(3) If You're Going To Make Out, Please Don't Do It In Front Of Me

I Made A Bet With The Bad Boy ✔️

"You WHAT?!" Tessa screamed. Her eyes widened in...shock? Fear?

"It was just a ride!"

"On his freaking motorcycle! Where you wrap your arms around his waist! Become all close and intimate! Please tell me you did nothing else..." Tessa sighed, slumping down in my beanbag chair.

"I made a bet with him too, it was no-"

"Again...You WHAT?! You don't just go around making bets with bad boys! He is bad-"

"Blah blah blah, bad news." I rolled my eyes. "It was just a bet about how he'll get me whatever I want, as long as I don't fall in love with him in the next few months."

"Cas..." Tessa sighed, slapping her palm to her forehead. "Good girls always fall for the bad boys."

So clićhe. Whoever came up with that idea, which would probably be every author that writes teen fiction or romance, is stupid.

"Tessa. I promise you that I won't fall for him. You know me, I never fall in love."

"Ok. I just want the best for you. I don't want you to get hurt. Especially with problems like Alissa and Charlie and stuff."

"Thanks. I know I won't get hurt. He might be a bad boy, but I'm smart. Ok?" I smiled.

"Ok." She smiled back.

"Oh my god! Thanks so much Cassie for coming to the mall with me! I can't believe Charlie would just break up with me like that!" She said, screaming at the end in frustration.

"Anything for a friend." I rolled my eyes, looking away so she couldn't see.

Yesterday, when I was supposed to be having a peaceful Saturday morning, I was awaken by Charlie's frustrated cries and Alissa's loud screeching through his phone.

Who knew that was going to be the best day of my life?

Yeah. They broke up!

Now that I look at it... It sounds kind of cruel...

I mean, I love my brother and I feel really bad about him and Alissa. But...

Come on, they broke up! I can't not celebrate in my mind.

So now I'm on one of Alissa's frustration shopping sprees. Riding her Lambo to the bigger mall 20 minutes away from our town.

"But I can't be fucking single!...It's sooo embarrassing!" She sighed.

"Then go date someone."

"Who though?" She grinned slightly.

"I mean there's Mason Gate." I said, looking through my phone.

"He's too nice."

Too nice?

"Arnold Getta?"

"His name is too weird. I want a boyfriend with a name girls would swoon at right away!" She battered her eyelashes, smiling.

"Picky, picky...Goodness gracious." I mumbled.

When we arrived at the mall, Alissa quickly left me alone to visit some high fashioned rich people store. I made my way to the smoothie cart.

"Hey Beck, Jacob."

"Sup Cas."

"Hey Cassie."

Becky and Jacob Everet. They were friends of mine back in middle school and in high school. But I haven't been able to see them since they left our school. They control the smoothie cart along with their uncle. Every time I come and visit the 'bigger' mall I visit the cart to say high.

"God I haven't seen you guys since what? Last month? It was Uncle Joe handling the smoothie cart 2 weeks ago." I smiled, pulling Becky into a hug as well as Jacob.

"Yeah, we've been off duty for a while because next year we'll be freaking seniors!" Becky grinned, bumping her fist into Jacob's. "Our new school is amazing." She winks.

"And what about you Cassie? Anything different? Anyone new?" Jacob wiggled his eyebrows.

"I mean, Alissa is still Alissa. Tessa is still my bestie... So...No?" I lied. I didn't want to talk about Carter here anyways.

"You did meet someone new. Spill it loser." Becky snapped, grinning while making me my signature strawberry-banana smoothie that I get for free.

It's one of the perks of being best friends with them.

"No. I do not know what you are talking about-"

"Hey Cassiopeia!"

Oh great.

The one person I hoped that would stay out of my way is here!

When will this guy learn to stay out of people's conversations?

"Hmm...I have no idea who this stupid idiot is." I said through gritted teeth, rolling my eyes.

"I see how it is Cassie. You don't want them to know about our relationship." Carter winked.

This idiot.

"Wait. Cas, you're dating him?" Becky raised an eyebrow.

"No! No, no, no! He's just a jerk I met at school! I barely know him!" I lied. I could feel some of people's eyes on me based on how loud my voice was.

"Nah, she loves me. She has yet to admit it." Carter whispered, loud enough for me to hear.

"Idiot." I rolled my eyes.

"Sweetheart."

"Jerk."

"Loser."

"Hey guys? Enough with the name calling competition. We have to close up...Cas, here's your smoothie." Jacob smiled.

"You guys are leaving me with him?" I sighed.

"Sorry Cas!" Jacob laughed, pushing Carter and me away from the smoothie cart.

"See you two lovebirds soon!" Becky yelled as Carter and I walked off.

"Cassie! Sweetie! Who is this hottie..." Alissa smirked, gliding over to Carter and circling around him. Unfortunately to my eyes, Carter seemed to be enjoying Alissa's little show.

Well this is going to be great. Note the sarcasm.

"Alissa, I need to get home soon. Can we please leave." I rolled my eyes, trying to avert my eyes from the situation in front of me.

"Hold on Cassie." She smirked as I rolled my eyes again.

"Jealous much Cas?" Carter raised an eyebrow, smirking too.

What is it with bad boys and smirks?

"No." I muttered, cursing under my breath.

"Because I think jealousy towards another girl with me, is a sign of feelings." He smiled. Not a genuine 'I am so happy' smile, but a devious greedy smile.

A smile I wanted to slap off on his face.

"Oh my god Cas, don't be jealous." Alissa rolled her eyes, taking in the sight of Carter. Lust flickered in her eyes, making me want to gag.

"If you're going to make out or have sex, please don't do it in front of me." I covered my eyes.

What? My precious eyeballs don't want to go blind...

"You are such a party pooper." Alissa snapped, rolling her eyes again.

"Yeah. But unlike some other teenagers, I have a curfew and care about my grades. I still need to do my homework you know." I said, getting extremely annoyed with her.

"Cassie!" Alissa whimpered. "Just a couple more minutes? Your friend is so hot!"

*insert picture of me gagging right here*

"I can take Cassie home for you Alissa. Cassie can become so cranky whenever she doesn't get what she wants." He teased. "Again, she does have a curfew...and we don't want our little Cas to get in trouble. After all, she is such a good girl."

"Jerk" I muttered. "Did you bring an actual car this time?"

"Sweetheart, have you met me? I don't do cars." He winked, leaving Alissa a little shocked. She shot me an evil glare as we walked out the mall exit.

Let's just say I wasn't in the happiest mood either.
