Chapter 155
The Luna’s Choice by Kat Silver
Chapter 2: Ayla I woke up to Theo nuzzling my neck. I groaned as I snuggled closer to him.
âGood morning, love,â he said, kissing my jaw. âWe need to get up.â
I scrunched my nose, lifting my head to squint at the clock.
âUm, babe... do you realize itâs only fourâthirty,â I croaked, falling back onto the pillow and pulling his arm around me.
He chuckled. âIâm well aware. Thatâs why we need to get up.
â
âI donât know what youâre talking about, mate, but I already donât like it.â
His warmth disappeared from behind me and the covers were pulled off. I pushed onto my elbow with a growl.
âTheo,â I whined.
He laughed again, climbing up the bed. His teeth grazed my thigh below the hem of his Tâshirt I slept in. I tried to suppress a grin, biting my lip.
âIf thatâs what this is about, there were nicer ways,â I said.
Suddenly, he grabbed my legs and yanked me down the bed.
âThatâs very true,â he said huskily. âAnd I will make it a goal to perform each one another time. But today, we start training. So, get that sexy ass up and get moving.â
Cha 280 Vouchers He straightened and disappeared into the large master bathroom.
âWhat?â I said, shooting up on my hands. âWait. Hang on.â
I jumped up and followed him. He was in the attached walkâin closet, slipping into some athletic shorts.
âTheo, what training are you talking about? When did we discuss this?â
He made a face. âI guess we didnât,â he said. He came up to me, running his hands down my arms. âLook, baby, I know youâre skilled in selfâdefense, and thatâs fantastic. But I want to really train fight. As much as I would love to, I canât be with you twentyâ
four hours a day. And unless you want a whole security team foll.....â
âOkay,â I said eagerly.
Theo paused. âReally?â
I nodded. âYeah,â I replied. âI want to train.â
Theo smiled. âI wonât take it easy on you, babe.â
I c***ed my hip, giving him a look. âDid I ask you to?â
you to He laughed. âYou say that now. Get dressed and meet me in the gym. Youâve got ten minutes.â He grabbed a shirt and left the bathroom, slapping my ass on the way out.
I shook my head and rolled my eyes. But I was oddly excited.
The last three months had been hard, but the part that had been bothering me the most was the amount of times I felt helpless.
Especially in the hands of Harry. The idea of combat training had crossed my mind several times, but I hadnât entertained it much Chapter 2: Ayla 238 Wouchers because I had so much else on my plate. But if Theo wanted to teach me, I was willing.
âMe, too,â Dasha voiced in support. Her own excitement mirrored mine.
I threw on my workout clothes, brushed my teeth, and put my hair in a ponytail. I knew there was a private gym for the ranking pack members in the packhouse, but I had to mindâlink Theo to tell me where it was. When I arrived, Theo wasnât the only one there. Jimmy and a couple other males were scattered around the weights and weight machines.
Jimmy spotted me quickly, coming up to me with a big smile.
âAlpha said you were a morning person,â he said. âAnd I just won fifty bucks.â
âGood morning to you, too. And what?â I laughed.
âWe had a bet going on how stubborn you were going to be about this,â he said with a shrug. âI knew youâd be here.
Determination isnât the same as stubbornness.â
âYou know my mother is a gambling addict, right?â I said sternly. âYou really think itâs a good idea to be betting around me?â
Jimmyâs face fell and he started to stutter. I couldnât keep it up, and a broad smile spread across my face.
âIâm kidding, big guy,â I laughing. âIâm glad I came through for you. Whereâs Theo?â
He shook his with a sigh of relief. âHeâs back in the mat room.â
âThanks,â I said, heading toward the door he pointed out. âOh, and just so you know, Iâm always a safe bet,â I called over my shoulder.
Chapter 2: Ayla #288 Wouchers âDonât let that get out,â he said. âYouâll thin the pot.â
I found Theo as he was setting up some equipment at one end of the room. He knew the moment I entered the room and looked back at me.
âWhere are we starting?â I asked.
âStrength training,â he replied. âYouâre in good shape, babe, but you have almost no upper body strength. Youâll want that leverage in true combat. Then weâll work on seeing what you already know and go from there.â
He handed me a set of weights and we got working.
Two hours later, I was on my back, panting and covered in sweat.
âI guess weâll add that to the list,â Theo said, straddling me with a smug grin.
I huffed, pushing myself up. âYeah, yeah,â I said. âI get it. I have noodles for arms.
ââ
Theo chuckled. âBut youâre still f***ing sexy as hell, baby.â
He grabbed the nape of my neck as his mouth took mine. We had experienced a few of these moments of distraction. I guess neither of us considered what this close proximity activityâs hot and sweaty nature would do to our already heightened libidos.
âThatâs not how I do that move,â Jimmyâs teasing voice interrupted. âBriggs said Malcolm will be here in twenty.â
Theo sighed. âIâll meet them in my office.â
âRoger that,â Jimmy said. âAnd you know, Luna, if you actually want to learn something, instead of being mauled every five minutes, you Chapter 2 Ayta 288 Wouchure just say the word.â
Theo growled as Jimmy left laughing.
âYou know, he may have a point there,â I said, still fully aware of the intimate position we were still in and what it was doing to both of us.
Theo shook his head. âNo,â he stated. âWeâll manage.â
âDiversity is a good thing, babe,â I chided.
âYeah, but me wanting to rip my friendsâ arms off isnât,â Theo replied. âNone of my men are f***ing touching you.â
âOkay, fair enough,â I breathed, my eyes falling closed as he kissed down my neck. âWhat about lowâcontact training? You mentioned boxing. Jimmy or Briggs could always help with strength training, too.â
Theoâs chest rumbled. âIf you stop bringing them up while Iâm seducing you, Iâll think about it.â
He pushed me back, pressing my body into the mat.
âWell, youâll have to finish this later,â I said. âBecause youâve got twenty minutes to shower, and I have to get cleaned up to meet Mina in the cellar.â
Theo grunted. âYouâre killing me, babe.â
âIâll make it up to you,â I laughed.
