Chapter 318

Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)

Chapter 318 Residence

Eason, who realized this too late, suddenly understood why he always

lost to Elijah.

However, if he had another chance, he still wouldn't do his best.

He and Elijah were different from the beginning to the end.

Cordelia was sitting in the waiting room, closing her eyes and having a

rest, when a familiar voice sounded from not far away.

"No, thanks."

Cordelia suddenly opened her eyes and saw Elijah sitting two seats

away from her.

She immediately withdrew her gaze, frowning slightly.

At this time, she received a message requesting to add friends on her

phone.

Cordelia unconsciously looked in Elijah’s direction, and he was indeed

looking here.

So, she looked at Elijah and said silently, "Boring."

Not long after, Elijah sent another request message and explained, "I

have a business to discuss with you. Please give me a chance.”

Cordelia ignored him again and continued to rest with her eyes closed

until boarding the plane.

The flight time was only more than two hours, and Cordelia arrived

soon after a nap.

So, when she woke up again, she found that the lady sitting next to her

had disappeared and was replaced by Elijah.

At this time, Elijah was reading the document intently with a handsome

side face toward Cordelia.

He seemed to have sensed her gaze. Elijah turned to look at Cordelia

and asked in a low voice, "Are you awake? The plane is about to land."

"Alright," Cordelia responded coldly.

Elijah closed the document and looked at her with a faint smile. "I really

have something to say. It would be more convenient to talk on the

phone when we can't meet.”

Cordelia smiled coldly and said, "But I have blacklisted all your contact

information before. You can contact Milo's assistant for work matters."

After saying that, Cordelia ignored him again.

Elijah smiled kindly. "Okay, thank you for your proposal.”

After all, he owed Cordelia, and he had no right to lose his temper no

matter how Cordelia treated him now.

After getting off the plane, Elijah took the initiative to help Cordelia

with her luggage.

Cordelia put on her sunglasses and walked out of the airport

expressionlessly.

She thought she could just take a taxi and run away, but she saw

Samuel and his wife.

"Miss Carter."

From a distance, Samuel's wife, Jenny, was waving at Cordelia.

She was dressed very decently today with perfect makeup.

Moreover, judging from her complexion, she should have fully

recovered, and she looked ten years younger than before.

"Hello, Mr. Whitman and Mrs. Whitman." Cordelia greeted them with a

smile.

"Miss Carter, I was looking forward to meeting you again, and finally,

you are here," Jenny said and enthusiastically held Cordelia’s arm.

Cordelia was naturally a little uncomfortable with Jenny's warmth.

But now that she was wearing sunglasses, Jenny could hardly see her

expression. For a long time afterward, Jenny held Cordelia's arm and

chatted enthusiastically with her.

"Miss Carter, I heard that you are going to stay in Bloom City for some

days. My husband and I have prepared a residence for you. You can live

there,” Jenny said sincerely.

Cordelia waved her hand quickly. "Thank you, but I can't.”

But Jenny said seriously, "Evie, you gave me a new life. I live happily

every day and enjoy a high-quality life. Please let me do something for

you, okay?"

Cordelia couldn't refuse Jenny, so she nodded politely. "Well, thank

you."

"Great!" Jenny was overjoyed.

Samuel said at the right time, "Look, just as I said, you were too nervous

before and always thought too much. Miss Carter is a very easy-going

person.”

Jenny smiled awkwardly.

Cordelia watched the couple finish the show and followed them to her

new residence.
