Chapter 137
Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)
Chapter 137 But He Could Stay With Her!
"I can't help you." Elijah refused coldly.
Because of Cordelia, there was a subtle gap between him and Jacob,
and their relationship was also greatly alienated.
Lamia's eyes turned red, and she was about to cry. Cordelia hurriedly
said, "Lamia, my friend just happened to be going to Tarssa City. It is
Imogen, who you like very much. How about you go and work for her
without salary?"
Lamia's eyes lit up. "Okay, okay! I just want to find a legitimate reason
to convince my parents, and this reason is very legitimate!"
Cordelia nodded. "Alright then, I will tell Imogen about it. But you
should be sensible over there and not cause trouble for her.â
"No problem!"
On the way back, Elijah kept his face sullen.
Cordelia glanced sideways at him several times and finally couldn't help
asking, "Blame me for helping Lamia?"
"Jacob won't fall in love with her,â Elijah said irritably.
Cordelia said, "Maybe, but before Lamia can get over it, let her try it.
Otherwise, she won't be reconciled.â
Elijah paused briefly, then smiled disdainfully. "That is right. Or she will
have to think of him every day and night.â
His eyes were meaningful as if his words had another meaning.
Cordelia stared blankly ahead.
Back then, she probably did think of Elijah day and night.
At that time, she had just begun to fall in love. First, she loved Elijahâ's
face and then his voice.
Later, Cordelia paid too much attention to his various behaviors,
awards, and even rumors.
Having a crush on someone was probably like that. Anyway, at that
time, Elijah was all her motivation.
If she hadn't been able to marry Elijah initially, this pure secret love
might have continued forever, and it would have become an obsession.
Cordelia suddenly laughed and said, "You summed it up pretty
thoroughly.â
Seeing her bright smile, Elijah felt a little glaring. His brows were tightly
knit, and his heart became even more annoyed.
He admitted that he was jealous of Eason and could be remembered by
Cordelia day and night.
Therefore, he could only comfort himself when he was the one who
stayed with her day and night.
Heh... After all, Eason could only stay in her mind, but he could stay
with her!
On the day Imogen left, Cordelia went to her house to see her off and
take her little follower Lamia to Imogen.
Cordelia hugged them one by one, "Take good care of yourselves. I'll
go to Tarssa City in a few days to play with you."
Imogen was not sentimental. After all, Tarssa City was not far from
Beilve City.
The atmosphere of parting was just right, and a supercar came
galloping. As if in just a moment, the car had already parked firmly
behind Imogen's car.
Wearing sunglasses, Ben got out of the car and approached Imogen
step by step.
His expression was icy, a bit colder than his usual hard face, as if he
could freeze everything around him instantly.
Imogen was stunned momentarily and then smiled, "Oh, what a pity.
How did you catch up with me?"
Lamia moved to Cordelia's side in small steps, trembling. "Cordelia, I'm
most afraid of Ben. Please help me block him. I'm scared even as I see
him."
Ben raised his hand and pinched the back of Imogen's slender neck.
"Why didn't you tell me you were leaving?"
Ben probably exerted force in his hands, and Imogen couldn't laugh
immediately.
"It is not necessary. I have nothing to do with you."
Cordelia turned around and asked Lamia, hiding behind her, "Did your
brother tell Ben?"
Lamia said weakly, "I'm not sure, but it seems to be. Because Ben
helped Elijah find an excellent doctor who said he could cure Eva's
leg..."
