Chapter 17
Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)
Chapter 17 Agreed to Get Divorced
âStalk you?â Cordelia asked inexplicably.
Elijah had a bad attitude, and his tone was very aggressive. âI've already
seen you.â
Cordelia looked around and immediately saw Elijah walking slowly out
of the hospital building.
She frowned slightly, looked away, and hung up the phone.
When Elijah approached, a cold voice sounded above Cordeliaâs head.
âIt's a waste of your talent. You should become a private detective.â
Elijah looked down at the top of Cordeliaâs head. Her hair was well-
groomed and draped gently on her shoulders, exuding coquettishness,
which made her delicate face extraordinarily flawless.
Cordelia stared ahead without even looking at him. âYou should go to
have an examination in the neurology department.â
âStop rambling. Then tell me what you are doing in the hospital,â Elijah
said seriously.
âA hospital is not a good place to visit. Except for seeing a patient, no
one would like to come here.â Cordelia got up and looked at him
coldly. âElijah, if you don't want the marriage arranged by your family,
you should resist your family to marry someone you love. Donât mess
with me every day.â
After Elijah heard what she said, his eyes were fixed. He stared at her
face with a pair of sharp eyes.
After a long while, he said, âCordelia, what do you mean?â
âYou don't need to play dumb. I..."
At this moment, Elijahâs phone rang.
He was in a bad mood, so he pressed the speakerphone to answer it.
âWhat?â
âMr. Hansen, Mrs. Hansen is crying hard. Where have you been? Mrs.
Hansen wants to see you!"
Elijah held the phone in his hand, but his gaze never moved away from
Cordeliaâs face.
âOkay. Tell her I'll be right back.â
After he finished speaking, Cordelia turned around and was about to
leave.
Unexpectedly, Elijah chased her directly to the side of the car and
pressed her against the car door.
âWhere do you go?â
At this time, Elijahâs tone was a little less serious and a little more
casual.
Cordelia bit her lip and pushed his strong chest. Then she looked up at
him with slightly red eyes.
Seeing that she was angry, Elijah smiled instead.
He lifted Cordeliaâs jaw, lowered his head, and kissed her attractive lips.
Cordelia was taken aback for a moment, then suddenly exerted force to
bite his lip hard and pushed him away suddenly.
Elijah was caught off guard. He took two steps back, and the pain in his
lip made his face completely cold.
âYour wife is waiting for you. You should go back quickly. Don't you feel
guilty about cheating on her here?â Cordelia said ironically.
"Aren't you always very confident? Just a wrong address makes you
lose confidence?â He said. At the same time, he thought, âOr are you
deliberately finding fault with me, wanting to get divorced and find
your brother as soon as possible?â
However, before Elijah could say what he was thinking, Cordelia already
broke down.
âThat's true. I donât have confidence, okay? I've had it enough, Elijah!
Please spare an hour and go to get the divorce certificate with me
quickly. From then on, we'll be strangers in the future!â
Elijah was slightly stunned, and his eyes dimmed in an instant.
âCordelia, you... very well! You were the one who begged to marry me,
and you were the one who tried every means to force. me to have a
baby with you.â
Cordeliaâs lips trembled,
bled, but her eyes looked at without dodging.
She didn't expect that in Elijahâs eyes, and she was so shameless from
beginning to end!
Seeing that she kept silent and didn't intend to give in at all, Elijah
became impatient.
He said coldly, "Okay. If you are willing to get divorced without getting
any property, I will agree to divorce. And we will do it tomorrow!â
Cordelia closed her eyes and took a deep breath. âOkay. See you at the
Courthouse at nine o'clock tomorrow morning!â
Elijahâs eyes seemed to be brewing a storm which could erupt at any
time.
âRemember to arrive on time,â Cordelia reminded again.
Elijah smiled. âWe'll meet in the Courthouse at nine 9 o'clock tomorrow.
The one who doesnât show up will be called a dog!â
