Chapter 30
Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)
Chapter 30 Men Are All Same
It was a terrible thing to see women go nuts.
Cordelia had never seen Janice go crazy like this!
She must be under a lot of pressure from the Deleon family. Perhaps
she was also afraid of losing her current luxurious life.
Nevertheless, Janice was Cordeliaâs mother, after all. Therefore, Cordelia
didn't fight back. She just restrained her mother and avoided her, but
she still got hurt a bit.
Later, the security guards came out and took Janice under control. They
asked Cordelia if she wanted to call the police, but Cordelia waved her
hand.
âMrs. Janice Deleon, I didn't expect you to be so selfish that you would
make a fool of yourself for the sake of a so-called good life.â
Cordelia's tone was calm. Her neck had a few scratches, but she
remained calm and composed.
Janice, on the other hand, was in a mess, and her eyes were full of
hatred.
âIf I knew you were to be such an ungrateful bastard, I should have
strangled you to death when you were young!â
It was hard to hear a mother scolding her own daughter like this.
In fact, Cordelia was almost an orphan.
Her grandmother brought her up, and she had no family after her
grandmother passed away.
One day, Janice suddenly came to the countryside and took her back to
Beilve City. She thought Janice regretted abandoning her and wanted
to make up for her. However, Janice just wanted to âsellâ her!
Cordelia wanted to refuse the deal.
However, when she found out that the person she was going to marry
was Elijah, she obeyed. She thought her life would finally turn out to be
good.
Unfortunately, she was wrong all along!
That night, Cordelia got drunk alone in a small bar.
She squinted at the young man singing on stage and tipped him a
thousand dollars.
The man was flattered, and after singing, he took the initiative to keep
Cordelia company.
Cordelia became drunk and fell on the table.
âMiss, can you tell me where you live? I'll take you home.â The man
asked gently.
"Home?" Cordelia suddenly laughed, tears streaming down her face.
She had no home.
She lost her home when her grandmother passed away!
âHow did she get so drunk?â A stern male voice suddenly sounded.
âI don't know, Sir.â The young man answered.
âStay away from her!â

"O-okay..."
Cordelia was crying when someone suddenly pinched her shoulders
and helped her from the table.
âWhat have you done, Cordelia? If our grandfather knows about this, he
will give you a hard time, you know?" Elijah reprimanded viciously.
âWhat grandfather? I don't have a grandfather, and I don't even know
who my father is!â Cordelia waved her hand, trying to shake off Elijahâs
hand.
But she couldn't. Elijah wouldn't let her go, which annoyed Cordelia.
She pouted and retorted, âWhy are you being so annoying? I hate you!
Where's the young man just now?â
Elijah wasn't very angry until she spoke of the young singer.
He squeezed Cordeliaâs wrist vigorously and asked ferociously, âWhat?
Do you like that young man?â
