Accepting Pack Life

Raymond POV

As I slowly open my eyes I am made aware of a small and warm form against my body. I look down do see Loretta snuggled into my side. What?! How did she get here?! She was on the bed?! "She's a werewolf. She must have followed your scent dumb nut." "Why mine?" "Because you showed kindness."

I think about what my wolf said then I look at the clock. 5:52am. It's early but I think this way it would be easier to get out of the country. I stand up setting the small girl down again then I walk over to my bag and get clothes out for the day.

After I finished dressing I exit the room and walk over to Harry and Dylan's rooms. I open each door and tell them to be ready in 5 minutes. Turning my back on their rooms I head back to my own. I open the door to see Loretta still sleeping.

She looks so innocent and kind. I walk up to her small sleeping frame and shake her awake softly. "Come Loretta. It's time to wake up." The girls eys slowly open and she yawns. Then she smiles up at me. "Gwood morwing mistew Waymond."

I smile down at her as she as she get her words wrong. "Morning Loretta." I get out one of my shirts and give it to her. "Could you put this on?" The girl smiles up at me an takes it while I turn around to give her some privacy.

After a while she tugs at my jeans and I look down to see her swimming in my shirt. It's like an over sized dress on her. I pick her up and then I walk with her to my duffle bag. I take out a hat and I put it on her head.

The hat is big and hides her blonde hair completely. Then I pick up the bag with one hand holding Loretta in my other arm. I make my way out of the room to see my men waiting for me.

"Alright men, it's time to go back home." My men smiles at my and Dylan takes my bags. We get back into Dylan'scar and we drive to the airport. Once we arrive I see the royal guard already there.

I slowly climb out holding Loretta close to me, so as to make me look more like an over protective father. The royal guards are looking at every girl trying to find the princess. Then Loretta squirms in my arms.

"What's wrong Loretta?" She points to the new King himself. "Uncle Julian." She says trying to gt out of my arms. "No, Loretta. Uncle Julian is very busy now so we can't distract him okay?" She stops squirming then she nods up at me.

I smile softly at her then I hug her close again. She rests her head on my chest and I walk to my private plane. "Excuse me sir!" I turn around to see a royal guard run up to me, but he stops when he looks me and Loretta over.

"My apologies for interrupting you and your son sir." I nod my head at him. 'Some humans really are fools." I think to myself then I turn around walking onto the plane again. "Well that was easy, huh Alpha?" I nod my head at Harry.

"You'd think that they'd find it more suspicious that the kid was only wearing an over-large shirt and hat." "Well, that at least wirked in our favour, Dylan." "Yes, Alpha." We sit down on or seats and I sit Loretta down next toy seat.

"So what was in that file Black gave us Alpha?" I growl when I'm reminded at that, but I quickly stop when Loretta whimpers beside me. "They are planning to massacre our pack." It looks like Harry and Dylan wants to growl as well but with a look from me they quite down.

"I heard someone talking about a

m-ass-a-cre at the palace." I turn to Loretta with so much speed I'm surprised I didn't get whiplash. "Who was talking about it and what did you hear Loretta?" The little girl soon recovers from my fast movement and she seems to start thinking.

"I don't know. I heard someone saying that they wanted to m-ass-a-cre the Blue Moon Pack, and then someone stood up and came to the door and I ran away." I look at the girl for a while.

"In whose office was it?" "Mommy's daddy's. He doesn't like me. He called me a freak and says little girls who can turn into wolfies shouldn't be aloud to sit on the furniture and eat at the table." My wolf snarls in my head hearing how her own grandfather treated her.

"Did you ever tell your mommy and daddy?" Loretta shakes her head. "Daddy would get angry again. He and grandpa always fights. Daddy's scary when he gets mad. His hair turns red." My eyes widen at this. I've never heard of that happening before.

Sure our eye colours change when we're mad but that's about it. And our eyes only changes to black. I feel something on my lap and I look down to see Loretta climbing onto my lap. Once she settles down she grips my shirt in her fist and closes her eyes.👇

(A/N: Almost like this but Loretta has blonde hair and she's fisting his shirt with her eyes closed.) I look up to see Harry and Dylan looking at her with looks of sympathy. I hear Loretta's breath even out and I know she's asleep.

Poor girl. The rest of the trip me and the guys talk about how they plan to attack and how we can counter those attacks, but we can't make anything final without talking to my Gamma, trackers and warriors.

We have 5 minutes left before we land and I feel Loretta squirming in my arms. Thinking she's awake I look down at her. Her eyes are still closed and she's still asleep. "N-no!" Me and the other two looks at her and my eyes widen at what I see.

Her normally blonde hair is turning completely white! She whimpers again and her hair turns impossibility more white! I shake her gently. "Loretta. Wake up." She jolts awake at my touch.

She looks at me with wide teary eyes and then she lunges herself at me. Her tears soak my shirt as I hold onto her tightly. "Wanna talk about it?" I ask her after a little while. "Gwandpaw was mad agaiwn." She says shivering.

"He said I'm a freak cause I'm the only human who can turn into a wolfie." Yet again my wolf snarls in my head. "That not true Loretta." She looks up at my with big eyes. "It's not?" I shake my head.

"Me, Harry and Dylan can turn into wolves too." "You can?" I nod at her. "How about when we get back the two of us can run in the woods as wolves mmhh?" Loretta giggles and claps her hand together shouting; "Yay!" Then her hair changes back. I grin at her then I feel the plane slowly landing.

"Where home you wanna see it?" Loretta nods at me. I laugh at her enthusiasm and I stand up with her in my arms again. I walk out of the plane and to the car where Dylan is already waiting for me.

I place Loretta in the back seat. "I'll be right back okay Loretta?" Loretta nods at me and I close the door. I then walk up to Harry. "Run ahead and tell the pack I want them all infront of the pack house for a meeting when I arrive there." He nods at me. "Yes Alpha."

I watch him run in he direction of the wood and I know he's gonna shift there running to the pck house in his wolf form. I walk up to the car again and get into the passenger seat next to Dylan.

"Pack house." He nods at me and then he starts the car. On the way to the pack house I watch as Loretta stares out the window taking in the trees and the animals we pass by on the forest trail we're following. Every now and then a flower passes by and her features lighten up more.

She seems to really love flowers. When we come within seeing distance of the pack house I see my entire pack standing in front of it. I smile at the loyalty and respect my pack has for me.

Once Dylan stops I get out then I move to the back seat and I open the door lifting Loretta out. Now everyone has their attention on her and she tries to make herself smaller while trying to wiggle her way under my arm.

I softly stroke her head whispering soothing words into her ears. "Shhh. It's alright Loretta. They will not harm you. I'll protect you alright?" She looks up at me. "Promise?" I nod at her. "I promise."

She lifts her head and looks at the pack her head tilted to the side. "Can they turn into wolfies too?" A smile tugs at my lips, as well as some of the members from the pack as well. I nod at her then I turn to face my pack.

"Members of the Blue Moon Pack, Loretta will be staying with us from now on!" "Why Alpha?" I turn to my Gamma. "Loretta's parents are unable to take care of her now. So we will!" The pack looks at me with curiosity then Loretta speaks up.

"Mommy and daddy's flying with the angels." The pack sends her looks of pity and then I turn around. "We will let her go throug the ceremony later today. Thanks for coming that would be all." I'm about to walk into the pack house when a voice interrupts me.

"Oh Alpha. Where are you, like going?!" I groan at the voice. Great. It's Violet, the pack slut. "I'm going to my room, Violet." She walks up to my swaying her hips. "Why don't I come with you?" She purs in what she thinks is a seductive tone, but to me it sounds like a sick cat.

"Why would you do that?" "I wanna plan for our wedding." She says in a duh tone. "What?!" I shout out. "Well, I'm your like mate." "You are not!" I growl at her. She ignores me and latches onto my arm knocking Loretta to the ground.

Loretta lets out a shriek of pain when she hits the ground. Violet squeezes my arm tightly, while I'm trying to shake her off. After 5 more seconds I snap. "VIOLET!" You can clearly hear my wolves voice in my next words and I'm positive that my eyes are black.

I feel her grip on me loosen, but with my wolf so close to the surface I am having a hard time controlling myself. I glare at her menacingly and I make sure every one in the pack can hear the Alpha tone in my voice.

"VIOLET. YOU WILL LET GO OF ME NOW!" She shivers next to me, but then she tightens her grib again. "LET GO NOW!" she immediately lets go unable to resist the Alpha tone and command. "You will never touch me again. Do you understand me?"

"Y-yes Alpha." She whimpers before she turns around running away from me. I turn around to see Hailey, one of the pack moms and cooks holding Loretta who look scared out of her mind with bright white hair. I walk up to Hailey and she hands Loretta to me.

Once in my arms Loretta immediately relaxes and her hair turns blonde again. She tightly fists my shirt and she lays her head on my chest. I stroke her hair and back softly as I walk to and into the pack house again.

I walk up to my room and then I set Loretta down on my bed after closing the door. I inspect her looking for any injuries, but she only has a tiny scratch on her left leg. "Loretta?"

She looks up tilting her head. "Do you wanna be part of my family?" She nods her head. "Alright. We're gonna let you go through the ceremony okay?" She looks at me with fearful eyes. "Will it hurt?"

I laugh at her question. "Only a little. But I'll be next to you. All you have to say when I ask you a question is yes, okay?" She bods her head at me. "Alright I'm gonna call Hailey up so she can dress you alright."

She seems hesitant for a while, but then she nods. I smile at her then I connect with Hailey through the mind-link. "Hailey?" I think. "Yes Alpha?" She immediately answers. "I want you to come up here and dress Loretta in clothes for the ceremony okay?" "Yes Alpha."

She answers enthusiastically. Then I turn to Loretta. "After Hailey dressed you Harry will take you to me okay?" She nods hesitantly at me again. I smile down at her then I walk into my walk in closet and I grab a suit then I go up to Harry's room to change.

I'm outside standing behind a dark brown wood table that has a small silver cauldron on it. The rest of the pack is sitting in front of the table on chairs. Then music starts plying and Harry steps out of the pack house hold Loretta's hand.

They walk down to the table and when they're a few feet away then he stands still and let's go of Loretta's hand. She looks back at him and in a whisper he talks to her. "Walk slowly to Alpha Raymond okay?" Loretta nods and she makes her way to me.

Once she stops in front of me I pick her up and then I slowly set her down on the table. She's wearing a soft baby blue dress 👇. Then I turn to my pack.

"Members of the Blue Moon Pack! Today we have a new member!" The pack cheers at that then I turn to Loretta. I prink my hand with a needle and then I let a drop fall into the cauldron. "Give me your hand Loretta."

She does as I say and then I take the needle to her hand. I look her in her eyes and I quickly prick her finger while she's distracted. She gives a small whimper. I move her finger above the cauldron.

"Loretta, do you promise to be loyal in the Blue Moon Pack and do you promise that you will do everything in your power to protect the pack?" She seems to think for a while, but recognition flashes in her eyes. "Yes." She states.

I smile down at her then I turn her finger making a drop of her blood fall into the cauldron. Then I feel it. A quick jab to my chest signalling that the ceremony was successful. I smile at Loretta. "Welcome to the Blue Moon Pack Loretta."

She can't seem to concentrate and I know it's because all of the voices in her head of pack members. Then it seems to become to much and she falls forward unconscious into my arms.

I turn to my pack. "You can return to your homes now." Then I turn around and I walk back to the pack house cradling Loretta's small form tight to me. I smile down at her. The little girl my mate revered to as 'a start of recovery' has excepted pack life.
