Chapter 21

colors.

poems.

some words spread color

no matter what type

of pen you use

to write it down

some words of you

take all of it

and the only paint is

the black 'n white feeling of

being without you

you're still talking 'bout fighting too much,

but there is no place for any of that

there is too much silence staying between us

I am counting your letters

focus on your spelling

every story of the day

seems to be the last

they fade away like

watercolor in the rain

and I'm still trying to

keep your words from drowning

I'm still trying to

save all of the color

or

at least what's left of us

cause we started as a sun

rising at midnight

do you remember

how the stars just laughed

as they saw us?

do you remember

how we

suddenly

became so bright

that all of the stars got blind

laughing, even looking at us

I remember this

so I'm looking at you now

and it feels like midnight again

you can't see any color

just black 'n white and

all the other shades and sorts of that

I would like you to

look at me again like

we were used to

I'm not saying that

you have to stay in my bed

cause we'd fuck it up again,

but some of your kisses spread color

in places I want to cover less

when you talk that much

I want you to

spread color 'n

come for me

it's midnight

no matter what the stars are saying

spread your words

like you spread my legs

and maybe

we get down and intertwine

mixing up new colors

so come, baby

let's make art
