Chapter 295

Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)

Chapter 295 I Won't Forgive Him

Early the next morning, Elijah finally tried to call Cordelia.

Unfortunately, no matter how many times he tried, he couldn't get

through.

He dialed repeatedly, and Cordelia's phone was ringing, but no one

answered

On his twentieth attempt, Eason's voice came through on the other end

of the line.

"You're already someone else's fiancé. Why are you bothering

Cordelia?" Eason asked coldly.

"Let Cordelia answer the phone. I need to explain to her,” Elijah said

anxiously.

"You don't have the right to do that!" Eason said and hung up the

phone directly.

Adam, who was standing aside, immediately chimed in, "Cordelia, that's

right! They probably spent the night together. Why should you listen to

his explanation?”

Imogen remained silent on the side.

Although Imogen didn't think Elijah was that kind of person, the facts

were right in front of her. He didn't call until this morning, which made

her feel sorry for Cordelia.

Cordelia nodded and said, "Don't worry, Adam, I won't pay any

attention to him."

Then, she handed her phone over to Eason, not wanting to hear any

explanations from Elijah.

Adam said with relief, "That's right, Cordelia. I knew you were someone

who could let go."

Cordelia lowered her gaze and didn't say anything.

She used to be someone who could let go, but now she was someone

who couldn't.

That was why she dared not listen to Elijah's voice or read his messages,

fearing that she would soften her heart.

If Elijah flew to Grant City and explained things to her in person, then it

would be a different story. She would give him a chance to explain.

Cordelia thought so in her heart.

However, Elijah didn't do that.

Cordelia thought perhaps he was tired and gave up!

And it might be for the best.

They shouldn't have been together in the first place. Forcing themselves

to be together would only bring constant suffering.

And their feelings for each other were not strong enough to withstand

any difficulties they might face.

Cordelia felt it was better this way.

After leaving Adam's house, Eason suggested, "Cordelia, it's not a long-

term solution for you to keep staying in hotels. Why not stay at my

place for now? I haven't been living in that house for a long time, and

there's a cleaning service that keeps it tidy. You can move in directly.”

Listening to Eason's unusually lengthy speech, Cordelia smiled faintly

and said, "Eason, I'm not made of glass. I won't be devastated by a lost

love. You don't have to be so cautious.”

Eason raised his hand and couldn't help but pat her head. "Don't be

afraid, and you still have me."

The atmosphere in the car was just right, and Eason didn't say anything

more. He took Cordelia directly to the hotel to check out.

After that, he brought Cordelia back to his apartment.

"Is this apartment in the same neighborhood as your mom?" Cordelia

got out of the car and looked around, asking.

"Yes." Eason pointed to a nearby building. "She lives in that one.”

Cordelia nodded and was about to pick up her luggage.

"I got it!" Eason immediately took over, leading the way into the

apartment while Cordelia obediently followed behind.

At this moment, a paparazzo dressed in casual attire emerged from the

shadows and sent all the information he had taken along the way to

someone named "Miss Flores" in his contacts.

At the Maple Villa in Beilve City.

Elijah was sitting at his desk, dealing with work.

He wasn't working on Hansen Group's business at the moment but

rather on his own company's work.

As early as three years ago, when he was forced into a marriage alliance

and accepted the position of the executive president of the Hansen

Group, he had already started to build his own team, preparing for the

future.

And now, his company had gained some fame overseas and had made

it into the Global 500

However, even though he was sitting here, his mind couldn't calm

down.

At this moment, his phone suddenly started ringing loudly, with a

barrage of text messages flooding in.

Elijah frowned and picked up his phone,

Immediately, the veins on his forehead bulged, and his face darkened

visibly.
