chapter 14

Author's POV.

Vidhyut reached his office. There is still time for employees to come. But he has to come. As he has not attended office for the last two days also he has to return before 12:00 pm for Puja. He started working on the file  for the meeting which was after two hours.

Slowly  employees started coming. When they saw the office was open they knew that their boss was here. That is the reason they respect him. If he wanted he could have ordered any one to complete that work and nobody could have denied him as he is the boss.  But he strictly believes that everyone should do their own work. whether he  is a boss or an employee.

Just then two girls entered the office building. The first one is Vidhi who has been working here for the last two years. And second is Priti who is a new employee. She joined the office last month. Both are talking and laughing just then Vidhi notices that everyone in the office is quiet. So she asked one of her colleagues Rahul,

" Hey, Rahul, why is everyone quiet? Anything serious?"

" Nope, nothing serious Vidhi. Boss is here working in his cabin."

" Ohh "

" Isn't it too early for sir to come? You know, office hours have just started. Also he is here after two days."  Priti asked curiosity and happiness is quite evident in her Voice. Which didn't go unnoticed by her friend vidhi. Rahul was in haste so didn't pay much attention to it and answer it as he has to go.

" Oh ho, you are new Priti so you don't know boss. But he likes to complete his work on his own. And today is also a meeting. You must know you are with me in the Finence department. So he must be here to complete his part of work. Accha ok I have to go to reception as I have forgotten an important file which my brother is coming to give so bye."

Saying he left. Anyone can say Priti is impressed by what she heard about the Vidhyut. Vidhi noticed this and wanted to say something to her but didn't as it's normal for anyone  to get impressed by their boss.

Both of them went to Floor and started working. When Priti was working she listened his department head's worried looked so she asked,

" Is everything ok, sir?"

" Actually I have to give this file to Vidhyut sir. But I have work to complete before the meeting. I thought Rahul will go. But he still has not returned. "

" Ok "

just then he got some idea so he asked,

" Priti, can you do me a favor? Can you please give this file to sir."

Priti happily agreed to this. She has been working here since last month. But never had a chance to interact with Vidhyut directly. As when she joined he was on Tour.  After that there was no way that she could meet him personally. And for the last two days he has not come. So finally it's her chance to  meet him personally.

Vidhyut was working in his cabin when someone knocked. He thought that it must be Vihaan. So said come in. But didn't look at the person and said,

" Keep this file here and bring coffee for me. "

Priti knew that he didn't look at her. So he must not know that she is not his PA. But she thought it was a good chance to interact with him and also if she will make good coffee that he will be impressed. So she quietly went out and made coffee for him. And once again knocked and after getting permission she entered. And kept coffee on the table.

With the sound of a cup being kept on the table Vidhyut felt relaxed. And said,

" Thank god. You came Early and this coffee was much needed."

Saying finally he looked up from his file and got confused by looking at some girl. His relex prosure tighten looking at her and he asked seriously,

" Who are you and what are you doing in my cabin?"

Before she could reply, Vihaan entered the cabin in haste. He was so late that he forgot to knock. When he entered like this Priti didn't like this but of course she couldn't say anything to him.

" Miss. Here answer my questions" Vidhyut said in his bossy tone.

" Sir, my name is Priti and I am from the marketing department. Our head Mr. Aakarsh said to give you this file. When I was here to drop file you yourself asked Coffee "

Vidhyut rubbed his forehead with his forefinger and thumb and said,

" I thought it was Vihaan "

" I know sir. But you were looking so stressed so I thought to help you and that's why I decided to make coffee."

" There was no need for it."

" Sir but now that I have already made it, you can have it."

Vihaan, who knows what is coming, feels pity for the girl.

" How many months are you working here?"

" Sir from last month"

" Then did you still know how my office works? Why the fuck did you make coffee? Look Miss I would really appreciate your efforts for helping me. But I don't need anyone's help. And I really appreciate it if you focus on your work. Not here to help me.

He looked Vihaan and said,

" Drop her to her department back and tell Mr. Aakarsh to make her understand the rules of this office."

Vihaan was about to go out with Priti but Vidhyut stopped him and said,

" Take this coffee back. If someone wants to have it then give it to them and if nobody wants it throw it."

Priti was already upset with his behavior. And now this brought tears in her eyes. But I went out with Vihaan. First they went to pentry to make coffee that time She said,

" Sir, you can give this coffee to him. How will he know who made it?"

" No priti I can't. Because sir will know. And even if he won't, I can't disrespect his order."

He made other coffee and asked peon to give coffee to Vidhyut and also gave coffee made by Priti to drink as he doesn't want to throw it. And asked her to follow her to her department.

" Why did you give Coffee made by me to that  peon?"

" Then what do you want me to do ? Throw it?"

"But…"

He didn't let her finish as they reached their department.

" Look Miss priti you have already broken one rule by giving coffee to sir. And now don't insult him. Even if he is a peon , if sir will come to know about that he won't like this."

Aakarsh who sees Vihaan knows that something is wrong as he always stays with his boss and only visits any department if something happens. He comes there and asked,

" Sir, is everything ok?"

" Mr. Aakarsh, she joined last month right?" He asked, pointing towards priti.

" Yes sir."

" Didn't you explain her rules in this company?"

" Of course I did. Sir, did she make any mistake?"

Vihaan nodded and explained to him what happened in the cabin. Aakarsh shook his head and said,

" Sorry sir I will make sure something like this never happen again"

Vihaan nodded and went. Aakarsh was about to shought on her but Vidhi who came there for some work interpreted,

" Sir please I will make her understand"

Aakarsh nodded and said,

" You better make her understand. I don't want her to repeat any mistake." Saying he went to work.

Vidhi dragged her into corner and Asked,

" Why did you do something like this?"

" Why is everyone reacting like I have given poison to sir. It was just coffee."

" That is the point. Sir doesn't like when someone interferes in someone else's work and that was Vihaan sir's job. You shouldn't have done that"

" I just wanted a little appreciation from sir, that's why I did it."

" What do you think sir didn't know your intention? He tells other people's intentions just by looking at their faces."

" What kind of intention ?" Priti asked shifting her place being noversoue.

" You like sir don't you?"

"No.."

" Come on, Priti, admit it. It is written all over your face and in your voice."

" Yes I like him. And tell me why won't someone like him. He has everything to like about. I have never seen such a person. You know he didn't even look at me. Even after knowing I was standing there. When he was getting  angry but still he was either looking at Vihaan sir. Or his complete focus on my face. His gase not even for a second moved down on my body.  Tell why won't I like someone like him. I was impressed that day only when he shouted at Natasha. "

" I am telling you Priti you are on the wrong trake. Which will lead you to hurt  nothing else. If he wants he can have anyone. But he won't even look at someone. He is a one man woman and is reserved for someone special."

" You don't know Vidhi, I can be that someone special."

" Don't be in illusion. You won't get him. We don't know who will win his heart but of course she will be special. Someone unique. "

" We don't know who she is right? Till then let me try to win his heart. I will do my best to win his heart. "

" You are still not understanding. Think if he has not drunk coffee from your hand. Do you really think you will be able to win him? Don't come to me when you're heart broken. I am warning you"

Saying she left from there. Knowing that her friend will get nothing but a broken heart. But what she can do when she is willing to go that path.

Vihaan entered in Vidhyut's cabin and he gave him file to check while sipping coffee. Once everything is done Vihaan spoke,

" Sir File is ok"

" Done then. I don't want to check as I know you have done properly. So get ready for meeting"

" Hmm. Sir, can I ask you a question?"

" go ahead "

" Sir, that was just coffee. I know you don't like when someone breaks a rule and pokes their nose in someone's business. But…"

" I know Vihaan what you want to say. But you see she didn't ask permission before making it.  She knew that I miss took her as you still made coffee without even asking.  That clearly shows doubt in her actions. It was not her job but still she did. Without even asking which clearly says that she wants me to pay attention to her. Which leads to doubt in her actions. I just don't  know about her intentions as she didn't show it in her face. But I can say  what they are. And I never want to give someone the wrong signal even by just drinking coffee. especially now that I have jeevika in my life. I have to be careful with my every action. She is quite young. Don't know many things. So someone can manipulate her if they come to know about her. Though she didn't express it, she is still insecure about us. Also it is good for that girl also that she should stop here. If I would have drunk that coffee she would have been encouraged to do something like this in future."

" I am speechless sir. I have never thought of this many things. One more thing sir jeevika mam is so lucky. Now I know why you are the dream Man of every girl in our office. As they know they can never find someone more loyal than you."

" Ohh is it. But I want to be the dream man of only one girl."

Vidhyut said and both of them laughed at his comment and he asked Vihaan to prepare for the meeting. Once Vihaan left he looked at his watch and think,

" What My little patakha must be doing?  I just hope you are not blasting on someone."
