Chapter 13 ~ All Along He Plotted It

I have started on the journals.. I have never seen some of them. There are journals from when my mom was a girl. And, she was a happy kid! Then, I read something that shocked me to the core. My mother was a hybrid! Her father was the Alpha of Starry Moon Pack in Wyoming! She was born and raised in this realm!

I ran for Aaron’s office. Barged right in like I own the place.. I whisper yell “My mom was a hybrid!! She had a wolf! Her father was Starry Moon’s Alpha!” He sat there looking as stunned as I feel.. He says “That means she was raised here.. on earth. I believe the old Alpha is still alive! His ascended about ten years ago. We can call them, if you’d like.. Gavin are we still allies with Starry Moon? I know Dad was.. can’t remember if we renewed.”

I climb into his lap.. reading the journal. Every time I came to a new memory, I excitedly told Aaron. “My grandmother was a princess of DullenDirk. Her older sister was to take the throne. And my mom has a brother.. he was ten years younger than her. His name in Andrew. “

Aaron nods, smiling at me “That’s the Alpha’s name now! So, it’s safe to assume he is your uncle! Let’s call first… before we get too far ahead of ourselves!” Gavin comes in and lets us know that Silver Steele and Starry Moon are indeed allies!

Aaron checks the file..and punches in the number..making sure the speaker is engaged.. It was answered on the second ring…by a woman identifying as the Beta female.. Aaron asks “Is Alpha Andrew available to speak with me? It is of utmost urgency.” She tells him Andrew is picking his parents up from the airport and wouldn’t be home for a couple hours. Aaron then asks for his cell phone number.

He hung up, and immediately dialed the cell. Andrew answered immediately “Was just reading a text that you have an urgent matter to discuss?” Aaron replied “I do! Are your parents with you?” Andrew answered they were. Aaron asks him to be put on speaker.. the says “Who is Arwyn Greenleaf to you?”

The silence was deafening..until Andrew’s voice said “I apologize.. it has been twenty one years since we have heard her name spoken. She was my sister.. she and her child died in childbirth twenty one years ago!” I gasp and say “I didn’t die! Why would Callan say I died.. when I didn’t die!?”

Aaron chuckles “My turn to apologize. My mate is a little excited. Her name is Shaelin Greenleaf and her parents are Callan and Arwyn Greenleaf of DullenDirk Kingdom in Alfheim realm. It’s a complicated story that deserves to be heard. Right now, we are staying close to home.. there is some danger to Shaelin and I won’t risk a roadtrip at this time.”

Andrew doesn’t hesitate “I have already turned my car south… You’re on the Colorado/Wyoming border.. correct?” As Aaron said yes…Andrew says to give them two hours.

I feel tears fill my eyes. I snuggle into Aaron and whisper “I have a family?” He kissed the top of my head and tells me what he knows. He said “they are good people..a strong pack..wealthy. Alpha Bernard was an investor..and made a killing in the stock market. Andrew works even though he doesn’t need to.. They are going to adore you.. so stop fidgeting!”

I read how my mother had gone with her mother..to the coronation of my mom’s aunt. There she met her mate.. Callan Greenleaf.. a highborn Light Elf.. with a promising future as head warrior. They were mated and marked within that first week..and she was pregnant with me before the third month.. In her fourth month of pregnancy.. her aunt.. the Queen died mysteriously.. making my grandmother next in line and she abdicated the throne to Arwyn.. and my mother named Callan as King.

Now.. I am wondering.. Had that been Callan’s plan all along? I run it by Aaron..then I ask “What if he had something to do with the Queen’s death? Knowing my grandmother didn’t want the throne.. it would naturally fall to my mother to be Queen! Is he that corrupt?”

Aaron looks at me sadly “There’s a good possibility he did.. He murdered your mother.. killing your aunt would have been a piece of cake! I wouldn’t put anything past him! He killed hos own mate and sent assassins to kill his daughter! The guy is a piece of shit!”

I agree “That would mean he had planned this from about the time he realized my mom was his mate! Not even seven months into their relationship.. my aunt is dead.. my mother is queen.. and Callan crowned king… Two weeks after the coronation, I am born..and she is dead! He planned on being King! All along… he plotted it!”
