Chapter 255

Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)

Chapter 255 He Was Allergic

When the banquet was about to end, Cordelia was a little dizzy because

she helped Milo to drink wine. She came to the platform alone to

breathe.

Breathing the fresh air, she felt much more comfortable, so she stayed

on the platform for a while longer.

"Mr. Holland, didn't we agree that I would come to Beilve City? No

matter how busy you are, you will meet me. I don't care. I will go to the

club to find you later. Is that the deal?"

Wish fulfilled, she hung up the phone. Laura put away her phone

happily and saw the woman standing on the edge of the platform at a

glance.

Laura was surprised to find Evie was there.

The world was too small!

Laura was Zach's favorite apprentice. But after she studied medicine,

Evie's skill was like a high mountain for Laura. She couldn't climb it.

And what they had learned was totally different.

However, tonight, the man she had her eyes on was taken by this

woman first, which made her intolerable!

"Evie?"

Her mouth opened fast, but she was still thinking. She had already

taken the initiative to confront it head-on!

Hearing the sound, Cordelia slowly turned her head to look at the

woman and said lightly, "Don’t call me in this way. We're not close

friends.”

Laura was taken aback for a moment, then immediately changed her

words and stepped forward enthusiastically. "What? You are angry with

me, aren't you? I was joking with Mr. Hansen just now. Evie, don't take

it seriously.”

"I'm not angry. The last lady who wanted to make love with Elijah is

now a dancer in the club. What a pity! That's right? Ms. Price,” Cordelia

said lightly.

Laura immediately stopped laughing. "Evie, you're kidding."

Cordelia said seriously, "I am serious. Before you asked him out, didn't

you investigate in advance? He is allergic.”

"Could it be that there is something wrong with the perfume I'm using

today?" Laura held her chest and took a half step back, regretting that

she hadn't inquired about Elijah's personal preferences in advance.

Cordelia shook her head with a half-smile. "It's not perfume. It's you. He

can't be close to you."

After finishing saying that, Cordelia turned and left.

When Laura realized it, she became anxious immediately. "Are you

kidding me? Evie? Why are you so proud? You just stay close to him. He

chooses you. If you are an attractive woman, will you compete fairly

with me?"

"I suggest that you take some ice water to wake up your mind. If your

brain gets into the water, have an operation as soon as possible. Don't

do silly things." Cordelia left without looking back.

Afterward, she simply put this episode behind her.

Later, the banquet was over, and Cordelia was preparing to leave with

Milo,

"Evie."

Suddenly, a male voice called her from behind.

This familiar voice, who else could it be if it wasn't Elijah?

So, she and Milo turned back to see who was talking.

Milo took a serious look at Elijah and then looked him up and down

with extremely critical eyes for a long while.

"Mr. Carter, I know that you still think I cannot be her boyfriend. But I

will love her forever. And I'll try harder to get your promise,” Elijah

lowered his posture and said in the humble tone of a junior.

Only then did Milo’s expression soften a little, and he nodded and said,

"It is true that there has been some improvement compared to before,

but you still have to continue to work hard. Don't be arrogant!”

"l will, Mr. Carter.” Elijah nodded.

Cordelia tried hard to hold back her laughter. It was the first time that

Elijah was so obedient in front of his elders, like a tamed big dog.

"Okay, you send Cordelia home!"

With that said, Milo pushed Cordelia, turned around, and left with his

hands behind his back. His back still looked energetic.

Elijah happily hugged Cordelia and lowered his head to kiss her on the

mouth.

Milo saw this scene when he turned his head and immediately jumped

up and said, "You brat! Stop it"
