Chapter 336

Wake Up! You’re My Ex Now (Cordelia)

Chapter 336 Overestimated Herself

If Elijah had acted tough, stared at her, and acted as a dominant CEO,

Cordelia would have ignored him completely.

But the way he was now... Cordelia's heart trembled slightly.

After all, he was Elijah!

Would he really bow down, put aside his pride, and beg for her?

Cordelia raised her hand slightly, then hesitated. She felt a bit unsure of

what to do.

However, Elijah grabbed her hand and placed it on his chest.

"Cordelia, my heart is filled with you," Elijah said affectionately.

In his amber eyes, Cordelia's face was reflected as if he wanted to pull

her in and lock her there forever.

But after just a few seconds, Cordelia slowly withdrew her hand from

Elijah’s palm.

During this process, Elijah felt like his heart was slowly tearing apart and

bleeding.

"Go ahead, do what you need to do." Cordelia stood up, moving away

from the sofa and moving away from him.

In this world, there was no such thing as having it all.

Cordelia had once wanted to be the woman by his side, but in the end,

she had become a stumbling block in Elijah's career.

She had clearly overestimated herself. Elijah had never considered her,

never taken her seriously.

Now that he had resolved his issues, did he think he could just pick her

up again?

In this world, nothing was so perfect.

Cordelia didn't know when Elijah had left, but she didn’t care.

In the evening, she received a call from Adam inquiring about her well-

being.

"Cordelia, no one has been bothering you these past few days, right?"

Cordelia guessed that Adam must have learned something, prompting

him to ask that way, so she told him the truth.

Imogen, who was beside him, immediately chimed in. "See, I told you!

Clare's true colors have finally been revealed.”

Cordelia replied indifferently, "This matter has nothing to do with me

anymore. Whatever Elijah wants to do to Price Group is his business. I

have no connection with him now."

Knowing that Cordelia and Elijah hadn't reconciled, Adam audibly

sighed in relief.

"If you need anything, remember to tell us, Cordelia. Don't hesitate,” he

said.

Cordelia smiled and agreed.

"Also, Cordelia, the person you're looking for, Henry, I have found him.

But there's been a bit of an issue. We'll discuss it in detail when we

meet!" Adam said.

Cordelia's heart suddenly tensed.

"Is he okay?" Cordelia asked, worried about the current state of Henry.

Seeing Adam's hesitant demeanor, Cordelia feared that Henry might

not be in good shape.

"He's doing well! I'll explain it to you in more detail when I have some

free time. I'll hang up now!" Adam replied and ended the call

Cordelia stared at her phone after it was disconnected. "Why is Adam

acting so strangely?"

After thinking for a while, Cordelia called another private investigator

she had recently gotten to know, asking him to help investigate Henry's

current situation.

Now, the turmoil in Beilve City had more or less subsided, and Milo had

allowed Cordelia to return.

So, two days later, Cordelia bid farewell to Jenny, returned to the house,

and left Bloom City.

Her first task upon returning to Beilve City was to visit Milo.

It had been several months since she had last seen Milo, and Cordelia

missed him.

That was the plan, but when she arrived at the airport, she didn't expect

Elijah to be there to pick her up.

"Your information network is quite efficient.”

Cordelia remarked with a slight smile, wearing sunglasses.

"Cordie, welcome back," Elijah said, opening his arms to greet her.
