jumped off the small bank and into the water.

“Haha sucker!” I laughed. I was standing on the edge so he caught a hold of my leg and pulled me in.

“Wade.” I wined

“Yes Mrs Smurf” He replies. Oh gosh

“Uh nothing.” I muttered. A series of splashed were made all the guys were surrounding us.

“Riley and Wade sitting in a tree. K I S S I N G, first come loves then*coughing*” I was shocked at what Luke started singing. Wade just splashed him in which he swallowed water and coughed

“Luke shut up” thank you at least someone cares-“ their faces can’t get any more redder now can it?” Emmette finished laughing

Well he isn’t wrong but still I shall never admit that.

We stayed in the water for quite some time, the moonlight was the only thing providing some source light to where we were. Eventually we went back inside.

Grayson, Wade and I ended up making supper for everyone. When we were done we all went to our respective rooms, I think Jayden and Grayson were watching a movie in the mini theatre.

I went up into my room and closed my door. How I wish I could go for a late night walk with my dad. I laid in bed thinking of this eventful day. I’ve never had so much fun in my life. After meeting the guys my life has changed for the better. I just hope nothing will break us apart.

The trolley bonanza was truly the highlight of my day. Just laughing and getting in trouble was great fun. And the picture we took out were truly amusing especially the one where I’m grinning and Wade looks so confused.

I can't wait for my match on monday it's been some time since I've fought but nevertheless I'll still win. I would honestly like the guys to know who I truly am but I'm scared of how they'll react. Would they stay away from me or even stop talking? Anyway...

I'd like to do the trolley ride again sometime… eventually I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
