Chapter 12- Fight Night

Riley’s POV

*music blasting* what the hell…

Its 5:30! Why the hell is there music blasting early in the morning.

*agressive knocking*

“I swear to god if there’s a dent on my door I will dent you!

*nervous laughing* I sloppily got up and opened the door.

“Rise and shine!” Jayden shouted at me

“Jayden, leave me alone.” I mumbled, walking back to my bed and face planting into my duvet.

“Riley you have to get ready and packed we’re leaving in 45 minutes.” He said and left. I was about to walk out when suddenly someone knocked my forehead.

“I’m so sorry Riley are you okay? I was about to knock and call you for breakfast.” Wade said concerned.

Instead of me rubbing my now sore forehead, I started laughing like the sane person I am. Wade looked at me in shock.

“I-I’m f-fine it’s just that I *breathes in and out* can’t believe you knocked my head.” I said stupidly

“Uh okay… just get ready and come downstairs. Princess, wash your face because I can see traces of your shed tears. He said with a half-smile and leaves. I looked at the closed door in shock.

I quickly jumped into the shower and let my mind wander to last night’s incident. I honestly don’t want to go home and deal with Fred nor do I have the strength to deal with Samantha. By now she must be already spread rumours, about my hair and how I was dressed like a troll plus after our little argument I know she’s planning some sort of revenge.

I got dressed, straightened my hair and added some mascara. I went downstairs with my bag and left it at the door.

We have exactly 2 hours to get to school, we hopped in and Wade decided to drive us back.

“Ry momma, can we please get McDonalds’ for breakfast?” Wade pleads. Wait… did he call me momma? Hell no…who the daddy?

“Uh Luke I’m pretty sure I’m smaller than all of you so don’t call me momma and yes we’ll go straight there. I’m feeling for some nuggets and orange juice.” I say patting my tummy

“Yayy daddy, stop at McD’s.” he says smirking

“Hmm momma Ry and papa Wadey.” Jayden smiles

“Good combination.” Wade smirks

We arrived at Mcdonalds and seated ourselves in front because Luke wanted to meet new girls. I was sandwiched between Wade and Luke.

A cute guy walked up to our table to take our order.

“Hi I’m Edward, can I take your order?” He asks while looking directly at me

I placed my order and waited for the guys. Throughout the time the waiter took down the orders he kept glancing at me.

*clearing throat* “I’ll be back in a few…” he says.

“Who the hell does he think he is? Stupid boy looking at Riley likes she’s a doughnut.” Luke says annoyed

“A doughnut? Seriously man.” Emmette asked and we laughed

In 15 minutes our food had arrived, after we wolfed down our meals I asked for the bill. Edward walks back to our table handing the bill to me. Wade decides at that very moment to pull me closer to him and wrap his arm around my shoulder.

“I’ll take the bill, thank you.” And snatches the bill from Edwards hold.

“Babe would you like dessert or something?” He asked and it took me a few seconds to realise what he’s doing.

I pulled his face close to me and whispered something into his ear. It wasn’t anything fancy, I just said say no babe I’m good and wink. And he listened.

When Wade did what I had told, the waiter awkwardly pulled away the napkin he had left on the table for me which had his number on it. The guys just looked dumbstruck at us. I heard Luke mutter something about us just getting married. Wade had paid for the meals and we were back on the road.

1 Hour later

We made it to school, with time to spare. Since Wade is the golden guy of the school he has special parking at the front, so once we drove in everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at us.

I got out and walked with the gang towards the school. My anxiety had started; everyone was staring at me and whispering/giggling.

“What’s with her hair?"                                            “Freak”

“Why is she walking with them?”

“Eww, she looks like an ugly smurf”

“She thinks just because she hangs out with them, it automatically makes her one of us.” A cheerleader sneered

“I think Wade and her look cute with their matching hair.” “Shut up, she dyed her hair blue just to seek Wades attention.”

I honestly feel like bursting into tears, but at the same time I want to punch something.

“Guys I’ll see you later.” and I ran to my locker, without waiting for their reply

I got to my locker and my head started spinning. I got out a beanie and put it on. I grab a handful of books and sprinted for first period.

I got inside the classroom and sat at the back. Wade and Jayden were in my class, I just want to be left alone. Wade runs in and exhales when he sees me.

“Wade, leave her alone. It’s not the first time this had happened, she needs some space right now.” Jayden explains.

10 minutes later everyone was seated and the lesson was about to begin. I wiped away some stray tears.

“Sir, since when do you allow students to wear hats in class?” I can literally hear Samantha’s smirk

“You know I don’t allow it Samantha.” He says. When realised it’s me she’s talking about he made me remove my beanie.

“Oh look at that, the freak used that hideous beanie to hide her horrible hair.” Samantha says and everyone including the teacher starts laughing and making comments.

*BANG* Wade bangs his fist onto the table and wakes up

“Samantha if I were you I’d keep quiet. What Riley does in her life has nothing to deal with you! So it would be best if you sit your fake ass down and actually pay attention to the lesson and pass on your own.” He said fuming

I just stared at Wade with tears in my eyes, no one has ever done a thing like that for me. Although Samantha has always bullied me I’ve never cried in front of her but today everyone saw me in pools of tears.

“You call yourself a teacher? But you laughing at another student instead of defending her! My parents will be having a word with you.” He exclaimed. Wades parents are one of the richest in our country, they have enough power to fire the teacher.

Wade grabs my hand and walks out of the classroom, Jayden followed with my books in his hand.

“T-thanks for defending me.” I hugged Wade. After a few seconds he hugged back, I think he was shocked that I suddenly hugged him

“You don’t need to thank me.” He smiles

“I think I’m just going to go home and rest I’ll see you both in school tomorrow. Jayden keep my bags with you.”

“Okay take care. Wait I’ll drop you off, I’m also in no mood to stay in school.”

“Okay thanks.” I hugged Jay and Wade had dropped me at home.

“Riley how was your weekend, I see your hair is still blue.” Johnny says with a small laugh

“It was fine thank you, I’ll speak to you later.” I smiled

I walked in and Shanny told my mum will be back tomorrow. I went straight to my room and fell asleep. All the crying had made me feel weak and tired. It was 9: 00, there’s plenty time to sleep and enough to train.

6 hours later

I woke up feeling somewhat afresh. I woke up and checked my phone which was charging; messages from Wade and Jayden flooded my phone. I replied that I was okay and they don’t need to worry. I scrolled through Facebook and that’s when I saw a picture of me from Samanthas party, I was sitting next to Wade and someone had taken a picture. Someone had posted it and full comments flooded the picture.

There were things being said that I don’t even want to mention. I threw my phone on my bed and stomped over to my bathroom. Now I wasn’t crying, I was furious and it’s the best night to fight.

I spend almost an hour under the shower, I walked out with a big fluffy towel wrapped around me and I dug out my clothes from my cupboard. I put my fighting attire in my bad which I’ll carry.

I ate a sandwich and made my tropical smoothie. I walked over to my garage and drove my Black motorbike to the gym and went through the back entrance. I trained for a few hours until I saw it was dark outside. The gym has a small bathroom which I quickly used and got changed.

I changed into my fighting attire which included: my Black Nike shorts, black cropped hoodie, black Nike shoes and not forgetting my black mask. The mask only covers my eyes, I put on my signature red lipstick.

I locked the backdoor and went into the garage, did I forget to mention that I have 2 motorcycles? Well yeah, I have Harley Davidson Cosmic Starship which Bellatrix uses [no one besides Scraggy and Jayden know about it] and a Blue Ninja Kawaski which I use once in a while.

I put my backpack on and sped to the Warehouse. Within minutes I was there.

“Hi Scraggy, I missed you.” I hugged him

“Hey kiddo, I missed you too. You ready for tonight?” He asks

“Ready as I’ll ever be. Let’s go inside.”

“Your opponent is Ace Hunter, easy and quick fight so don’t worry.” He smirks

“Ah the chap who chickened out of the last fight because I was his opponent?” I smirked

*laughing* “Yes, same one.” Ace is a lean guy with a couple of tattoos here and there but he doesn’t look intimidating at all.

“Time to make my grand entrance.” I said cracking my knuckles

*announcer speaking*

“This is the moment we’ve been waiting for, our champion has arrived! Make some noise for Durbans one and only female Champion BELLATRIX!” he announces

The crowd goes insane, I’ll never get tired hearing them scream my name. I walk towards the ring with a smirk on my face, all kinds of emotions wiped off. Riley Mathews is gone, the ruthless and heartless Bellatrix is now here. All of the anger from this past weekend will be finally released.

I walked into the ring and saw my opponent, I began to taunt him and laugh.

“Alright you know the rules, DON’T KILL YOUR OPPONENT, MATCH ENDS EITHER WHEN ONE SURRENDERS OR IS KNOCKED UNCONCIOUS!”

“There will be just 1 round for this match.”

“ROUND 1, FIGHT”

My opponent and I circled each other. I being the patient one here I didn’t make the first move. I mean who in the right state of mind makes the first move when fighting.

He aims for my face and I smoothly dodge it. I take that opportunity to grab his hand and twist it around and kick him in his back. He lies on the floor groaning and holding his lower back.

“Oh little girl, I’m not going to go easy on you anymore.” I began laughing

“Oh honey, I’m the one going easy on you. By now you would’ve fractured something.” I smiled sadistically. Ace gulped…

Before he could wake up I kicked him on the same place he’s suffering with.

“AHHH!” he screams out in pain

I got on top of him and repeatedly threw punches on his chest. I used the strength that I gained from thinking of all the shit people spoke about me over this weekend. He tried reaching for my hood so I jumped back, with one strong punch to the chest he flipped over and gave me full access to his back. I used my leg to put pressure onto the sore part of his back and within seconds the match was over. He surrendered!

“OUR CHAMPION IS ON FIRE! MAKE SOME NOISE FOR OUR WINNER BELLATRIX!”

I got out of the ring and walked past Scraggy. “Told you he wouldn’t last long.” I said smirking while Scragz laughed

My body guards walked me towards the room where I changed and got ready to leave.

“Here’s your money. Since it was a small fight, your pay is R4000.” Scraggy handed an envelope to me.

“Keep half of the money.” I smiled

“No dear, you earned it plus you give me money after every fight . for once you keep all and use it to buy new clothes or something.”

“You stubborn you know that.” He laughs

“Drive home safe kiddo, I’ll message you for your next fight.” He says embracing me in a tight hug.

I got my backpack and walked out to my bike, people started leaving from the arena so I kept pulling my hood down.

I got onto my bike and someone touched my shoulder.

“Uh Hi I saw you coming out of the room so I’m guessing you’re Bellatrix? I must say that you are an amazing fighter.” Oh no, why did Wade have to spot me. Scraggy had given me an earpiece which I use before and after a fight so in cases of an emergency I can get through to him. I pressed the button on the earpiece and within seconds Scraggy came out.

While Wade was distracted I sped off

I used the back roads trying to get home so it’s easier to not get caught. I parked my bike at the garage and used my Blue one to get home. I usually park my bike at an acquaintance house not far from home so mom won’t catch me sneaking out, but since she’s not here I can drive straight home.

I got home, had a quick shower and put fresh Pj’s on. I checked my phone for any messages and I set it one side. I left the envelope with the rest of my money in my safe, I need to put all into the bank.

I sat on my bed for a while thinking of today and how Wade was so angry yet he stood up for me. It was already so late so I snuggled myself in my blanket and drifted off to sleep.
