Introduction
Reluctantly Yours (HYUNHO)
Marriage was supposed to be a sacred union, a promise of love and devotion. But for Hyunjin and Minho, it was nothing more than a contractâa deal between two families who thought wealth and security mattered more than emotions.
Hyunjin had always been the kind of person to put others before himself. He never once questioned his parents' love or their decisions. If they believed this marriage was what was best for him, who was he to refuse? He never expected love, nor did he yearn for it. Love was a foreign conceptâsomething he only saw in movies and books, never in his own life. So, when his parents told him he would be marrying a man he had never met, he smiled and agreed.
Minho, on the other hand, was furious. His life had been perfect with Seungmin by his side. He had dreams, plans, a future he had already envisioned. But all of that was ruined by an arrangement he never asked for. His hatred toward Hyunjin was instant. In his eyes, Hyunjin was nothing more than a spoiled brat who got everything handed to him on a silver platter. And Minho refused to be one of those things.
Their first meeting set the tone for what was to come. Minho pulled Hyunjin aside, his voice dripping with venom as he spat out the words, "I don't want this, and I will never love you. I already have someone I love, so don't get any ideas."
Hyunjin simply smiled, his heart already accustomed to rejection before it could even desire acceptance. "That's okay," he said softly. "I won't get in your way."
What followed was months of silent suffering. Minho ignored him, belittled him, and worst of allâlet Seungmin hurt him when no one was looking. And Hyunjin took it all, enduring the cold stares, the bruising words, and the loneliness that came with being an unwanted husband.
But every heart has its breaking point.
One day, without warning, Hyunjin disappeared.
And for the first time in his life, Minho felt what it was like to lose something he never thought he'd miss.
