Bright Light

light pink flowers decorated the large ballroom, River wore a light blue suit with a ruffled lace tail on it, his hair done in a thick braid, and he wore the head chain he was gifted. They had a small ceremony, and now they were at the celebration. Geordo wore a dark gray suit with gold trim, his dark red eyes only leaving Rivers figure to look at the two children he adored.

"May i have this dance?" He asked, his hand held out as he gave a slight bow. River grinned as he placed his hand into his, he gave a small nod as he agreed. "You are a true beauty, and i can tell we will be busy fending off potential suitors for all of our children, my current concern being Astra," He said, River chuckled as he nodded his head. "But you have to agree, if they are brave enough to face you, then they must be strong, and bright, but it isn't us they have to worry about, i know all of our children will be strong in body and mind, Astra has a strong will, we can give our blessings but it is ultimately up to her," He agreed, Everyone watched the couple have their first dance as married partners. Astra was pulled into a dance by her brother, but as the taller of them, she led the dance.

Instead of a week alone, or a fancy outing as a newly blinded family, they chose to spend a week i the local woods, camping as a family. Knights were ordered to patrol around them, but not to interfere and hopefully go unnoticed. "Dad, pull the line in! you have a fish, you have a fish!" Astra cheered, Geordo pulled the fishing line in, soon landing a small blue-scaled fish. "That tiny thing gave such a fight, i thought it was at least three times this size," She giggled as she removed it from the hook, then tossed it into the bucket. Elios trotted over with a basket of berries he had picked, behind him River carried a basket of herbs and veggies he had found. "Have you two caught dinner?" He asked, Geordo rubbed his neck with an awkward chuckle. "I am not a great fisherman, Astra has caught two large fish while i have caught one that is almost small enough to use as bait," Astra patted his back, and Elios told him it was okay. "I could dive in and catch a few more, we do eat quite a bit," He said as he sat the basket down, Astra offered to get the fire started if Elios would help her with setting up the wood. Once she had left with the basket and the bucket of fish to get started, River removed his shoes before stripping down to his white undershorts. Geordo grabbed him by the waist, pulling him in for a hug as he pressed his nose against his shoulder. "You are too beautiful..." He whispered, placing a gentle kiss on his neck.

River slid off the old dock, his body disappearing into the depths of the water, the last bit of him Geordo saw was the light flashing off of his white hair. only a few moments passed before he broke the surface of the water, the tails of two large fish with long whiskers hung from his mouth as his webbed hands grasped the dock and pulled himself up onto it. Geordo took the fish from him, he was going to offer his shirt as a cloth to dry with, but once he had tied his wet hair up his body dried quickly. "I forget that you could dry so quickly as if it repels water when you wish..." His words trailed off as he looked down at the damp fabric he wore, it was practically see-through, allowing him a decent view of what was under it. His face flushed as he turned his gaze away, River chuckled as he stood, and with a slight wave of his hand, the water evaporated from his shorts before he pulled on his clothing. "No need to turn your gaze away, we are married after all, and my body is for you," He said in a whisper, then he took the fish from his hold and walked toward the children. Geordo swallowed the lump in his throat, a puff of smoke escaping his mouth as he tried to calm himself, he did not feel like answering the questions Elios would ask if he saw the tent in his trousers.

"Papa, dis week... was so... fun," Elios trailed off, his eyelids falling shut as he slipped into sleep next to Astra. River kissed their foreheads before climbing out of the tent, he and Geordo were not tired yet, so they sipped on the pale ale they brought with them as they sat by the dying fire. "Their skills still amaze me, i thought Astra had possibly used magic to lure the fish in, but she hadn't, and Elios can identify edible berries," River smiled, he moved closer to Geordo to lay his head on his arm. "They are so happy that you are showing interest in these things, i quite like seeing your work with them," He purred softly, fingers intertwining with his as their hands rested in Geordo's lap. "I know i have said it many times before, but i will continue to say it, you have done an amazing job with them, they are smart, strong, and so happy and healthy," He placed his cup down so he could use that hand to hold RIvers face, his deep red eyes looking into the purple eyes of his spouse. "My beautiful light," He murmured, RIver leaned up and pressed their lips together as his free hand grasped Geordo's shirt. The kiss started slow, but soon became heated. River lay in the grass with Geordo on top of him, his larger arms caging him in as he had his legs hooked around the larger man's waist. River's claws gently scraped at Geordo's scalp, they panted as their mouths pulled apart. "We- we should stop, we might wake them," Geordo whispered, his voice thick and gruff. River nodded in agreement, face flushed as they sat up to adjust their clothing.
