Chapter 133
The Luna’s Choice by Kat Silver
Chapter 133: Ayla âBriggs said they just found something we need to see,â Theo said. âKingston is on his way out to také us.â
âKingston is with Briggs?â I asked, shocked.
âAlpha Amvorov helped us find you,â Randy said.
I could tell Theo wasnât happy about the situation, but he was murderous. So I was grateful I hadnât told him what happened the last time I was in Sablemane.
âDo you think youâre up for it?â Theo asked me. âIf not, Iâll let Briggs handle it.â
âIâm fine,â I said.
And honestly, I was. Besides being pretty sore from being tied up for days, I felt like I had caught a second wind. I knew I probably needed the rest more, and it would likely come back to bite me later, but I wanted to find out whatever we could while we were here.
Theo looked at me hesitantly.
âReally,â I insisted. âIâm fine.â
Theo kissed my cheek before standing. He pulled a shirt on and then grabbed my hand. We were heading for the entry point when Kingston emerged. His eyes immediately went to me.
âAre you okay?â he asked, trying to mask the sadness in his voice as his eyes fell to my hand in Theoâs.
Chapter 133: Ayla 288 Vouchere âIâm good,â I said. âThank you for helping.â
He gave me a strange look. âDid you think Iâd be anywhere else?â
âWhat is it you need to show us, Amvorov?â Theo interrupted.
Kingston shot him a look but quickly cleared his expression. âWe found a... lair, I guess you could call it. Looks like your old Beta has been busy. Ayla doesnât need to see this.â
Theo raised an eyebrow.
âAfter what Iâve been through this week,â I interjected, âIâm pretty sure I can handle it.â
Theo smirked and Kingstonâs jaw tightened as Randy joined us.
âAre we going to need any equipment for this?â he asked, slinging a backpack over his shoulder.
âNo,â was all Kingston said before turning around and heading back inside.
Randy whistled lowly. âHe sure is holding a torch for you,â he stated quietly. âIâm glad Iâm not an Alpha.â
He gave me a wink before following Kingston inside. Theo shook his head and squeezed my hand, leading me ahead of him. I didnât know how long it would take us to get to this lair, but I was glad Randy was with us. I knew I didnât have the strength to deal with Theo and Kingston alone.
Luckily, we didnât have too far to go. We entered what, I believed, was once a living quarter. Briggs rushed up and gave me a big bear hug, lifting me off the ground.
Chapter 133: Ayla 288 iVouchers âIâm glad my mate doesnât have to kill me for letting anything happen to you,â he teased.
âYou know you love me,â I joked back.
The room was lit up by stand lights that I guess had already been here, along with a generator in the corner. There was furniture piled up on one side next to a bed with moth-eaten blankets. The fact that it seemed it had been slept in made me cringe.
But the other side of the room, that made my skin crawl.
The place was bigger than I had expected. There was a corner with a workstation filled with various chemicals and electronics.
There was a desk covered in papers, many tacked up on the wall above it. Then...
Then there was the wall dedicated to me.
It was like a shrine. Pictures of me at all ages. Some that had to have been stolen. I stepped closer and swallowed a gasp. There was a picture of me and Theo from the night we were together at the lake. I snat**ed it off the wall and tore it up. Theoâs arm went around my waist, pulling me away.
âI know youâre upset, baby,â he said gently.
âIâm pis**d off,â I retorted. I was fuming. âThat bas**rd had to taint everything. I have half a mind to storm down the hall and kill him again. In fact, a broken neck is too good for that ps***o. Iâm going to tear him into pieces.â
Theo grabbed me as I started heading for the door.
âSweetheart,â he said calmly, snaking his arms around me, âwe donât need to waste time mutilating dead bodies. Just breathe.â

Chapter 133: Ayla 288 Vouchers I took a few deep breaths, leaning into my mate.
âIs this Dasha?â Kingston asked quietly, looking at a picture of my golden wolf.
âYeah,â I nodded.
Randy tsked, shaking his head. âThatâs disappointing.â
âWhat?â I said a little defensively. Theoâs and Kingstonâs attention both snapped to him as well.
âI would have preferred to see her for the first time in person,â he replied with another wink. âIâm sure the camera canât do her justice.â
âI can attest to that,â Theo agreed.
âSo, do we have any idea what the rest of this is?â I asked, moving to the desk. âDo we think weâve got anything useful?â
âThereâs no way to tell yet,â Randy said, picking up vials and checking labels. âThereâs no point bringing a team out here. Our best bet is to load up what we can and go over it later.â
âWeâll take it back to the Greytooth packhouse,â Theo said. âIâll have a home base set up in the cellar. Iâm sure I can put Mina on this full-time for now.
â
I picked up a notebook from under a pile of papers. It looked to be a journal. Although not much of it seemed coherent. It could be coded. Harry was out of his mind, but he wasnât unintelligible-ramblings- crazy.
I tucked the journal under my arm and began helping the others put things in boxes we had found. It took longer than expected as we tried to keep things somewhat organized. I was starting to feel the week 69.91%

âCome on, babe,â Theo said. âThey can finish this up. Letâs get you out of here.â
I nodded. I didnât know where we were going exactly. We werenât exactly close to civilization. But I didnât care as long as it had a clean bed big enough for me and my mate.
