Both Lan Qianyu and Xiao Qi couldn’t smile when they were taking their wedding photos. The photographer panicked and tried to stir their emotions. He finally had to make do with just the few last shoots. Xiao Qi asked them to expedite so they could get them tomorrow night.

The photographer said politely, “I’ll try my best. There should be no problem.” However, after he turned around, he mumbled softly, “I have never seen a couple like them. People smile when they are getting married, but they were so grumpy. They might as well not get married if they are unwilling.”

“What are you saying?” Xiao Qi’s fury was ignited instantly. He rushed over, grabbed the photographer’s collar and roared at him, “You say that again! Do you believe that I’ll get the boss to fire you?”

“I’m sorry, Mr. Xiao. I said too much,” the photographer apologized immediately.

“Forget it, Xiao Qi. Let’s go.” Lan Qianyu pulled Xiao Qi away.

“You are really heated today. You raised your hands against people twice.” Qiao Qing had never controlled her mouth.

“Don’t antagonize me if you know that I am in a bad mood.” Xiao Qi said crossly.

“Why are you shouting at me?” Qiao Qing got angry immediately. “I antagonize you? If you are capable, go and shout at your younger brother.”

“You…”

“Could the two of you stop quarreling?” Lan Qianyu was very frustrated.

Both of them quietened down. Xiao Qi remained quiet for a few seconds before saying softly, “I need to go home for a while, Qianyu. I’ll look for you later.”

“Go ahead.” Xiao Qi left as soon as Lan Qianyu answered. Lan Qianyu watched his back and furrowed her brows uncontrollably. Xiao Han was back and the Xiao family would be in an upheaval. This wedding process wasn’t smooth at all.

Xiao Qi’s phone rang while he was driving. He accepted the call and Zhu Min anxiously asked, “Xiao Qi, I heard that that bastard is back?”

“Mommy, you’re very well-informed.” Xiao Qi was listless.

“Why do you sound so feeble?” Zhu Min said haughtily, “You felt feeble the moment he’s back? What are you afraid of? Mommy’s here. That bastard relied on his mother’s family’s wealth and power to create a little success and he thought that he was somebody. I don’t believe that he can create havoc.”

“Ai…” Xiao Qi sighed a long breath. “What shall we do now? The fund injection matter is going nowhere and now he’s back.”

“Why didn’t you accept Bai Lu’s suggestion?” Zhu Min was angry when she brought this up. “That’s an excellent opportunity and you refused to grasp it. Are you really going to wait until we’re utterly defeated before you know the seriousness?”

“I’m not rejecting it. I went to see Ye Yan that same day and he said he wanted Qianyu to bring it up to him personally.” Xiao Qi said in a fluster, “However, Qianyu’s wound has just recovered slightly and we are rushing to have our wedding photos taken. How was I supposed to tell you about that?”

“How difficult is this to say? You tell her about the situation clearly. We are only asking her to go and say a few words, and not making her do any tedious physical task. Why can’t she go and help you put in a good word? Mommy isn’t trying to put you down here, Qi, but why are you alway this wishy-washy? I asked you to look for Leng Ruobing, and you refused. Zhu Min hung up the phone after she finished speaking.
