Chapter 42 (Um...Dates.?)

Jake's prov

"Oh...my...god..!!" I felt her breath on side of my face as she leaned in to ask me something, when she wispherd in my ear all my senses got alarmed ,I felt my heartbeat increase rapidly, I stopped breathing...the only thing I could do was feel her closer to me than she's ever been. This feeling......I want it...every second, to know that she's here right beside me.

" Jake...? " she nudged me with her shoulder

"I don't know" I smiled ear to ear.....forgetting that I was mad at her for bringing them. It's okay to be selfish sometimes and just for once I want her to be selfish.

The waiter arrived pulling me out of my thoughts.....

"Can I bring anything for you sir?" He's fake smiling like all the waiters do but I nodded and ordered.

Kate brought up the topic which I was wishing, should be avoided

"So where are you guys on that project?"

"We gave it in less than a week. Why?" Alex looked at me totally confused.

I bit my lip from smiling but Alex already caught me smiling...!

"How did you guys do that. I mean Ann's partner did it for her but you.....how?" Confusion was filled on her face.

"I don't know kate. Have you ever heard about the word.....Umm....Internet.!!" Alex replied scarstically which made us all burst into laughter but kate on the other hand looked mad at us.

"Ya ha....but we're not supposed to use that for projects." She stated

"Well, it's not like you will be punished for it baby girl " Alex pouted teasing her.

" Do not call her that Alex ! " I interrupted furiously but then I didn't wanted it to seem wierd so I added....

"Or else she'll complain about it to her mom"

We all laughed in unison and this time kate found it funny too.....I took a glance of her laughing and damn..! She's beautiful.

"Oh....okay now we guys are leaving, I have to take Anna somewhere. so meet you guys tomorrow and jake would you drop kate off after dinner?" Alex said it all in hurry but he really wanted to take Anna to the beach at night and he's nervous but he's clear that he wants to do it tonight.

"Ya, sure I'll take care of it." I nodded and then we said our goodbyes to them.

"You really don't know where is he taking her?" Kate asked me looking straight into my eyes.

Those eyes....drives me crazy it's so light and clear also with a slight hint of yellow colour when....WHAT? WAIT NO...I HAVE BEEN ACTING WIERD ALL NIGHT. OH NO I SOUND LIKE A GIRL. uhh....okay what did she asked....I shook my head and cleared everything.

"Umm....ya the beach I guess. " I replied normally.

He eyes got bigger and she covered her mouth in her hands.....Now that cannot be good.

"What...?" I asked worridly. I mean if there us something wrong with the beach I should know right.

"Oh....poor Alex he should have asked me. Anna has this thing for water.....Ummm let's say she freaks out when she's anywhere around water. This is not good u think we should go stop them." She's panicking and so am I.

"Let me call him." I quickly grabbed my phone and dialed hus number.

"You can't stop thinking about me. Can you?" Alex picked up in almost three rings and used a low harsh voice to talk.

"Look I know you want to punch me in the face for calling you right now but don't take her to the beach. Kate just told me that she has some kind of water fobia." I explained him but his response was...

"Oh...Ahh crap!" He hunged up

"What did he say?" Kate was waiting for my answer but what should I tell her. Obviously I am not telling her 'kate he said Oh..ahh crap!'

"He said okay." I lied smoothly

"So....we should leave too?" She looked at her watch.

"Ya...but I was thinking we should have some coffee before I can drop you off." I made it look normal not desperate. But it's too soon she can't leave, we just got to be with each other alone.

"Okay. Sounds great." She agreed smiling

Ahh.....! Now that smile...uhh...ugh.

We decided to walk to the nearest coffee shop as it will give me some more time with her. This is do peaceful very quite but in a good way, I want to hold her hand while she walking carelessly like there's nothing to worry about. She makes this ordinary things look beautiful.

"Hey kate? Can I ask you something? "

"Ya, shoot."

"Have you been on a beach date?"

"Well......if you are trying to be funny than it's mit funny and if you're asking genuinely than no....."

"No seriously.....why would you think I'm kidding? "

"Come on Anna must've told you that I've never had my first date, so you're just trying to make me feel embarrassed."

"What...? Not even a single date. Now you're lying and that's very bad miss."

"You find it amusing. don't you?"

"Yes because I know you're lying."

"How do you know that....Mr?"

"Because we have already been on three dates Kate."

she froze.....stood there shocked in middle of nowhere. I smirked knowing that I'm the reason she's standing here speechless.

"Umm....Dates........?" She finally said it after a long pause

"Ya...why do you think I would go to these restaurants after having a big business in Hotel industry. I can just call any of my dad's employee and they'll have it done by tomorrow" I shrugged moved ahead while she was taking it all in...... I'm scared though, what if she will start freaking out......I don't actually know how's she going to react.

"Those were not dates......Dates are not like that." I turned and saw her hands crossed across her chest and eyebrows knitted in confusion.

"Okay.....So what are dates like?" I asked her simply

"I don't know but it's not like this. I didn't even knew we were dating." She said it very fast and loud.

Ohh...no no no sh

e's getting mad at me...I don't want that. What should I do....umm run....maybe but I have to drop her home.

Okay relax Jake....take a deep breath and think dude. Think. Think. Think.

I moved closer to her.....really close sliding my hand around her waist and filling the space between us, staring into her big brown eyes.....I moved closer but stopped realising she's not breathing because she's scared. I let her go and got on one knee still looking in those eyes and asked her "Miss Kate Erric I don't know what's your idea of a date but if you say for this question then I promise you'll never regret it. I won't let you down. So....here it goes.......Umm KATE WILL YOU GO OUT ON A DATE WITH ME?"
