A few seconds later, Imogen sent Cordelia an emoji back showing

“Salute.”

Suddenly, Cordelia was slapped on the shoulder, damn heavily.

She frowned and looked up, finding Laura standing in front of her.

"Evie, we meet again. What a coincidence.”

Cordelia nodded slightly at her, brushed her shoulders, and kept silent.

She had no interest in talking to Laura.

"Are you going to dine out with Mr. Holland?" Laura leaned down with

an evil smile, and said in her ear, "Tell you a secret, Mr. Holland came to

my room last night.”

Cordelia said with a smirk, "Big deal. You're really something."

"But tonight, he's yours. I was exhausted last night!" Laura said with

pride.

Cordelia got up and said calmly, "Just one night, you got exhausted?

You, as an apprentice of the master Zach, cannot even have a strong

body. Shameful for you!"

Then Cordelia turned and left.

Laura lost command of countenance for a moment, irritated but had no

chance to fight back.

Because she had seen Eason's frozen face in the distance.

Thinking back to last night... she never wanted to experience it again in

Eason walked out of the restaurant with Cordelia, he was considering

whether to explain what had happened last night to her.

However, Cordelia had already called a taxi.

have something to do with what happened to Laura and Eason last

night.

She wanted to go to the company to ask Elijah for clarification!

Eason stood by the roadside, with eyes dimmed.

"Where are you going? I'll give you a ride.”

Remember it, please!" Then, Cordelia got into the taxi.

Soon, the taxi drove away.

Eason stood still in a sense of loss, his eyes dimmed deeper.

He suddenly laughed at himself. "Any need to explain? She didn't care

about it at all.”

Then, he returned to his car and left at full speed.

When Cordelia arrived at Hansen Group, it was quiet inside.

Because it was already nine o'clock, the elevators were vacant. Cordelia

didn’t notify Elijah to pick her up. She went up directly with the

employees’ elevator.

Just as Cordelia was about to knock on the door of Elijah’s office, a

woman's voice came from inside.

"Elijah, we grew up together, I think it is unfair for you to lose the

master's position of the Hansen family. It is close at hand!

"Can't you be flexible? As long as we get the marriage certificate, we

can get what we want.

"Everything can maintain the status quo. I won't interfere with any

woman you want to be with."

Cordelia recognized that it was Daisy's voice.

She tried to persuade Elijah with attractive terms.

She was willing to give Elijah freedom. Their marriage could be a deal

for each to get what they need.

Elijah did not speak anything.

Silent for over ten seconds, and then Daisy said with shyness, "Elijah, I

am still a virgin. I want to give my first night to you. Come and have a

check!"
