Elijah left

Cordelia couldn't sleep, so she sent a message to Adam.

[Don't worry, Cordelia. Just leave it to me. You can set your mind at rest.

Ben will never find Imogen. You have my words.]

Receiving Adam's reply, Cordelia couldn't help laughing.

"Hopefully, Imogen can start a new life!" Cordelia said to herself.

Even with Adam's guarantee, Cordelia still didn't sleep well.

She had a lot of messy dreams.

There was a very scary one.

Ben found Imogen and broke her leg.

Cordelia awakened from that dream and found that it was already

dawn. She couldn't fall asleep again.

After spending a busy day at Elia Research Institute, Eason asked

Cordelia to have dinner together. At that very moment, Elijah called.

"I'll wait for you downstairs."

He sounded very tired.

In no time, Cordelia rejected Eason's invitation, picked up her bag, and

left.

Eason stood by the window and saw Elijah's car parked downstairs.

He slowly closed his eyes when he saw Cordelia and Elijah hugging

each other tightly.

After having dinner, Elijah took Cordelia to the club.

Cordelia didn't want to go.

Because she knew that Elissa was there and probably with Ben.

However, Elijah promised Ben to have a meeting with Cordelia, so Ben

would back off.

"I think it's better for you to meet him for now, so he won't constantly

harass you in the future, which could be very annoying.” Elijah smiled.

"Elijah, don't you think Ben is acting like an asshole? He spends most of

his time enjoying himself with the company of countless women, yet he

keeps badgering Imogen.”

Cordelia looked serious even when she was swearing.

Elijah squeezed Cordelia's face. "Imogen is Ben's favorite.”

"Hell no!" Cordelia frowned. "The woman he has been thinking about

for so many years has always been Elissa. Ben has sacrificed a lot for

her."

Elijah was calm, and he didn't argue with Cordelia.

As soon as she walked into the bar, Cordelia smelled a mixture of cheap

perfume, alcohol, and smoke.

She covered her nose with her brows knitted.

Ben was slightly drunk. When he saw Cordelia, there was a glimmer of

hope in his eyes.

"Where is Cordelia? I know that you know. You tell me, and I owe you

one. I will repay you whenever you need my help.”

A smile lit up Cordelia's face. "It's okay to tell you where Cordelia is. But

I don't need you to owe me. How about we make a deal?"

Ben leaned forward as his eyes started to light up. "I'm listening."

"It's very simple. As long as you break up with Elissa, no matter how she

is doing, it has nothing to do with you. I'll tell you where Imogen is

right away?" Cordelia looked straight at Ben.

As Cordelia expected, Ben's face darkened at once.

"Cordelia, you go too far!"

Ben said through gritted teeth.
